Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at how the Swagman E-Spec fits on the 2021 Toyota Highlander. So this is gonna be the updated design for the Swagman E-Spec where you have a higher weight capacity of 80 pounds per bike and you have the ability to use this with the ramp and bridge add-on sold separately. In the case of the Toyota Highlander, because of how high this sits, I actually recommend taking a look at that add-on for your extra heavy electric bikes. So let's talk about things like that. When you look at bike racks, you wanna consider if this gives you access to your hatch, things like that. In the case of the E-Spec, it's a lot more fixed compared to your other bike racks. more

So the Tire Hold HD is gonna be your dual wheel mount rack, which means that there's zero frame contact. Plus, something unique to this is its extra high weight capacity of 80 pounds for your bikes. Now, for your total, try not to go over 150 pounds, and then have your heaviest bike towards your Highlander. Now, when focusing on the Highlander though, there are some different things when it comes to the fit, like how this does not tilt down far enough in order to open up your hatch, and depending on your hitch receiver, you may or may not be able to use the anti-rattle bolt. more

Now, this is gonna be a great choice if you go riding with a bunch of friends and need to haul those heavier like e-bikes, since it can haul four bikes up to 50 pounds each. Another thing to note is we're gonna have three tight on points. We're gonna have one on each tire using this hook and loop strap and then one at the top of the frame here using just this hook. Hey, everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today, we have the RockyMounts MonoRail 2-Bike Platform Rack. We'll take a look at how this fits our 2023 Toyota Highlander. So for this bike rack, it is really popular, because of its versatility where you get the premium features like tilt away and the 60 pound per bike weight capacity at a slightly more affordable price than the other premium bike racks. It's still a solid bike rack though, and I recommend it almost every single time. With the Highlander, there are some things to consider, like the Highlander's hitch does sit a little bit higher up, so you are having to lift your bikes a bit more to get them onto the rack. Another feature of the MonoRail is the tilt away. more

So the Kuat NV is really popular as a premium bike rack with premium features, if you want almost the best of the best, this is what you would go with. Now, it does have some downsides like its premium price as well as it is a hefty bike rack, so we'll talk about that, but we're gonna focus on our Highlander. The first feature this has is it tilts away. There's an easy to access lever in the center of the rack, we're gonna pull that lever, and then just let the bike rack drop down to a tilt. So if you're familiar with the Swagman XC2 that's really popular because it's affordable, it's lightweight, it's compact. This takes those features, but it now adds the tilt to it. So there's pros and cons to it. The main pro is its affordability. Now the downside is you're gonna have to go through a little bit of extra work to get your bike on there and it can't carry every single bike. more

Hi, everyone. Aiden here with etrailer.com, and today we're gonna be taking a look at the Kuat Transfer V2 Platform Style Bike Rack here on our 2018 Toyota Highlander. Now, this bike rack can hold two bikes, and it's gonna hold it at the pivoting wheel cradle at the back here, and at this wheel hook on the front, which means zero frame contact. That's gonna make it good for our carbon frame bikes, our alternative frame bikes, and with a 40 pound capacity, you're not gonna want to work with any sort of e-bikes probably, so just watch out for that. Now, this does have the option to tilt away with the bikes loaded and to do that, I'm actually gonna pull this other arm up just to give me easy access to the foot pedal here. I like that these two clamps operate independently of each other. So if we have to set them at the exact same height, we can because they're completely independent, they can go up, down, rotate 360 degrees and adjust to fit your bikes. more

However, with the 37 a half pound weight capacity we are going to get most of our standard and mountain bikes up on here with no trouble. more

What's up everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com Today, we're gonna be checking out the Kuat NV 2.0 on our 2020 Toyota Highlander. It's gonna be a platform-style bike rack, that way you can carry up to two bikes with you wherever you're going to ride. What's nice about this one is it has got the wheel hook so it's gonna hold it by the wheel. We have a carbon-frame bike on here today, and it's nice and holds by the wheel that way there's no frame contact, so we don't have to worry about it getting scratched up or ruined or dented from a hook coming down right on it or it hanging by the frame. So, it's gonna be good for road bikes, mountain bikes, and even fat-tire bikes. The cradles down here are wide enough to accept those, as well as the straps over here that hold the wheels in. more

