Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Equinox, we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit with removable arms. Part number is BX1689. Here's what our base plate looks like once we've got it installed and the fascia back in. You can see it's pretty nice and hidden. You don't see a whole lot of it. When we're ready for towing we've got our removable arms, we'll just slide those in. Rotate them until you hear our pin click into position. more

Today, on our 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt, we are installing our Road Master Easy Base plate Kit with Removable Arms. Part Number 523137-1. To get started we need to take off our front bumper fascia and our radiator protective cover, here. To do that, I grab my puller tool, slide it under the little pin here. That's the head of our pushpin, then slide it underneath the base, and pop that out. Now, if you don't have a tool like this you can use a screwdriver. I've turned our front wheels so I can get in to our wheel well. We have 3 bolts up here to take out and then we will have 2 bolts underneath. more

Easy custom fit installation with no welding, and no drilling required either. You're also going to see that you're going to have those quick disconnect pins. That way when you're not towing it behind a vehicle you can pull out your brackets and nobody will hardly even know that you have a base plate attached to your vehicle. Place those on the inside of your tow vehicle, or in the vehicle that you're towing. more

Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Colorado 4WD, we're going to take a look at, and then show you how to install, the Blue Ox base plate kit with removable arms. This is part number BX1721. This is going to work for the Chevy Colorado 4WD with or without the adaptive cruise control, and also for the 2015 GMC Canyon 4WD with or without the adaptive cruise control. Basically, you can see the kit all spread out here. That's the main part of the unit, that's going to be the actual base plate itself. We've got our removable arms here. This is a really good custom fit design, so we're going to have the spacers that fit right into the factory holes there. more

Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Equinox we're going to be installing the Roadmaster XL. This is a base plate kit with removable arms. Its part number is 3160-1B. Here's what the base plate's going to look like once we have it attached to our vehicle with the removable arms in place. This is going to offer us a nice, flat mounting surface with two holes that are going to work out great for the quick disconnects and all Roadmaster tow bars can easily be attached. Now, when not in use, when we don't need these arms out at the front, we've got an easy to get to spring clip here on the side. more

Here across the front we need to remove the cover. There are multiple fasteners that will need to be removed. Once we have all the fasteners removed, we'll go ahead and take the cover off and set it aside for reinstallation later. Today on our 2002 Chevrolet Malibu we're going to show you part number 194-3. This is the Roadmaster XL Base Plate Kit with removable arms. All right now this is what the Base Plate looks like when it's installed on the vehicle. It does hang below the bottom edge of the bumper so you can't see it all the way, but at least you do not have to do any trimming or cutting on the grill or the bumper cover. As angle on 00:26 body, that goes to the receiver right here and it uses four existing bolts already in the vehicle and plus one additional hole that's already existing in the vehicle so there's actually no drilling required. The Base Plate and the removable arm are both powder coasted for protection. How do they connect together is with 5/8 hitch pin and clip. When we want to remove them, we'll go ahead and pull out the pin and clip like so. more

Today on our 2013 Chevy Captiva, well be installing the Blue Ox Base-Plate with removable arms Product Number BX3332. Now to install the removable tabs, turn it so the groove lines up and pushes back on the spring lock then rotate it until it lines up with the groove and the base plate and locks into place. Then to remove it, well pull back on the pin ring, rotate it up and remove the arm. To get it installed well first go ahead and open the hood. Well need to remove the upper fascia cover that connects the front fascia to the core support. There are multiple fasteners to be removed. more

To begin with, we're going to need to raise the hood of the vehicle. With our hood raised, we're going to need to remove three screws. To remove the screws, we're just using a 10mm socket. With these three screws removed, we'll go ahead and repeat the same process over on the driver's side. Next, we're going to need to go up underneath the vehicle. Again, we're going to start over here on the passenger side. We're going to need to remove these three screws next. more

Today on this 2011 Chevrolet Equinox we're going to install part number 3160-1B from Roadmaster. This is the Roadmaster XL baseplate kit with removable arms. To install a baseplate we need to temporarily remove the front fascia or bumper-cover. Just underneath the hood there's a series of fasteners we have to remove. We have a plastic fastener right here. Take the flat screwdriver, there's a little slot where you can put it in, and pull out the center, and work it loose. The trim panel tool works just a little bit better. more

