Today on our 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe we're going to be doing a test fit of the Sport Rack Ridge Swing. This is going to be your hanging style five bike rack, part number SR2415. As you can see, we've already got a bike up here on our cradle arm so you can see what it's going to look like once you have it fully assembled on the back of your vehicle. It does come with a two inch shank for your two inch receivers only and it's going to be connected to our receiver using an anti-rattle bolt. Let's go ahead and move it out, right after we get a few measurements. Our closest distance will be first from the front side of this t-handle and screw here on the front side to the back side of the bumper. About three and three quarter inches. more

SportRack Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe SR2403- Video

Today on our 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe, we're going to be doing a test fit of the SportRack 3 hanging style three bike rack, part number SR2403. As you can see that we already have our bike up on our platform and on our cradle arm so you can see what's its going to look like once it's fully assembled and in place on the back of your vehicle. Now this rack does come with an inch and a quarter shank as well as that two inch adapter so you can use it with your class 1, 2 and 3 receivers. Just keep in mind that with your class 1 receivers that you're only able to carry up to two bikes and that is per your class 1 hitch requirements and weight specifications. The two inch adapter and an inch and a quarter shank are going to be attached using a anti-ratabolt down here at the bottom to reduce a lot of the sway, rattle and wobble that you will have. We'll show you that here in a few minutes, right after we get a few measurements. Our closest distance is going to be our first measurement and that's going to be about two and one-quarter inches from the backside of the bumper to the front side of this flange bracket in here. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe th9031xt- Video

Today on our 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe, we will be test fitting the Thule Vertex Swing 4-Bike Rack. That's part #TH9031XT. This is for 2 inches, we have got a 2 inch receiver here today. We can go ahead and begin by inserting our shank into our receiver and line our pin holes up. Once we get that lined up, we will then take our included anti-rattle bolt and thread that through. Once we get that hand tightened, we will grab our socket wrench and we will tighten that the rest of the way down.The nice thing about this anti-rattle bolt is it's going to help reduce the play in the rattle within our hitch and our bike rack, once it's tight. more

Today on our 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe, we're going to take a look at the Saris Bike Porter, this is a folding and tilting 4-bike rack. They've designed it for use with 1-1/4 inch or 2 inch hitches, the part number on it is SA404B. They do offer this in a 2-bike configuration as well, that part number is SA402B. Now to begin our test fit, we're going to slide the shank of the rack in until we line up our threaded hole with our hitch pin hole. Then, take our anti-rattle bolt and slide that in, begin threading it through rather. We will want to put this in from the driver side to the passenger side, so just keep that in mind when you're doing it. With it hand-tight, you can see still lot of movement, a lot of play in our connection, so we're going to take our wrench, and we'll tighten this on down. more

Speaker: Today on our 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe we'll be test fitting a Thule Apex 4-Bike Carrier Part No. TH9025. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank over the carrier into the opening of the hitch lining up our pinholes allowing the integrated hitch pin to fall into place and we'll then turn the black knob at the base of the carrier to engage the anti-roll device. With our Thule Apex secured with our Santa Fe we'll go over a few clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. We have about 16 inches of ground clearance. Closest part of the carrier to the closest part of our Santa Fe is here at the rear bumper about 2 inches away and we've added about 13 inches to the overall length of the vehicle. We'll now lift the gray lever at the top of the mast to swing the cradle arms out and with the cradle arms out we've added about 36 inches to the overall length of our vehicle. To access the cargo area we'll lift up the gray lever at the base of the carrier to tilt the mast down. Now as you can see we can easily gain access to the rear hatch of our Santa Fe. To load the bike we'll make sure the mast is in its upright position. We'll undo the cradle straps, place our bike into the frame cradles and secure with the straps. Thule Vertex 4 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe- Video

Today were working with the 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe, and were going to be test fitting the Thule Vertex Four hitch mounted bike carrier, part number TH9029. To mount our carrier to our vehicle well insert the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of the hitch. Well line up the hitch pin hole, thread in our anti-rattle bolt and then tighten it down with a wrench. Next we want to check for rear vehicle access. Well grab the switch at the base of the bike rack and tilt it down. We want to make sure that we can open the cargo door completely and still access the area, even with the bike rack installed. more

Thule Apex 4 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe- Video

Today were working with the 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe, and were going to be test fitting the Thule Apex Four hitch mounted bike carrier. To mount our carrier to the vehicle well make sure that we pull over the automatic hitch pin, slide the shank into the receiver tube and let the hitch pin secure on its own. Then well tighten down the bike using the hand knob at the base to activate the anti-rattle device. Next we want to check for rear vehicle access. Well grab the switch at the base of the bike rack and tilt it down. We want to make sure that we can open the cargo door all the way and access our cargo area, even with the rack installed. more

SportRack EZ Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe- Video

Today, we're working with the 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe and we're going to be test fitting the SportRack 2 Hitch Mounted Bike Carrier, Part Number A30901.To mount the carrier to the vehicle, we'll insert the shank of the carrier in the receiver tube with the hitch. We'll make sure to line up the hitch pinholes then insert our anti-rattle bolt, and tighten it with a wrench. Next, we'll go over a few clearance measurements. We've got about 11-1/2 inches of ground clearance from the bottom of the bike rack to the ground. We have about 6 inches of clearance between the closest part of the bike rack and the closest part of the vehicle. Overall, we've added about 23 inches of additional length to the rear of the vehicle. more

Today on our 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe, well be test fitting part number PS63134. This is the Pro Series Q Slot Platform Style Two Bike Carrier for both 1-1/4 and 2-inch hitches. Now to begin our installation, using the included adaptor for the 2-inch hitch, well slide our bike rack shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole and install our hitch pin. Well then put the safety pin on the other side of our hitch pin which will secure our bike rack to the vehicle. Well now go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance at the back of the bike rack is 15 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle is 6 inches. more

Thule Apex 4 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe- Video

Today on our 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe we'll be test fitting part number TH9025, the Thule Apex 4 Bike Carrier. To begin our test fit we'll simply slide the bike rack shank into the hitch making sure that the integrated locking hitch pin is out of the way. When we slid over the collar of the hitch we can then let go of the integrated locking hitch pin and allow it to slide into the hitch pin hole. After it's slid into the hitch pin hole we'll simply give it a slight tug and tighten down the anti-rattle knob here at the bottom of the bike rack. And with the knob tight, our bike rack is secured to the vehicle and we can load it up. And our ground clearance at the bike rack is 12 inches, and from the closest point of the bike rack mast to the back of the vehicle is 10 inches. more