Now, what that means is you're gonna be able to carry a lot of different styles of bike because there's no frame contact here. So, our carbon frame bikes are gonna be good to go with this bike rack, as well as some of your e-bikes, sometimes those have alternative frames, or women's bikes, those will be good too because again, we're not relying on this top tube for any sort of securing this down to the bike rack. Now, I really like this too because the Kuat Transfer is super easy to use. more

So, if you're looking for a bike rack to get those heavy bikes to and from your destination, the E-SPEC is gonna have 70 pounds per bikes so it's gonna be great for those electric bikes like you see here. It's not gonna be great for your fat tire bikes as we do have a limitation on wheel width. So, this is only going to accept up to three inches entire width and we are gonna have about 48 inches in wheelbase and what makes it possible is the cradles. more

Inno Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 Toyota Highlander- Video
Hi everyone, it's Aiden here with etrailer.com, and today we're gonna be taking a look at the Inno tire hold two-bike rack on our 2019 Toyota Highlander. Now that's gonna be a platform-style bike rack that holds your bike by the tires here. And the reason that's a great thing is because it's gonna accommodate a ton of different styles of bikes, from your carbon-frame bikes to alternative frame bikes. You don't have any sort of frame contacts. You don't have to worry about a hook coming down and not fitting over your top tube or having a carbon-frame bike that's a little bit more fragile. You don't want to damage that frame. more

Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 Toyota Highlander- Video
Adam: Hi, everyone. Adam with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks TRS 2 platform style bike rack on our 2019 Toyota Highlander. This one is going to be for e-bikes, so it is going to be able to hold about 65 pounds per bike. One of the nice thing about this, yes, it can fit the heavier bikes on it, but we can tilt it away with the bikes installed.All we really need to do is just come down here .. and do your best to kind of prop it up a little bit while we undo this pin here. more

Adam: Hi everyone, Adam with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Destination 2 Bike Rack on our 2019 Toyota Highlander. So this is going to be a platform style rack, it's going to get two bikes to and from your destination. And one of the main things about this one that I noticed right off the bat is that it doesn't tilt, so you won't have that feature. But, it is going to have a significant rise to its shanks so we're going to have a lot of ground clearance. So for those maybe off-road applications it might be something for you. more

So this is going to be the black version of the two bike rack version, but we actually will have a four bike rack version as well. So you can either buy the four bike rack version at the start or you can just buy the two and you can actually just add extensions on the end of it. So you do it however you guys want. more

Saris Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 Toyota Highlander sa774- Video
Adam: Hi everyone. Adam with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Saris Glide EX 5 hanging style bike rack on our 2019 Toyota Highlander. So this is the five- bike rack version but we do have a four-bike rack version, it's going to be around the same length here but just a little bit more space in between each of our bike mounts.Those also are going to come in three different colors, we're going to have black as you see here, bronze and blue. So if you have a blue car, bronze car, whatever, you'd just like to have a little bit of color in your hitch, you can go ahead and pick one of those up at etrailer. We carry them all here. more

So this is going to be a bike rack that we'll be able to hold up to 60 pounds per bike. And we are going to have wheel cradles that will hold tires up to about four and a half inches wide as well. So with that weight and the tire with, we will be able to get some of our electric bikes on here as well. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 Toyota Highlander S64678- Video

Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Swagman Current Bike Rack on our 2019 Toyota Highlander.This Current is going to be made for some of your e-bikes. We're going to be able to hold about 60 pounds per bike. We do have massive wheel wells here, about five inches of tire width that we can hold up to. So if you even have one of those fat tire bikes as well, they're going to be able to fit on here too.And the nice thing about this bike rack is we can actually tilt it with our bikes installed, which is awesome. There's a little lever right here, and all we really need to do is just kind of pull up on that and that's going to access our tilting feature to allow access to our back hatch. more

RockyMounts Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 Toyota Highlander rky10003- Video
Adam: Hi everyone, Adam with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the RockyMounts MonoRail Solo Bike Rack on our 2019 Toyota Highlander. This one right here is the Solo, so we're only going to be able to carry one bike to and from our destination, but we can actually grab an extension, and that's going to allow us to have two bikes on there. Also, we actually do have a two bike version that comes with a two inch shank. Unlike the one we have here, it's going to be both, but that one, two inch shank version of the two bike version of this bike rack, we can actually add another one onto that, so there is some options here. If you like the MonoRail, we're going to be able to get either just the one, or two, or even get the three bike rack version for this. more
