So the super clamp EX is pretty popular because of its simplistic design, where you have two frame mounts here or wheel mounts. And because they are wheel mounts, no matter what kind of frame you have, whether it's carbon fiber frame, step through frames, or even a mountain bike like this, you don't have to get a frame adapter bar. Also, for some bikes with fenders, this can work out too. Now it has its pros and it has its cons as well. more

Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we'll be taking a look at how the Rhino-Rack two-bike hanging rack fits on a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee. So this is a hanging rack that is ideal if you want something that's more compact. Doesn't take up much space. Since this has the ability to carry around two bikes, it's very, very short. So that way if you maybe have a smaller garage, you need to back up into a tight spot, you already have a larger SUV so this helps with that. Now, hanging racks do have their downsides as well when it comes to stability as well as ease of getting into the car. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Hi everybody, welcome to etrailer.com, I'm Bobby and today we're taking a look at the Swagman XC2 Two-Bike Platform Rack here on the back of our 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee. So, this is gonna be a very decent way of just getting your bikes to the trail head. Now, it is not gonna be the best bike rack out there, if you do find yourself having a little bit more of an expensive bike that you wanna really treat nice, this might not be the rack for you. Why I say that It still does an excellent job of just getting our bikes up to that trail head, however, we really only have one point of contact here on our bike. Now, it is solid, as you can see, it's moving here with the XC2, so it's not going anywhere, but all in all, you are seeing a lot of rattle on here, a lot of side to side shift. If you had another bike on here, it might start rubbing up on it and again, that one point of contact can be an issue for some people out there. more

Now guys, this is gonna be an awesome excellent stylish way of getting your bikes to your destination. Not only that though, it's still gonna give you a great capacity rating about 40 pounds per bike. You can see not the biggest platform rack out there either especially if you're comparing it to something like the Kuat NV 2.0, which is gonna get you, yes, that 60 pound weight capacity, but it is gonna be quite larger even especially to the side. So I like this guy, kinda how low profile it is, not to get too much room here in the back of our Jeep and of course got that nice copper accents throughout it. However, it does come in multiple colors does come in gunmetal gray, as you can see and the pearl as well. more

Now, guys is gonna be a very nice way of giving your big old, heavy e-bikes up onto your back of your vehicle and getting to where you want to go. The Swagman current has been specifically designed for your big old heavy e-bikes up on here. You're gonna see a lot of that lime green, electric green going throughout this entirety of this rack. And I do kind of like it, it does match up quite nicely with our bike here today. However, it's gonna be very nice, especially when you start getting into dusk and it starts getting a little harder to see those right contact points, make it really easy to start manipulating our rack and giving our bike up on there with no trouble at all. more

Cool thing about the MonoRail 2, if your family's growing or your love for the hobby's growing and you grab another bike, you can actually add a third bike on the end of this. And there's also a single bike version available on our website too. But if you got a friend, the 2 is gonna have a capacity of 60 pounds per bike. We're gonna have a tire width maximum of five. So, our little cradle here is gonna be great for those fat tire bikes as long as it doesn't exceed 60 pounds. more

Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack Review - 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
What's going on everybody, Adam here with etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Ford Rider SE2 for electric bikes on our 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. If you have an inch and a quarter or a two inch hitch that is a class two or higher, we're going to be able to put the Sport Rider SE2 into the hitch be able to carry two heavy bikes, it's about 80 pounds per bike. So if you have two electric bikes, or two fat tire bikes, it's gonna work for that, we can put it on pretty much anything that doesn't have a hitch in between your vehicle that's driving, and whatever you're putting this on, meaning no fifth wheel trailers, no travel trailers, but we can't put it on a motorhome if you have one of those. One feature I really look for in bike racks is the ability to tilt with the bikes installed, so you don't have to mess with taking all the bikes off just to get into the back hatch. So to do that, we have a little pin down low and it is gonna need to be lifted up a little bit to get that pin out. more

Collin: Hey everyone, Collin here at etrailer. Today we have in here a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee and we're going to do a test fit of the RockyMounts WestSlope 3 bike rack. This is a platform style rack that is going to allow you to haul up to three bikes to and from your destination.Now, what I really like about this bike rack, and this is pretty noticeable at the start, it sits very high compared to a lot of other platform racks, and that's thanks to the tiered loading system. So you can see as our first bike sits right here, the next set of quails sits about two to three inches higher and that's going to be the same thing for the top one. That's going to help for spacing of the bikes, to make sure the handlebars or pedals don't make contact with each other. And that's also going to help improve your ground clearance by a lot. more

Now essentially this is going to be a rack designed for suspension bikes and it's going to really take care of a lot of the problems we used to have with the platform style racks. Essentially by being able to hang our bikes here in index, you can see we've got four positions, it gives us plenty of ground clearance if we get onto rougher roads. A platform rack holding four big bikes would generally be out here and it'd be closer down to the ground.It has a couple of different positions. You can see right now we're in the middle position as far as being tilted back, and we're at the middle height level. more

Colin: Hey guys, Colin here at etrailer. Today, we have a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and we're going to do a test fit of the Saris SuperClamp EX two bike platform rack and cargo carrier. Now, this is a pretty unique setup. We're going to have a two bike platform rack on the back of our rack. While on the front, we have a cargo carrier, and that's going to be able to haul any excess equipment on the outside of our vehicle, if you've got bike equipment you don't want on the inside, muddy equipment from the end of the day or even coolers, stuff like that.Now, as far as the cargo carrier, if we look at inside dimensions on it, we're going to have 42 and a quarter inches on the inside rails. There's a slight rise right there, so you will have to make sure that it gets on lower on the inside of those rails when you're stacking cargo. more

