Lets Go Aero Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we have the Lets Go Aero GearDeck 17 Enclosed Cargo Carrier. This is gonna be a hitch mounted cargo box and we'll take a look at how it fits our 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee. So right off the bat, if you need more cargo space, you want make sure that your cargo is covered and protected, this is gonna be one of the ways you can do that. Now, some of the features here is that instead of tilting away for more access to your hatch, this one actually slides out. So there's a pin here at the end where you just rotate that pin in order to release the slide out arms. It's an anti-rattle bolt, so it will also take a little bit of time before we come out, but once it does, I just hold the box by its handle, lift out and wait. more

Today on our 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee we're doing a test fit of the MaxxTow 30 by 50 wheelchair carrier with 48"-long ramp. That part number is MT70106. This has a 500 pound weight capacity and is designed to work with 2" hitches. The first thing we're going to start with is showing a couple of the different features and positions we can put our carrier into. This first position's going to be our loading position. You're going to be able to put whatever you need on your wheelchair carrier, whether that's a wheelchair, scooter, or a lawnmower, any other type of equipment like that. One great thing about this position is that before you load up your gear, if you need to, we do gain full access into our back hatch area to get anything in or out that we may need. more

Today on our 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're test fit of the Stromberg Carlson 23 by 60 cargo carrier. That partner is C-C dash one zero zero. This is designed to work with two inch hitches only, it has a weight capacity of 500 pounds. I'll note while it does have a pretty high weight capacity, it is lightweight so it's easy to insert and take out of your hitch. The first thing we want to do is take a few measurements here. The bottom of our bolt, we're going to have about 11 inches. Overall to our vehicle, we're adding about 28 and a half inches, and our closest point is going to be about four and three quarter inches away. Now on our Grand Cherokee, we do have a single passenger side exhaust. more

Today on our 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee we're doing a test fit of the CURT 20 by 48 cargo carrier. That part number is C18110. Now this is designed to work with both 1-1/4" and 2" hitches and has a 300 pound weight capacity. Although it does have a weight capacity, it is very lightweight so it's easy to insert and take out of your hitch. First thing we're going to do is take a few measurements here. Starting off with our ground clearance, we're going to have about 17-3/4". Now that is because we have a raised shank in back which is going to lift our carrier even higher than our hitch. more

This should take care of all of our transportation needs, as long as it fits within that 30 by 50 area. Today, on our 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're test fitting the Curt 20 by 60 Folding Cargo Carrier. This cargo carrier will carry up to 500 pounds and it's been designed for use in 2 inch hitches. Part number on it is C18151. You'll see the raised rail all the way around the outside, gives us good front-to-back and side-to-side stability for our gear once loaded up. It's going to be about 5 1/2 inches high. You'll see here, it gives us a lot of nice connection points all the way around there so we can get that gear strapped down securely. The floor of the carrier is going to be a smaller size expanded steel and it'll have areas for moisture, dirt and stuff like that to fall down and through, but it's not so large of an opening that we'll have to worry about smaller stuff. The back side of our carrier, we're going to have about 15 3/4 of an inch worth of ground clearance. more

Today, on our 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we've got out the MaxxTow 30x50 Wheelchair and Scooter Carrier, which has the 48 inch ramp, the part number on it is MT70106. This has a 500 pound capacity, and it's been designed for use in two inch hitches. You see our ramp, good angle on it, it's a nice, sturdy ramp. We're also going to have that large, expanded steel, so even if we've got some dirt and grit on the tires, whether we're hauling our lawnmower, power scooters, wheelchairs, whatever the case may be, any dirt or debris is going to fall right down and out. Also going to have the raised edge all the way around the outside. It's going to be about five inches high, going to to give us good stability, front and back and side to side. You can see there's also a lot of nice large connection points here for our straps or bungees, whatever we're going to be securing the gear with. more

Today on our 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we've got out the Strongbird Carlson 23x60 Cargo Carrier. We're doing a test fit on it just to see how it fits up against the rear of the car. This cargo carrier is designed for use with up to 500 pounds and also on 2 inch hitches. The part number on it is CC-100. I really like this carrier for couple reasons. I like the really large expanded steel on the floor. A lot of dirt and debris is and stuff like that is something I deal with, so that's going to pass down through there without any issue, even some of the bigger rocks. The raised rail is nice. more

Today on our 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we've got out the Curt 20 by 60 cargo carrier and we're test fitting it. Now this cargo carrier is designed to carry up to 500 pounds and for use with 2 inch hitches. Part number on it is C18150. Now the carrier is going to have the kind of you'd consider kind of the medium size expanded steel, it's going to give us good surface area for items to rest on but any moisture, dirt, and debris should fall right down and out of there. We'll also going to have a raised edge that goes all the way around the outside and it's about 5 1/2 inches tall and once our gear is in there, it's going to keep it from moving around too much front to back or side to side. It also gives us some good connection points around here for our straps and we've got a few reflectors back here on each side just to help with visibility. Now the Curt has a rise in the shank that lends to really good ground clearance here in the back. more

