Now these chains are perfect for the occasional use. They future a rugged steel wiring covered with case hardened steel rollers for traction. Theyre easy to install and comply with all DOT specifications. To begin the installation well need to lay the chains out on the ground and make sure we get any tangles or knots out of the chains themselves. Today we will be test fitting the Thule XG 12 snow tire chains, part number TH2004705265 on 265/60-18 tires on a 2007 Toyota 4 Runner. We will be test fitting the tire chains on the rear of the vehicle, see your owners manual for exact specifications. Before we begin our test fit lay the tire chain flat on the ground with the yellow one to the cable on the right. Undo any tangles or kinks, slide the tire chain underneath the vehicle, and bring the blue cable up on the inner side of the tire, and connect the ends. Then secure the two red hooks towards the top of the tire, slide the silver cable through the red retching device, and secure with the elastic tensioner. Now drive the vehicle a little bit forward to get rid of any excess slack, make sure to check your tire chains after driving a bit forward. more

Today on our 2012 Toyota 4Runner with tire size P265-70 R17, we'll be installing the Glacier V-Bar Snow Tire Chains with Cam Tighteners for Light Truck, part number PWH2828SC. Now this specially designed V-link style provide extra grip for superior traction in snow and ice. This creates a chain rugged enough to be used for either everyday or off-road applications. Now to begin our installation, we'll remove the chain and lay it out on the ground and remove any kinks or nuts in the chain itself. We'll then take our chains and drag them over the tire, making sure that the cam tighteners are on the outside of the tire. With our chains draped over and centered on the tire tread, we'll move to the inside of the tire where we'll connect the two ends of our side chain together, taking up as much of the slack in the chain as possible. more
