Darby Extend-A-Truck Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2013 Chevrolet Silverado

Today on our 2013 Chevrolet Silverado, we're going to be taking a look at the Darby Hitch Mounted Load Extender, part number DTA944. Now if you've ever hauled with your truck, I'm sure most of us have been in the situation where we either needed to carry a ladder, some lumber, or maybe even some drywall, and for us those that don't have eight-foot beds, and with most of the load sticking out, it is a little bit unsafe and using the extender is going to be able to give you a spot to tie your load down and make everything more secure. On each end of our extender we're going to have one tie-down point. That way no matter what we are carrying, it's going to be able to secure it down. Now here, with the included pin and clip, we can make our adjustments, so if you need your load to be angled down into your bed, you can raise it up, or if you need it at level, you can lower it down to make it level so your load sits how you want it to. Now our extender is going to work with 2-inch hitches, and it does also include the pin and clip for your hitch. Now our extended truck is going to give us 49" of extra load carrying capability. On the end here, we're going to be able to put all of our loads and anything else we need to carry for up to 4-feet wide. Now our extended truck is going to be able to hold and withstand up to 350-pounds of weight. more

Darby Extend-A-Truck Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2008 Chevrolet Silverado

Today on our 2008 Chevrolet Silverado, we're doing a test fit of the Darby Extend-A-Truck Hitch Mounted Load Extender, part number DTA944. Now we already have it on our vehicle. We're going to go over some features in this position and then we'll go over the second position as well. With this position, it's going to be great if you are wanting to carry anything on your roof if you have even a roof rack on your truck and want to load up any lumber or PVC or any extended loads there. You can you use the tie-downs on our Extend-A-Truck and just lengthen the length of your truck to accommodate for all the different types of cargo that you may have there. We also have different adjustable points so if you did have a roof rack on your truck, you could lift the Extend-A-Truck part up just a bit to even out that distance. The pin and clip here actually do come with the Extend-A-Truck so you don't have to purchase an extra one for this piece here. more
