Let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. Now, the first feature is going to be the fact that it can tilt away from the vehicle with the bike still attached to it. To do that, we'll go to the passenger here where there's a silver handle. We'll pull that out while holding onto the bike rack and gently let it come forward. With that done, we can actually have full access to our rear hatch to get whatever we need. more

Today in our 2016 Nissan Rogue, we'll be having a look at the Saris Bones hitch two bike rack for inch and a quarter, and two inch hitches. It is part number SA882. As you can see we already have a bike attached to the bike rack. Let's go over and look at a couple of key features. We have three points of contact where the bike is secured. We have two here at the top with these rubber strips, and then we have another one here on this frame post which will help prevent swaying, which can cause the bike to come in contact with the carrier itself or another bike in front of it. more

Today on our 2016 Nissan Rouge, we'll be having a look at the Kuat Transfer 3-bike platform rack for 1 1/4 and 2-inch hitches. That's part number TS03G. As you can see, we already have a bike mounted on it. One of the nice features about this rack is we can gain access to the rear hatch while our bike is still on it by pressing down this lever here in the front of it, lowering the assembly arm down and we will have full access to the hatch to put anything in or get anything else that we may need. Let's close this up. Raise this back into position. more

Softride Element-Parallelogram Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 Nissan Rogue- Video

Today on our 2016 Nissan Rogue, we'll be having a look at the Softride Element Parallelogram Tilting 4 Bike Rack for inch and quarter and two inch hitches. One thing about hanging bike racks is normally you can't fold the rack down to gain access to the rear hatch of your vehicle once the bike is installed. However, on this particular model you can. In order to do that, there is a black handle on the right hand side of it, just go ahead and pull it out and lower it on down. With that down, as you can see, we have full access to the rear of our vehicle to get anything in and out that we may need. Just go ahead and close this up and get this back into normal position for going down the road. Once you hear that click, it is back in the upright and locked position. The bike is held in place with two rubber straps here in the front, here in the back. more

Today on this 2016 Nissan Rogue, we're going to be test fitting the Thule T2 Pro 2-Bike Rack, part number TH9034. As you can see we already had a bike installed on the rack. Let's go ahead and show off some of the features. Now, the main feature of this is the fact that it can tilt away from the vehicle with the bike still attached. To do this, you go to the front here on this gray handle, pull in like that, holding onto the bike rack, letting it come down, and now we have full access to the rear hatch to get whatever we need. Now, one of the advantages of this rack is the fact that it has this handle on the end as opposed to trying to go through the bikes to get to that handle. Lift it back in place and it's locked in. How the bike is actually attached to the rack, there's going to be no actual frame contact with this. more

How the bike actually attaches to the rack, we're going to have 3 points of contact. We're going to have 2 straps up at the top here, and then 1 off to the side here, which is going to act as an anti sway strap to keep the bike from moving too far back and forth, possibly hitting on to the bike rack, or the bikes in front of it. It also has an integrated cable lock here at the front, which you will wrap around the bikes and attach to this portion here, for additional security. I'm just going to take the bike off and set it aside. I'm going to go ahead and put the straps back into place. It's just a good habit to do, so that you don't lose them while driving. more

Inno Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Nissan Rogue- Video

Today on our 2015 Nissan Rogue we're going to be doing a test fit of the Inno Tire Hold 3. This is going to be your platform-style 3bkr, part number INH305-306. As you can see, we've already got our rack up here on our hitch with our bike in place so you can see what it's going to look like once you have it fully assembled and installed on your vehicle. Now do keep in mind that this rack does come with your 1-1/4" shank with a 2" adapter. If you plan on using it with your class one receivers, you will only be able to carry up to two bikes, and that's per your hitch's specifications. You can carry all three bikes with your class two and three receivers. It also does come with your anti-rattle bolt to help reduce a lot of the sway, rattle, and wobble that you would have in any ordinary bike rack. more

SportRack Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Nissan Rogue- Video

Today on our 2015 Nissan Rouge, we're going to be doing a test fit of the SportRack 3, Hanging Style 3-Bike Rack, part #SR2403. As you can see, we already have our bike up here on our platform, so you can see what it's going to look like once you have it fully assembled and on the back of your vehicle. This rack does come with your inch and a quarter shank, as well as your 2-inch adapter, so you can use it with your Class 1, 2, and 3 receivers. The thing that you need to keep in mind, though, is, if you're going to be using it with your Class 1 receivers, you will only be able to carry up to 2 bikes. That's per the weight requirements of your Class 1 receiver. Let's go ahead and start off with a few measurements. Our closest distance is going to be at the bottom of the flange down here on the bottom side at about 3 3/4 inches to the back side of the receiver. Overall distance that we've added to the back of the vehicle, from the rear of the bumper to the back of the rack, at about 29 inches. more

SportRack Super EZ Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2014 Nissan Rogue- Video

