What's up everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna be checking out the etrailer four bike rack on our 2020 Chevrolet Suburban. So this is gonna be a hang style bike rack. The bike is held by the frame right here. So what we like to say is you know, it's fine but it's a little on the road bike, mountain bikes, kids, and alternative frame bikes might need an adapter to get it to fit evenly on here, and you know those frames are a little weird so, it might sit uneven on here but you can put an adapter on there, it'll be just fine. Definitely not for carbon fiber bikes, they have that more delicate frame, so you don't wanna scratch or dent anything on one of those, so I wouldn't recommend it for that. more

So you could easily do the same with a hanging-style bike rack. But I always prefer a platform just because you get a little bit more stability and it's easier to load and unload your bikes. more

It's gonna be a hanging-style bike rack, so it's gonna hold the bike by the frame. So we recommend not using carbon fiber bikes on here, that could damage the frame, and you don't wanna do that. The other issue you might have is alternative frame bikes, or some kids' bikes, you might have to get a bike adapter bar. So that'll hook in here at the seat, and the handlebars, and it'll sit here in these cradles, that way it's nice and even. more

Normally, your platform style is, I would say, the preferred method for a lot of people, if that's available. It does give you the most secure hold on your bike while transporting, and really, it keeps you from having to look in your rear view mirror, and hoping that your bikes are not hitting each other, or the car. So that in itself is really nice. You can fit two bikes on here, up to 35 pounds per bike. more

One of the big questions that we do get asked all the time in regards to hitch-mounted bike racks is if you're still gonna be able to have access to the back of your SUV. And the answer is yes, with this one. It folds down out of the way. And whenever you need to do that, you'll pull out this pin and clip, the center here will swing down and this goes down really far, actually, a lot more than others, so it gives you a ton of room to work with. more

Thule Hitching Post Pro Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2021 Chevrolet Colorado- Video

Hi there Colorado owners, today in your 2021 Chevrolet, Colorado, we are going to be test fitting Thule's Hitching Post Pro hanging bike rack. This hanging style rack holds your bike with the cradles on top and the included straps as well as a one down the bottom to act as an anti-sway. This will help keep your bikes from contacting one another one when going down the road. If we take a closer look at our cradles here you can see that there's grooves in them, and that allows the cables on the bottom of our bike to fit down in those grooves so they don't cause any scratches or abrasions to our bike's finish. When you're ready to use your bikes, simply remove the straps, and then you can pull your bike off. This is working great with our bike here. more

Now, right this way, you can see this does have a nice platform style rack. However, we do have a frame mount system here in the middle on our mast, so keep in mind, if you trying to transport any kind of carbon frames, this probably won't be the option for you. That downwards motion is gonna deteriorate our frame, so if you're looking for something to carry that, probably not the best option for you. However, it is a nice little system here. more

So this is gonna be great for your electric bikes as it has 60 pounds per bike. And it's also going to be good for your fat tire bikes as these metal wheel cradles are gonna be able to hold tire with up to five inches. Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe S64650- Video

What's going on, Adam here, with etrailer. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Swagman XC on our 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe. So if you're looking for pretty entry-level rack this one's gonna cover some bases that I look for in a rack. One, it isn't gonna be for the carbon fibre bikes as it does have a frame hook but it makes it nice and solid but it is gonna have a lot of adjustments. So we're gonna have a maximum wheel base of 52 inches. The nice thing about it is we can go ahead and adjust these by loosening this knob. more
