Yakima Roof Rack Review - 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek

Today on our 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek we're going to be test fitting the Yakima Roof Rack System consisting of part numbers Y00425, those are the jet stream cross bars, and part number Y00147, and those are the TimberLine towers for Yakima crossbars with factory raised side rails. Now we already have the front one installed. As you can see, the bars themselves have a nice aerodynamic shape to them, and that's going to cut down wind noise and drag while you're driving. Also, the 2 bars combined have a carrying capacity of 165 pounds, although you want to double check with your vehicle to make sure your vehicle can withstand that kind of weight on it's roof. Now since we have the front one installed let's go ahead and show you how the rear one goes into place. We already have it partially assembled on our table here. We'll kind of fill in the blanks for you. more
