Today on our 2013 Chevrolet Silverado well be test fitting the Convert-a-Ball cushioned ball mount for two-inch hitches with a 6 inch rise or 8 inch drop rated at 10,000 pounds, part number amsc8. Now to begin well go ahead and get our hitch height measurement. To do this well measure from the ground to the inside top edge of the receiver tube opening. Our hitch height for this vehicle is 19 1/4 inches. Keep in mind that your measurement can vary due to hitch styles, tire sizes, or any other accessory that may affect your vehicles ride height. Now we can go ahead and slide the shank of our ball mount into our hitch, line up the pin hole, and install our hitch pin and clip. more

To begin our test fit, well first do a measurement to give us out hitch height. To do this well measure from the ground to the top of the receiver tube opening. In this case, thats 18 inches. This measurement can vary due to tire size, style of hitch or any other accessory that may adjust the height of the vehicle. more
