Thule Hitching Post Pro Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Jeep Cherokee- Video
Hi everyone. Aiden here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Thule Hitching Post Pro on the back of our 2022 Jeep Cherokee. This is a hanging style bike rack, so the bike's gonna be hanging by our frame up top here. We've got straps running over the top, holding it down in these deep cradles, and a third strap around the seat post to limit our side-to-side movement, helping with our bike to bike contact. Saris Freedom Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Jeep Cherokee- Video
Hi everyone. Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Saris Freedom Platform Bike Rack on our 2022 Jeep Cherokee. Now, like I said, this is a platform style bike rack so it's gonna hold the bike in these wheel cradles and by our frame. So we've got this cradle with a strap run around the frame up top, that's gonna be keeping it held upright and then we've got wheels strapped down in each cradle to help hold it down in the cradles. Yakima HoldUp Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2020 Jeep Cherokee- Video
Hi everyone, It's Evangeline here at Etrailer, and today we are looking at the Yakima HoldUp 2-Bike Rack here on our 2020 Jeep Cherokee. Now this is a nice bike rack in terms of it has a really decent weight capacity, It can compact down really small, and it has a good record. It's been around for a while and people still like it for some good reasons. So one of its features is that it can tilt away, and to do so we have a lever right over here that we're gonna slightly lift up on the bike in order to release and pull out that lever, and that creates this tilt away feature. And you'll want to do this if you wanna access your hatch. So notice here on our Cherokee how actually our door kind of comes close to handlebars but it clears allowing us to get into our trunk grab whatever we need, whether it's our water, our bags, our helmets, without having to take our bike off, which is nice and convenient. more

Hey everybody, welcome to etrailer.com. I'm Bobby, and today we're taking a look at the Yakima Back Road 4 Bike Rack Carrier, here on our 2017 Jeep Cherokee. Now if you're looking a way of getting a multitude of bikes to the trailhead, hanging styles are definitely gonna be a great option for yourself. Things to keep in mind though, we are gonna start seeing a lot more sway on our bikes because we're only having these dual arm support system which is gonna do a really good job of making sure our bike isn't tilting side to side but because of our frame mounts and our frame is circular you are gonna get just a little bit of sway as we are go down the road. Now the BackRoad does have a lot of techniques to combat that sway. The biggest one being for me is we are getting seven inch spreads on each of our channel mounts here. more

What's going on, everybody Adam here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Thule T2 Pro on our 2017 Jeep Cherokee. So, if you're looking for a really solid platform-style rack to get two bikes to and fro, this is gonna be a good one. It looks good and it's nice and solid, but we will be able to add on to this, and make it a four-bike rack. Currently, it's about 60 pounds per bike, but if we do have that add-on, it's gonna be about 40 pounds per bike. But as it is right now, we can use our fat tire bikes and e-bikes, because of the weight capacity. more

Hi, everyone it's Evangaline here at etrailer.com and today we are looking at our RockyMounts Monorail two-bike platform style rack here on our 2020 Jeep Cherokee. Now, this is a really good bike rack if you want something that can do everything at a pretty good price, it can carry your heavy bikes, electric bikes, step-through bikes, carbon frame bikes, like what we have here, as well as your fat tire bikes. Now, one of its features is that it can tilt away and to do so, what you're going to do is you are going to pull this lever here at the bottom, this bright blue lever, and then that allows it to tilt down just like that. And you will want to tilt it down if you want to access your hatch. So you can see there's plenty of space between our door and our handlebars on our bike, allowing us to get in there maybe to get our helmets, our water, whatever we need from our trunk without having to take our bike completely off, which is wonderful. So when you want to bring it back into position, you just need to lift up on the bike rack and you can see that lever snaps into place. more

And the other awesome feature about this, it will be able to tilt with both of your e-bikes on it.So what you've got to do to do that, there is a pin and clip down here that you undo first. And you might have to maybe push up on it a little bit to get that pin out a little easier. And then there's going to be this pressure knob right here.So what you are going to do is you hold that out, and it's going to lean down. And this is gonna allow you to access anything in your hatch, whether it be helmets, backpacks, maybe a lunch or two, whatever you need. more

Today, we're going to be taking a look at RockyMounts WestSlope Platform-Style Bike Rack on our 2018 Jeep Cherokee.This is a platform-style rack that's going to have no frame contact. So if that's something you're really wanting in a bike rack, RockyMounts does supply that with the WestSlope. It does have two points of contact. You have this bar up here, which holds that tire down onto the rack, and also a back wheel cradle that has a zip-tie-style strap that secures that back wheel to that cradle.One really cool feature about this, it does enable you to tilt this bike rack with the bikes installed. One thing, though, when you pull this lever right here, there really isn't a great place to hold the actual rack, so I usually try to hold it on this main beam here as this arm does move freely. more

You have a frame mount up top here, and also you have two different wheel cradles down there with straps that go around your wheel. Another really cool feature about this, it is able to tilt away from your vehicle with the bikes installed so you can grab anything out of your hatch. more

Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 Jeep Cherokee HR1450Z- Video
Today, we have a 2019 Jeep Cherokee, and so we're gonna test fit the Hollywood Racks Sportrider SE two bike platform rack.Now this is a great accessory for a Cherokee. I's gonna allow you to haul up to two bikes to and from the trails. Really, one of the coolest features about it is that, if you pop off this little reflector piece right here, which is a nice safety feature so people can see the bike rack before they see your vehicle, if you pull this off, you can see that there's a slot where you can put either a two bike addition onto your two bike rack, or even a cargo carrier.Just see etrailer.com and you'll find those different kits if you want those.Now the next feature I wanna show you is pretty standard among most platform racks, is that it can tilt away to give you access to the trunk. So we're gonna come in here first and pull this pin. It's kinda just a safety pin that's supporting it from the bottom. And then we're gonna pull on this pin right here, just a T-slot pin, and let it tilt away.Now from here, we can go open up our trunk. more

Today, we have a 2019 Jeep Cherokee, and we're gonna test it with the Hollywood Racks Sportrider SE four bike platform rack. Now this is a great hitch mounted accessory you just can put on your Cherokee. It'll allow you to haul up to four bikes to and from the trailers or wherever you wanna take them.Now one of the coolest features about this bike rack is that we could take off this two bike addition if we want to, and convert to it a two bike rack if you wanna just take off that extra length. First, you would loosen this handle back here. That's kind of an anti rattle system. Once you loosen that, you're gonna be able to remove this pin and then just pull out the two bike version, and then you could put the cap on fit and convert it to a two bike rack.Now another cool thing you could do is if you wanted to take that off, you could also use the Hollywood Racks cargo carrier to put on the end. more

Today, on our 2019 Jeep Cherokee, we're gonna test fit the Hollywood Racks Trail Rider Two-Bike Platform Rack. Now, this is going to be a great product for your Cherokee to allow you to haul two bikes to and from your destination, wherever you want to go. It secures your bikes at three different points and it's pretty secure as well. You can see I'm shaking the bike and it's not moving independently from the bike rack.Two of our points of contact are going to be on the wheels. On the back wheel right here, we have this hook and loop strap. We're also going to have the same thing on the front wheel. more
