Today on our 2007 Dodge Nitro we are doing a test fit of the Swagman Dispatch 2 platform-style bike rack. That part number is S64684. We already have our bikes secured down. I'm first going to show you how we do that. At each tire we have ratchet straps that are going to hold them in place, and then we also bushings there that are just going to prevent any scratches or abrasions from our strap onto our tire. Today on our 2007 Dodge Nitro, we're doing a test fit of the Swagman XC-2 Platform Style Bike Rack. That part number is S64650. We already have our bike secured down, we're just going to show you how we do that. In the center here we have a frame hook which is really going to hold our bike down and into our wheel cradles. Now you may notice on this bike compared to some other platform style, we don't have any kind of straps on our wheel cradles, but I can tell you from experience and reading though customer reviews that you don't have to worry about your wheels coming loose or anything like that. The frame hook does very well at holding our bike into place. more

We've got 3 on our frame and 1 is our anti-sway in the back. We're going to start by removing those, then we'll we'll be able to pull our bike off of our rack, and set it off to the side. Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan- Video
Today on our 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan we'll be doing a test of the Swagman XC-2 bike platform style rack. That's for inch and a quarter or two inch trailer hitches. Part number on it is S64650. As you can see we've already got the XC-2 installed on our caravan and secure in our receiver tUBE. The XC-2 secures our bike by it's top tube by putting pressure on the bike's frame and ultimately on the tires so they sit firmly in our two adjustable wheel cradles. I'm going to go ahead and remove the bike so that I can go over some measurements and show you how the bike rack interacts with your vehicle. To remove the bike there is just these latches right here that are going to allow our frame hooks to raise up. more

Saris Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan- Video
Today on our 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan, we'll be doing a test fit of the Saris Bones Tilting 2 Bike Rack. That's part number SA882. I've already got it loaded up on the Grand Caravan just to give a good idea of what it's going to look like and how it's going to hold our bike. It secures our bike in three spots. We have two straps for our top tube and then one for our down tube. The one for our down tube's going to be our anti-sway strap and it's going to help reduce a lot of the movement and play in our bike from side-to-side as well as prevent bike-to-bike contact and bike-to-vehicle contact. We have our rear wheel strap here and then we have our front wheel hook. All-in-all, the best part about it is that it has no frame contact, excuse me. One of the greatest features about this is its ability to tilt away so we can gain better access to our rear hatch. more

Today on our 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan, we'll be doing a test of the Swagman G10 platform style tilting 2 bike rack. That's part number S64682. So I've already got it loaded up on the Grand Caravan, just to give you a good idea of what it's going to look like. It secures our bike in three spots. We have a frame hook on top here that pushes pressure on our down tube into our two cradles, front and rear, and then the strap goes between our spokes, keeping our whole bike in place. But one of the greatest features of about this bike rig is the ability to tilt away, so we can gain access to our rear hatch. We come back here, pull up on our black tab, or lever, and as promised, we can get into our rear hatch. more

So we have two cradles holding our bike with three zip strips in place, two on our top here and one is our anti-sway in the back there. To remove those, we're going to pinch the two grey pieces on either side and lift straight up. We'll set those off to the side. This can actually tilt away from the rear of the vehicle to get to your cargo area with the bike still attached, which is pretty significant for a hanging style bike rack. To do that, you take the handle here, you pull out, just let it tilt away, and then you can gain access to your cargo area. In this case it works out just find. more

Today on our 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan we're going to be test fitting the Kuat Transfer 3 Bike Rack, part number TS03G. As you can see, we already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's look at some of the features. Now the most interesting feature about this bike rack is the fact that it can tilt away from the vehicle so you can get to your cargo area with the bikes still installed. Now to do that, going to have to lift these out of the way, you go to this lever here, you can push down with your foot. Gently let it down like so and you can gain access to your cargo area. However, unfortunately with the Dodge Grand Caravan model, you are going to run into a little bit of static with the bike rack, or with the bike, excuse me. more

Now, that part number is T89031XT, and the first think we're going to do with our bike on the rack is show you that swing away feature, and then we'll go over some of the other features and how we secure the bike down. We're going to start in the back here. We're first going to remove our T pin here at the back, and just let that hang off to the side. We're going to release this knob here at the bottom, and we're just going to loosen it until it hangs loose out the back. Then, we'll pull up on this last T pin and start to rotate the bike rack away. Now, when it's about half way, and before the bike actually makes contact with the vehicle, we're going to rotate the front of our bike and our rack until that T pin slides into our metal plate there. more

We have 2 cradles in place holding our bike, and we have 4 straps, 3 on our frame and then one is our anti-sway strap here in the back. To release those we're just going to pull down and lift up, and then we'll be able to pull our bike straight off of our rack and set it off to the side. With our bike out of the way, I always suggest that you replace your straps so you don't lose or damage any of them. more

Today on our 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan, we're doing a test fit of the Curt Premium Four Bike Rack. Part number is C18064. Now we have a bike already on our rack, I'm just going to show you a few things. How our bike is tied down, we have two straps up top, we have our anti-sway strap to the side. What we're going to do is we're going to unload the two on the top first, then our anti-sway strap. Now if you we're loading your bike up, you'd just do it the opposite way. more

SportRack Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Dodge Challenger- Video
Today on our 2015 Dodge Challenger, we'll be doing a test fit on the SportRack Ridge Swinging 4-Bike rack, that's for 2-inch hitches only, part number is SR2415. You'll see that we already have a bike on our bike rack, let's show you a few features. The first features we'd like to show you is the swing away, and that one goes is back here, we have a black knob. We're going to un-loosen this first. Then we want to come over here and pull apart T-clip, then we come back here and we pull up on this T-pin, and that releases is. Swing it around a little bit, then we want to swing it until it clicks like so. Swing it around, get our T-pin ready, replace that, and there you go. more

Today on our 2015 Dodge Challenger we're doing a test fit of the SportRack 3 Tilting Bike Rack Carrier for 1-1/4 and 2-inch hitches. Seeing that we already have our bike on our bike rack to our vehicle, let's show you a few features. Right here we have two straps to hold down our bike. Also, an anti-sway strap on the side. Let's go ahead and take these off. How we do it, I will always go when you're loading it, you go first with the anti-sway strap, there are two, so we're going to go backwards. Let's take off our bike, we're going to set this to the side. Now, we always replace our straps so they don't get damaged or we lose them or anything, so like so. I'll put this other strap down first. All right, got it on there now. Now let's take a few measurements. more

Saris Thelma Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan- Video
Today on our 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan, we're doing a test fit of a Saris Thelma 3 bike platform style, part number is SA4239B. We have a bike already in the rack, just going to show you a few things about it. Our front wheel is actually sitting in a wheel cradle with a strap around it. This actually moves, I'll show you that in a little bit. Then we have our back wheel just sitting in the wheel cradle also, with one strap. We're going ahead and remove this one first, set that out of the way. Then we're going to come up here and do the same for the front one. more