Our ground clearance here to the bottom of this bolt is going to be about 10 1/2 inches there. Overall, to the back of the vehicle, we're adding about 28 inches, and our closest point is going to be about 4 1/2 inches away there. Now with our Grand Cherokee, we have dual exhaust. It comes just about straight out on either side, and it's about 8 1/2 inches away, so just be aware if you want to carry any heat-sensitive materials to avoid this region and the same region on the other side. Next thing we'll check is our hatch clearance. more

Today on our 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're taking a look at the SportRack Vista. This is a 20x60 cargo carrier designed for use with up to five hundred pounds and with two inch hitches. Part Number on it is SR9849. The SportRack Vista is a nice secure sturdy cargo carrier as opposed to the cargo carriers that are often secured with just the pin and clip. This one uses an anti-rattle bolt and you can see even with a hundred pounds that we've got it loaded down with today, as you're heading down the road, it's going to be nice and steady. SportRack Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Today on our 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're going to be doing a test fit of the SportRack vista cargo carrier. This is going to be your 20 inch wide by 60 inch long cargo carrier that's going to have that nice expanded metal base for easy clean-ability and a sturdy steal construction that's going to offer that 500 pound weight capacity. It's also going to come with the folding shank, as well, to tuck up nicely against the back of the vehicle, and the two inch shank that attached to our two inch receiver via an anti-rattle bolt down here. Let's go ahead and go over a few things, starting with our measurements. This is going to be part number SR9851. Our closest distance will be from the bracket here to the back side of the bumper, at about 9 and 3/4 inches. Overall distance that we've added to the vehicle, it's going to be about 37 and 7/8ths inches with a rear ground clearance of about 17 1/4 inches. more

MaxxTow Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee MT70275- Video
Today on our 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee we're going to be doing a test fit of the 27" by 47" MaxxTow Cargo Carrier. This is going to have that 60" aluminum pivoting ramp that's going to come out and away from the vehicle. It's going to offer a 500 pound weight capacity. It's also going to come with your 2" shank for your 2" receivers only and attach using a hitch pin and clip as well as an anti-tilt device that you see here with two 5/8" bolts underneath that secure it and keep the anti rattle to a minimum. Today on our 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Detail K2 Cargo Carrier. This cargo carrier is going to be 20 inches wide by 60 inches long, have a 2-inch shank for your 2-inch receivers only and a nice folding shank as well and platform that's going to fold up nicely against the back side of your vehicle. This is going to be for your Hollywood Racks SE and SE2 bike racks, but it can also be a stand-alone cargo carrier. Curt 24x60 Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Today on our 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee we're going to be doing a test fit of the CURT cargo carrier, part number C18153. This is going to be your 24" wide by 60" cargo carrier with a sturdy steel construction and a 500 pound weight capacity. It's going to have that nice expanded metal base for easy cleanability, as well as that nice folding shank that's going to stow it up and against the vehicle for a nice flush, clean look when you're not having it in use. It will also have that 2" shank for your 2" receiver, connected with a hitch pin and clip. Now the hitch pin and clip is not going to be included, but if you'd like to obtain one, you can get it on our website at part number PC3. Let's start off by getting a few measurements. SportRack Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Today on our 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee we're going to be doing a test fit of the Sport Rack Vista cargo carrier. This cargo carrier is going to measure 20" wide by 60" long, be of steel construction, and have a 500 pound weight capacity. You can see that it's going to have that 2" shank for your 2" receivers only, and it's going to be part number SR9849. Let's go ahead and get it fitted onto the back of our vehicle into our 2" receiver. Simply slide your shank into your receiver and then we'll line up those pinholes. Once you have it lined up, slide in that anti-rattle bolt and thread it in as far as you can by hand. Once you have it threaded in as far as you can by hand, take that 3/4" socket and tighten it down the rest of the way. more

Today on our 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we are going to be doing a test fit on a Curt 19x60 Folding Cargo Carrier. Now this is designed for use with two inch hitches and it has a nice aluminum construction. Even with the aluminum construction it does still rate it out to a 500 pound weight capacity though. Part number on it is C18100. To begin the test fit we'll slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch. We'll line up our pin hole here with our hitch pin hole. Now this is one of the lighter cargo carriers that we offer because of it's aluminum construction, if weight is going to be an issue of getting it loading and unloading this maybe a really good choice for you. more

Today on our 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we are going to be a doing test fit on a Rola Dart. This is a 23x56 folding cargo carrier. It's been designed for use in two inch hitches and it's going to offer us a 450 pound weight capacity. Part number on it 59550. To begin our test fit, we're going to slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch. We'll then line up our threaded hitch pin hole with our or our threaded hole rather with our hitch pin hole. We'll then take our standard or our provided rather threaded bolt, we're going to place this through and thread it on there. more