Today on our 2014 Nissan Rogue, we'll be test fitting the Sport Rack Super EZ Platform Style Hitch Mounted 2 Bike Rack, part number SR2901LR. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the bike rack into the opening of the hitch. After lining up the pin holes, we'll thread in our anti-rattle bolt, tighten it down using a wrench, and then secure it with the lock on the other side. With the bike rack secured, we'll go over a few clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. From the back of the bike rack, we have about 14-1/4" of ground clearance. Closest part of the bike rack to the closest part of the vehicle is about 4" away, and we've added about 20" to the overall length of our Rogue. To access the cargo area, we'll need to remove the three black pins at the base of the bike rack. We'll fold down the two wheel trays and the mast. As you can see, we can easily gain access to the rear hatch. To load up a bike, we'll need to make sure the mast of the rack is in its upright position. more

Today, on our 2014 Nissan Rouge, we'll be test-fitting the Saris Freedom hitch-mounted platform style 4-Bike Rack, part number SA4414B. Closest part of the bike rack to the closest part of the vehicle is about 5 inches away and we've added about 18 inches to the overall length of our Rouge. more

Today on our 2014 Nissan Rouge, we'll be test fitting the Sport Rack Hitch Mounted 3 Bike Rack, part# SR2403. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the bike rack into the opening of the hitch. After lining up the pin holes, we'll thread in our anti-rattle bolt, tighten it down with a wrench. Go With the bike rack secured, we'll go over a few clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. We have about 14 1/2" of ground clearance. Closest part of the bike rack to the closest part of the vehicle is about 2 1/2" away, and we've added about 7" to the overall length of our Nissan. We can now remove the black pin on the top of the mast and swing the cradle arms out. With the cradle arms out, we've added about 24" to the overall length of our Rouge. To access the cargo area, we'll need to remove the black pin and clip at the base of the bike rack and tilt down the mast. more

Today on our 2014 Nissan Rogue we'll be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Traveler Tow 'n Go 3-Bike Rack, part number HR135. Today we'll be using the ball mount with an extra long shank, part number 80232. Keep in mind the ball mount and hitch ball are sold separately. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the ball mount into the opening of the hitch. We'll then go ahead and line up the pin holes and secure it with a standard 5/8 hitch pin and clip. You'll notice since the ball mount is secured with only a hitch pin, there is some wobble within the hitch which may cause the back of the bike rack to hit the rear of the vehicle. more

Well begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the bike rack into the opening of hitch. Well thread in the anti-rattle bolt and tighten it down using a wrench. With the bike rack secured well go over a few clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. We have about 11 inches of ground clearance. The closest part of the bike rack to the closest part of the vehicle is about one inch away, and weve added about 32 inches to the overall length of our Nissan Rogue. more

Swagman Titan Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2013 Nissan Rogue- Video

Today on our 2013 Nissan Rogue, we'll be test fitting the Swagman Titan. Hitch-mounted four-bike rack, part number S63410. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the bike rack into the opening of the hitch. We'll thread in the anti ridal 00:13 bolt, and tighten it down using a wrench. With the bike rack secure, we'll go ahead and bring out our cradle arms. We can do this by lifting up on the black lever of the mast, and swing in the mouth. To access the cargo area, we can lift up at the black lever at the base of the bike rack, and tilt the mast down. As you can see, we can easily gain access to the rear hatch. more

Thule Helium Aero Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2013 Nissan Rogue- Video

Today on our 2013 Nissan Rogue, we'll be test fitting the Thule Helium Aero Hitch-Mounted 2 Bike Rack part number TH9042. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the bike rack into the opening of the hitch, allowingthe integrated hitch pin to fall into place, and we'll then turn the black knob to engage the anti-rattle device. With the bike rack secured, we'll go over a few clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. We have about 18 inches of ground clearance at the rear of the bike rack, and we've added about 15 inches to the overall length of our Nissan. We can now lift up on the gray lever at the top of the mast and swing the cradle arms out. With the cradle arms out, we've added about 23 and a half inches to the overall length of our Nissan. To access the cargo area, we can lift up the gray lever at the base of the bike rack and tilt the mast down. more

Hollywood Racks Traveler Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2013 Nissan Rogue- Video

Today on our 2013 Nissan Rogue, we'll be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Traveler hitch mounted four bike rack, part number HR8500. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the bike rack into the opening of the hitch, while threading the anti-rattle bolts and tighten it down using a wrench. With the bike rack secured, we'll go ahead and swing out our dual arms. We'll remove the pin at the top of the mast and swing out the cradle arms, re-securing it with the pin. To access the cargo area, we can pull the pin at the base of the carrier and tilt the mast down. As you can see, we can easily gain access to the rear hatch. To load up a bike, we'll make sure the mast is in its upright position. We'll undo the cradle straps, place our bike into the frame cradles, and then secure it with the straps. With our bike all loaded up, that'll complete today's test fit of the Hollywood Racks Traveler, part number HR8500, on our 2013 Nissan Rogue. . more