Today, we have a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee and we're gonna be test fitting the Kuat 2.0 two bike platform rack, which is part number NV22B. This bike rack is very high quality. It's gonna allow you to transport up to two bikes to your destination.It's gonna securely hold your bikes with no frame contact. You can see, it doesn't grip the frame at all, so you don't have to worry about any type of scratches or abrasions. Its two points of contact are gonna be up here on this wheel hook, putting downward force on top of our front wheel, forcing it down into the cradle.Then, on the back we're gonna have this strap that's pulling down on the back wheel, forcing it down onto this platform. One feature I want to point out next is just like a lot of other platform racks. more

I've already got it loaded on the Grand Cherokee with the bike loaded up as well, just to give you a good idea of what it looks like and how it's gonna hold our bikes.Now, this bike rack holds our bikes by their top tube. That rubber coated hook goes over that top tube, puts down pressure on the bike, into the cradles. Not a bad way to transport your bikes. more

Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee HR1450Z- Video
Today, on our 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're gonna be doing a test fit on the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE2 Platform Style 2-Bike Rack, parts number HR1450Z.So I've already got it loaded up, just to give you a good idea what it looks like, and how it's gonna hold our bikes. Now right away, this bike rack can work with two different add-ons, and what I mean by that is you can actually pick up a cargo carrier that plugs in the back of it. That way you can carry two bikes, and some cargo in the back, as well. Or, you can pick up a two bike extension, allowing you to carry two more bikes, so a total of four bikes. Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee NV22B-NA22B- Video
Today we have a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and we're gonna be doing a test fit on the Kuat NV 2.0 4-Bike Platform Rack. Which is part number NV22B-NA22B.It's a very high quality endurable bike rack, it's gonna hold your bikes very well, and it's gonna hold up to the elements as well. The black power coat finish is gonna hold up the rust and corrosion, along with the aluminum construction. It can carry up to four bikes, each weighing up to 60 lbs, so it's gonna be able to accommodate even if you have an electric bike, or even a fat tire bike.It holds your bike in two different spots. We have a strap on the back wheel right here, you can see the wheel, it's just sitting on the platform, and the strap secures it. On the front, we have the front wheel sitting inside the wheel tray right here, and the hook putting downward forward on top of the wheel, forcing it down into the tray.Another great feature, is that we can tilt this away from the vehicle, to give us access to the trunk. more

Today on our 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're going to be doing a test fit on the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE 4-Bike Rack for Fat Bikes. That's part number HR1400-FB. So, I've already got it loaded up just to give you an idea of what it looks like and how it's going to hold our bikes. Now not only does it hold fat bikes, but it's going to hold your standard bikes as well. So, you're going to get a set of cradles that'll hold both bikes.Right away, one of its best features is it can be tilted away, excuse me, from the vehicle with bikes loaded so it can access that rear hatch. Now how you do that is you remove the snapper pin here and you can kind of lift up on the rear-end of the bike rack to pull that out. more

Today on our 2014 Jeep Gand Cherokee, we're going to be doing a test fit on the Hollywood Racks Trail Rider platform style two bike rack. That's part number HR200Z. I've already got it loaded up just to give you a good idea of what it looks like and how it secures our bikes. It actually secures our bikes by their frame. We've got a rubberized frame hook that goes over that top tube, puts down pressure into those cradles, and then a hook and loop strap keeps our wheels in place. Now, this bike rack doesn't tilt away like most platform style racks, so if you wanted to get into that rear hatch, you'll want to be sure that you arrange your pedals just the right way so we can do that. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're going to be test fitting the Thule T2 Classic 2 bike platform rack, and that's going to be part number TH9044. As you can see we do already have a bike installed, so let's take a look at some of the features.Starting from the outside in, we're going to see we have these nice wheel cradles. Right here, we're going to have the back wheel cradle and it's gonna be able to pivot back and forth to accommodate any length bike you might have with a strap that secures it into the cradle and a nice, rubber protector that's going to help protect the frame of your wheel from any damage from the rubber coating of the strap. Upfront, we're going to have this nice wheel cradle, right here, that can accommodate a lot of different size of tires with bikes.We have this little slot, right here, for our road bikes. We can fit mountain bikes right here, and we can fit fat tire bikes up to five inches in width. If we look at the bike itself, we see that it is secured at two different points of contact. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're gonna be test fitting the Swagman Quad 2+2 2-Bike and 4-Bike Platform Style Rack. That's gonna be part number S64692.As you can see, we already have a bike installed so let's go ahead and take a look at some of the features. If we start out here, I'll show you the wheel cradles before we go over to the bike itself. We can see that they don't pivot back and forth. They are stationary in that aspect. However, if we loosen this bolt right here, we can adjust it side to side on the bike rack to accommodate any length of bike you might have to use for this bike rack.Another really nice feature I want to point out is I said this is a two bike and a four bike platform rack. more

As you can see, we already have a bike installed so we can take a look at some of the features. Now starting out here, we're going to see this little tab right here, and that's going to be for our integrated cable lock system, which comes up from the base of our bike rack. We simply pull it up like so, wrap it around our bikes, and insert it into the slot right there. more
