Convert-A-Ball Ball Mount with 2 Inch Drop Review - 2012 Ford F-250

Today on our 2012 Ford F250 Super Duty we'll be test fitting the Convert-A-Ball cushioned ball mount for two-inch hitches with an 3/4 inch rise or two-inch drop rated at 10,000 pounds, part number AMSC2. Now before we begin our test fit, we will first need to obtain the hitch height of our vehicle. This is the measurement from the ground to the inside top of the receiver tube. We'll get a measurement of about 21-1/2 inches. This measurement may vary due to tire size, hitch style or any other after-market accessories. Now to begin our test fit we'll slide the shank of the ball mount into the opening of the hitch and secure the ball mount to the hitch with pin and clip. We'll now measure from the ground to the top of the ball platform and we'll get a measurement of about 20 inches. If the hitch height of your vehicle matches our hitch height and your trailer ride height, which is the measurement from the ground to the bottom of the coupler while your trailer is level matches this measurement this would be an appropriate ball mount for you. We'll now flip the ball mount over into the rise position and again measure from the ground to the top of the ball platform and well get a measurement of about 22-1/2 inches. more
