Yakima RocketBox Pro 11 Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2014 Ford Escape- Video

Today on our 2014 Ford Escape we're going to be test fitting the Yakima Rocketbox Pro 11, a rooftop cargo box with 11 cubic feet of storage space in black. It's part number Y07193. With our Yakima rail grab roof rack system already installed on the Escape, we're going to begin our test fit by placing our Rocketbox directly onto our crossbars. We're going to slide it back, and while we do this we'll make sure that all 4 lower halves of our clamps go around the underside of our crossbars. We'll then open the passenger side of the box. We will reach inside and tighten the 2 red T-handles located closest to us. One of the great features of the Rocketbox Pro 11 is its ability to open from the passenger and the driver side. more

Thule Force Medium Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2012 Ford Escape- Video

Today on our 2012 Ford Escape, we will be testing fitting the Thule Force Medium Rooftop Cargo Box with 13 cubic feet of space, part number TH624, with the Thule Rapid Crossroads Rack System already in place. We'll start our test fit by placing the cargo box on top of our roof rack. For this application, we find it easiest to keep it at an angle and set our feet in place. We will also make sure that the box is as far forward as possible for the best access to our rear hatch. Next, we'll open up our box, tighten down the hand knob to secure the feet in place. One of the great features of the Thule Force is that you can access it from both sides. As you can see here, there's plenty of room to open the rear hatch. That will complete todays test fit of the Thule Force, part number TH624 on our 2012 Ford Escape. more

Thule Force Medium Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2014 Ford Escape- Video

Today on our 2014 Ford Escape, we'll be test fitting the Thule Force Medium Rooftop Cargo Box, measuring 13 cubic feet in AeroSkin Black, part number TH624. With the Thule rapid-traversed roof rack system on our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing our box directly onto our load bars. Now with the feet hanging out of the bottom of the box, we can adjust them as necessary to fit around each bar. Once we have the box situated the way we like, we'll move the key to the unlock position and push up on the lid to open the passenger side of the box. We'll use the two hand-knobs on this side of the box to tighten our two feet around our load bars. One of the great features of the Thule Force is it's ability to open from either side of the box. We'll move to the driver's side, open the box, and tighten down the two remaining feet using the hand-knobs. With all four feet tight, our box is secured and we're ready to go. Here at the rear, you can see that we have plenty of room between the back of our box and our antenna, which is also going to allow us to have full access to our rear hatch door. Thule Force Medium Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2010 Ford Escape- Video

Today on our 2010 Ford Escape, we'll be test fitting the Thule Force medium rooftop cargo box, in AeroSkin black, part number TH624. We'll begin our test fit by placing the cargo box onto the vehicle's crossbars, and position each clamp to fit over each bar. We'll then unlock the bock and open the lid, exposing the two closest knobs. We'll turn the knobs to bring the clamps up around tightly against each bar. We can then move to the other side of the vehicle and repeat the same steps. Now this double-sided opening lid also enables you to easily load and unload your cargo from either side of the vehicle. more