Today on our 2014 Chevy Sonic, we'll be installing the Roadmaster EZ5 base plate kit with removable arm, part number RM-523173-5. Now, to begin our install, we'll first go ahead and open up the hood. We'll need to remove the fasteners that secure the upper fascia to the grille and core support. To remove the plastic push pin fasteners, we'll pry out on the center and then remove the fastener completely. There are a total of 6 push pin fasteners. Next, we'll need to remove the four bolts that also secure the upper fascia. Now, our upper fascia is loose. more

Next we'll need to remove multiple screw and push pin fasteners so that we can remove the front fascia. We'll remove the four Torx bit fasteners across the front fascia first. Next we're going to remove a push pin fastener in each side. We'll do one on each side. To remove the push pin fastener, we're just going to take a flat blade screwdriver, get underneath the center of the fastener and pry it up to release it. more

Today on our 2012 Chevy Malibu, we'll be installing the Blue Ox base plate kit with removable arms, part number BX1679.Speaker 2: I'll go ahead and do a demonstration of installing the removable arms. We'll line up the arm with the base plate tube, slide it in, and turn until it locks into position. Take the removable arm out of the base plate or simply pull back on the locking ring releasing the pin. Rotate the removable arm, it will release from the base plate, then we can install the receiver cap plug to keep out the dust, dirt, and debris.To begin our install, we'll first need to remove the front fascia. Today on our 2010 Chevy Equinox we'll be installing the Blue Ox baseplate kit with removable arms, part number BX1689. To begin our install we'll first need to remove the front fascia. To remove the front fascia we'll go ahead and open up the hood and begin removing the fasteners under the hood. Starting from the center and working our way out, there are 4 Torx bit fasteners, 2 on each side. Remove the Torx bit fasteners and set them aside for installation later. Then begin removing the push-pin fasteners. There'll be a total of 6, 3 on each side. more

Today on our 2010 Chevrolet Malibu, we'll be installing the Blue Ox base plate kit with removable arms, part number BX1679. We're going to begin by raising the hood on the vehicle. From the driver's side, we'll need to remove six bolts, as well as two push fasteners. Over here on the passenger side, we'll need to remove five bolts and two push fasteners. We'll be using a 10mm socket, as well as a trim panel removal tool or a large flat head screwdriver. We'll go ahead and the bolts and push fasteners aside as they will be reinstalled later. Now, we can go ahead and lift this section of plastic out of the way. Next, we're going to go here at each of the wheel wells. more

To remove the tow hooks, there are two fasteners on each side. We'll first go ahead and remove these bolts and nuts and set them aside, as they will not be re-installed. Then once the hardware is out of the way, we can pull the tow hook out of the frame. We'll go ahead and set itaside, asthe tow hooks will not be re-installed and the base plates will sit in this position. more

Today on this 2013 Chevrolet Equinox we're going to install part number 3160-1A from Roadmaster. First off we need to get underneath the hood. We need to remove two plastic fasteners and four T20 torque bolts that attach the top of the fascia to the core support. Next we need to go in the fender well right where the bumper cover meets the fender body we'll go ahead and remove the screw. Now this screw is in a vertical position and it uses a 7 millimeter socket. Then along the edge o f the fender well going down towards the tire they'll be a couple more screws we'll have to remove and a couple of plastic fasteners. more

Today on our 2008 Chevy Silverado we'll be installing the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit with Removable Arms part number BX1674. To begin our install, we'll first need to remove the manufacturers tow hook. There'll be one on each side and we'll repeat the same process for both sides. To remove the manufacturers tow hook, we'll first go ahead and remove the bolts which would be the rear fastener. Now with the bolts out of the way, we can then go ahead and remove the bolt and nut that secures the forward fastener. Once weve removed the nut, pull the bolt out, we'll then go ahead and pull out the tow hook. more

Today on our 2012 Chevy Sonic, well be installing the Roadmaster Falcon all terrain tow bar, part number rm-522. Well be installing this on to the Roadmaster easy two baseplate with removable arms, part number 523173-1. The first step of installing our Falcon tow bar, well be installing the quick disconnect brackets on to the removable arms of the baseplate. To do this, well take the bracket lining up the predrilled holes on the bracket with the predrilled holes on the arms. Then well take our bolt and run it through the bolt plate, through the bracket, and through the arm securing it with a flat washer, split lock washer and nut. Therell be a total of two bolts per arm, for a total of four bolts altogether.Now with all of our hardware installed finger tight, well then take the quick disconnect base and drop it into position on top of the quick disconnect brackets. more

