Today on our 2011 Chrysler Town & Country we'll be test fitting the Kuat NV Platform Style Aluminum 2 Bike Rack, part number N101. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the bike rack into the opening of the hitch. We'll line up the pinholes and insert our pin through the pinholes. Then secure with the lock on the other side. We can then turn the black knob and the back of the shank to engage the anti-rattle device. With the bike rack secured, we'll now go over a few clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. We have about a 11" of ground clearance. more

We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the bike rack into the opening of the hitch. We'll thread in our anti rattle bolt and tighten it with a wrench. With the bike rack secured, we'll go over a few clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. We have about eleven inches of ground clearance. Closest part of the bike rack to the closest part of the vehicle is about nine inches away and with the cradle arms down we've added about fourteen inches to the overall length of our Town and Country. We can now loosen up the black knobs on the top left and right hand corner of the mast to swing out our dual arms. With the cradle arms out, we've added about thirty eight inches to the overall length of our Chrysler. more

The closest part of the bike rack to the closest part of the vehicle is about four and three-quarters of an inch, and weve added about 10 inches to the overall length of our Chysler. more

With the bike rack secure, we'll go over a few clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. We have about 14 inches of ground clearance at the rear of the bike rack. The closest part of the bike rack to the closest part of the vehicle is about 2 inches away, and we've added about 9-1/2 inches to the overall length of our vehicle with the cradle arms folded down. We can now pull the gray lever at the top of the mast to swing the cradle arms out. With the cradle arm out we've added about 33 inches to the overall length of our Town and Country. To access the cargo area we can lift up the gray lever at the base of the bike rack and tilt the mast down. more

We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the ball mount into the opening of the hitch and securing it with a pin and clip. Remember the ball mount and the pin and clip are sold separately. With the ball mount secured, we'll go ahead and show you how to load up a bike. We'll pull out the black pin at the top of the mast to swing the cradle arms out. more

Closest part of the bike rack to the closest part of the vehicle is about four inches away and we've added about 32 inches to the overall length of our Town and Country. To load up a bike, we'll simply undo the cradle straps, place our bike into the frame cradles and then secure it with the straps. Now, one great feature of this bike rack is that it has the ability to tilt down with the bike loaded to give you access to your rear hatch. more

Well slide the shank of the bike rack into the opening of the hitch, thread in our anti-rattle bolt, and tighten it down using a wrench. With the bike rack secured, we'll go over a couple clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. We have about 12" of ground clearance at the rear of the bike rack. The closest part of the bike rack to the closest part of the vehicle is about 2" away, and we've added about 23" to the overall length of our Town and Country. We can pull the three silver pins at the base of the bike rack to tilt down the wheel cradles as well as the mast. As you can see, we can easily access the rear hatch. To load a bick, we'll make sure that the mast is in its upright position. more

With the platform folded down, we can now have access to our cargo area. To load the bike, well unfold the mast by sliding the grey lever over to the right hand side, put the frame hooks to the top of the mast and well undo the cradle straps. Well set the bike into the wheel cradles, adjust the frame hook tightly against the frame and secure it with the straps. Our ground clearance here at the back of the bike rack is 13-3/4 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack, here at the wheel cradle to the back of the vehicle is 7 inches. With the bolt tight, our bike rack is secured to the vehicle. We'll now go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance here at the back of the bike rack measures 10-3/4 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack, here at the mast, to the back of the vehicle here at the mast, measures 6 inches. We'll now pull the the pin here at the bottom of the mast and tilt the mast out of the way, where we can then open our cargo door. more

Well then turn the black knobs at the left and right side of the carrier to swing the cradle arms out and well get a measurement of 39 inches added to the overall length of the vehicle with the cradle arms are folded out. more

To access our cargo area well pull the three pins at the bottom of the carrier to unfold the platform and the mast, this will allow us to have access to our cargo door. more

Now well go over a handful of clearance measurements so you can get an idea of how the rack is going to fit behind the vehicle. Weve got about 10 inches of ground clearance and 5 inches of clearance between the closest part of the carrier and the closest part of the vehicle. Overall weve added about 18 inches of length to the rear of our Town and Country. more

Today on this 2010 Chrysler Town and Country were going to do a test fit of part number a30901 from SportRack. This is SportRacks 2 Bike Easy Hitch Mounted Rack. One quick note, this bike will work with 1-3/4 receiver hitches class one and class two, and will also work on 2 receiver hitches with the included spacer, and we will be using that today. Okay the first thing we will do is go ahead and install the bicycle rack into the hitch and then we will tighten down the anti rattle bolt and put the safety pin on the other side, and we use a 3/4 wrench to tighten it down. Okay from the closest point of the bicycle rack to the rear hatch on the van is going to be 9-1/2, and ground clearance will be 10-1/2, now we will go ahead and fold the rack and give you one more measurement at the very end of it. We will pull out two key pins, unfold it and then reinstall the pins in matching holes. more

Today on this 2010 Chrysler Town and Country were going to do a test fit of part number rg8015220 from RhodeGear, this is their highway 2 bike carrier. Quick note about this bike carrier it will fit 1-1/4 receiver hitches both class 1 and class 2, and will also work with a 2 receiver hitch with included spacer, and thats what well be using today. We will go ahead and install the bike rack into the receiver hitch, tighten down the anti-rattle bolt and safety pin on the other side. And we use a wrench to tighten it down. Okay now we will give you some measurements to give you an idea of clearance between the bicycle rack and the van, and the ground. At the closest point to the bumper were looking at 4-1/2, and ground clearance will be 9-1/2. more
