So this is gonna be a good option for your roof, that way you can carry more stuff, either you can get stuff out of your vehicle, making more leg room for everybody, or if you already have your car loaded up, your Subaru's loaded, you wanna get even more stuff up on the roof, you can do that. It's a good option, just because if you have the open design here on the outside, plenty of room to run those straps and tie down your cargo. It's open up on the back side too. It's got the wind visor, wind deflector on the front that you can't remove. more

Rhino Rack Roof Basket Review - 2019 Subaru Outback Wagon

Today, on our 2019 Subaru Outback wagon, gonna take a look at the Rhino-Rack roof mounted cargo basket. Now, we have the basket installed on the Subaru's roof here to give you a nice idea of how it would look. As you can see, it's made from a nice steel construction that's been powder coated black to help protect it out of the elements. It has a nice, unique look. Also, on the front of the basket features a nice fairing here, and that helps cut down wind noise, and drag.Now, this is a clay-upon 00:00:44 style basket, which as you can see, it works nicely with the Subaru's factory roof rack system, and should work with just about any after market or factory roof rack system. Now, it does come with all the brackets, hardware, and tools needed to install it, so if you're going to be removing, or installing the rack regularly it might take you a few extra minutes over some of the other models available.Now, the basket itself is 47 inches long, 35 inches wide, and about 5 1/2 inches deep. more

Okay, today on our 2013 Subaru Outback wagon, we're going to be taking a look at the Curt Roof Mounted Cargo Basket. We got the basket installed on the Subaru's roof here, to give you a nice idea how it would look. This particular basket uses a clamp-on style mounting system. It's very easy to use. As you can see, it works great with our Subaru's factory refract system, and it should work with many other aftermarket and factory roof rack systems as well.Now, the way it works, there's four clamps, just simple thumb knobs here. You can tighten those down to secure it to the rack. more

Speaker 1: Today, on our 2017 Subaru Outback Wagon, we're gonna be doing a test fit on the Yakima OffGrid Rooftop Cargo Basket, part number Y07138. Now, this roof basket mounts to the rooftop of your vehicle. It's gonna allow you to carry any cargo that you can't fit inside your vehicle on top of your roof safely. Now, keep in mind, this is an open-basket design, so any materials you might have that are sensitive to rain, heat, or cold, you might wanna try to keep those inside and keep other stuff up on top of the basket.You have 44" of length to the basket, while it's 40" wide. You can purchase an extension that inserts right here, to take the length from 44" to 62", giving you a lot more space to carry cargo. We have a fairing on the front that's gonna help cut down on wind noise and drag while we're traveling at high speeds. more

Today on our 2017 Subaru Outback wagon, we're doing a test fit of the Yakima LoadWarrior roof rack cargo basket with extension kit. That part number is Y07070-74. Now, this has a 196-pound weight capacity, though you do want to check your vehicle's owner's manual to make sure it can withstand that much weight, and the dimensions are 62 inches long by 39 inches wide by six and a half inches tall. This can be used with many different accessories that we do have available on our site. You'll see the removable middle bar there. That can actually be used with bike racks so that you can secure your bike racks to your basket and still carry some gear. Now, we already have three of our four mounts secured down. more

Today, on our 2016 Subaru Outback Wagon, we're going to be doing a test-fit of the Thule Canyon Rooftop Mounted Cargo Basket, part number, TH859. Now this basket is going to measure 49 inches long, by 40 inches wide. At it's highest point, it's going to have a height of about 6 inches. With it's sturdy steel construction, it's going to offer a 150 pound weight capacity. We have 3 feet installed, so you can see what it's going to look like once it's up on the vehicle, but we'll show you how to install that final one. Keep in mind that you're going to have to measure your crossbar spread, so the distance from the center of this crossbar, to the center of your other crossbar, from the factory, or whatever crossbar system you have, before you get them up on the vehicle you've got to adjust your feet to fit into place. more

Today on our 2012 Subaru Outback, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Sportrack Vista, roof mounted cargo basket. Now, this rack, its part number is going to be SR9035. It's going to be a steel construction with 110 pound weight capacity. It's going to be 44 inches long, by 39 1/8 wide. It's also going to be 6 inches deep. As you can see, we have it installed on our factory and stock roof rails. Now, with this roof rail system, we did need to put one of the pads under there. more

Thule  Roof Cargo Carrier Review - 2013 Subaru Outback Wagon

Today on our 2013 Subaru Outback, we're going to be test fitting the Thule MOAB. This is the mother of all baskets. This is a roof mounted cargo basket, it's part number is TH690XT. Now that we've already got the factory roof rack set up on the vehicle, so we're going to begin our test fit by placing our basket right up onto the cross bars. We want the upper portions of our clamp to be sitting on top of the cross bars. We've already removed the lower portions of our clamp and both wing nuts. With our basket sitting nice and square, we'll take one of the lower portions of our clamp, we're going to place two of the carriage bolts down into it, bring it around the underside of our cross bar and then rotate it up, so those carriage bolts will come through the top of the clamp. We'll then take two wing nuts, we'll thread one on here at the rear and one here at the front. more

Today on our 2014 Subaru Outback, we're going to be testing the Thule MOAB or the Mother Of All Baskets. This is a rooftop cargo carrier. It's designed to mount on tractor your aftermarket cross rails. Its part number is TH690XT. Now I've already removed 1 carriage bolt and wing nut from 3 of our clamps and we'll remove the fourth one here so you can what I'm talking about. Basically we just unthread the wing nut and push the carriage bolt right out of the bottom. Now it's a good idea to remove the same side on all 4 of our clamps. more