Today in our 2012 Chevrolet Sonic, we'll be installing the Roadmaster EZ2 Base Plate Kit with Removable Arms, part number 523173-1. Note, we've already gone ahead and raised the vehicle and removed the front tires. However, it is not necessary. It can make it easier in the removal and reassembly of the front clip. We'll remove the six pushpin fasteners and four bolts going across the top of the front of the clip underneath the hood. Next, we're going to go ahead and move underneath the vehicle, where we will remove seven Torx bit fasteners, one plastic pushpin fastener, and two bolts so that we can go ahead and disconnect the front clip from the lower fascia and remove the lower panel. more

Today on this 2011 Chevy Malibu were going to install part number 523145-5 from Roadmaster. First thing we need to do is get up underneath the hood and we need to remove the shroud from the radiator cover. There will be a variety of fasteners that well have to remove all the way around the edge of it. Therell be combination of bolts and plastic rivets. Next well go down by the fender well and remove three plastic fasteners that attach the fender liner to the corner of the fascia. Well also remove a 10 millimeter bolt attaching the corner of the fascia to the fender and the bolt will be pointing upwards at a little bit of an angle so its a little bit hard to see. more

Therell be four screws across the front that we have to remove and plus two pushpins on each side that we have to remove. Next we need to go underneath the fender well on the driver side, therell be two fasteners to remove. Therell be a torque screw that well have to remove and also therell be a hex bolt that will be facing upwards in the fender well that we have to remove as well. Well do this on both sides of the vehicle. more

Today on our 2010 Chevrolet Traverse, we will be installing the Roadmaster EZ base plate kit, part number 523149-1. Now to begin our installation we will need to remove the front bumper cover, to do this we will remove the ten plastic fasteners attaching the radiator cover to the course of port fascia here on the top. Now on each side of the vehicle theres one plastic fastener attaching the weather stripping here at the back for the hood, to the cover, so well need to remove those as well. With that done we can go ahead and set the cover aside for reinstallation later. We will now remove the six 7 mm bolts attaching the radiator core to the course of port; this will loosen up the upper bumper cover. We will now move into our fender wells here where we will need to remove the 7 mm bolt and the two Phillips head screws, these are all located on the inside edge of the fender well. more

Today on our 2008 Chevy HHR, we'll be installing the Blue Ox base plate, Part # BX1692. We've already gone ahead and raise the front of the vehicle and remove the front tires. This will make it easier to remove the passenger as necessary on the inner wheel well. With the hood popped, we got four fasteners just inside of the front headlights that will need to be removed. We'll move to the inner fender well, we got one more screw and two pushpin fasteners for each side. Each process we do here on the passenger side is going to get repeat identically on the driver side. more

Today on this 2010 Chevrolet Colorado you are going to be installing Roadmaster Base Plate Kit part number 3122-1. Before you get started with the installation you want to take a quick look over the front of your vehicle to see which features your vehicle has, depending on these features you may have to do a couple of different things which are referenced in the instructions. You can see this particular vehicle has the factory installed tow hooks and this one also has the factory installed skid plate as well. The third one is the auxiliary air pump which again this vehicle does have. It can be easier seen with the skid plate removed. The first thing I am going to do is remove the tow hooks and the skid plate. On the tow hooks depending on your model you may have one or two mounting bolts holding them in place. 00:48 more

There will be a variety of fasteners here. They go from here, all the way across to the other side. Four torque bits and one is a plastic rivet on each side. Today on this 2007 Chevrolet Malibu we are going to install part number 523120-1 from Roadmaster, the EZ Base Plate Kit. The first thing we need to do is open up the hood and get some fasteners so we can take off the front bumper cover. There will be some fasteners on the top and the bottom. With the rivets we just have to unscrew the top part of them and we will pop up the bottom half. When it does not unscrew very easily, pull up on the plastic a little to bind it up and that might help back out the screw. Now we are underneath the vehicle starting over on the driver side. We are going to take out these 7 millimeter fasteners and work our way all the way around the edge of the bumper. There is also four plastic rivets we need to remove along the way too. Lets remove this plastic part here with these two rivets and then we will go back to the original rivets we were going to take out before. Now that you can see the plastic rivets remove these four too. Next we are going to remove these two little panels right here, these little rivets and that will give us a more room to take off the bumper cover easier. 01:38 more
