Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2023 Honda Odyssey- Video
Hi, everyone, Aidan here at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Thule T2 Pro XTR and seeing how it fits on the back of our 2023 Honda Odyssey. This is gonna be a platform-style bike rack capable of carrying up to two bikes, it's gonna hold the bikes by the front tire using this wheel hook. You can see that the wheel hook is on either side and alternating directions, and because it holds the bike by the tire and not the frame, it's gonna be a great option for carbon frame bikes and alternative frame bikes. With a 60 pound weight capacity, excuse me, per bike, it's gonna be able to handle some e-bikes too. And not to mention, out of the box, this is ready to work with fat tire bikes and kids' bikes as well, so really, a wide range, really anything you could imagine. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Honda Odyssey- Video
Hi, everyone. It's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we have the Swagman Skaha 2 bike rack, and we'll take a look at how it fits our 2022 Honda Odyssey. So the Swagman Skaha is a good rack if you have those heavy electric bikes, and with the Odyssey, I recommend getting the separate ramp and bridge attachment. There is a good amount of ground clearance with this vehicle, so it's hard to lift those bikes high up and into the hitch receiver or hitch-mounted bike rack, but the ramp and bridge actually works really well with this rack, and I would recommend checking that out if you have a heavy electric bike, but this also has some other features, like it tilts away and you have a front wheel mount, which makes it easier to load those bikes up. So the first feature we'll take a look at is that tilt away feature. There is this bright green lever here in the back. more

Now, I think the Curt Premium does a lot of things greatly, and the biggest thing for me, it is primarily a family-oriented bike rack. What I mean by that is you can look, we do have these dual arm support systems. Now, normally with these hanging styles, you start running into problems with step-through bikes, women bikes, and especially kiddos' bikes as a lot of times, their horizontal bar actually can't accommodate to the bike rack's needs, so we end up having to buy a bike adapter bar. more

Now this can be a great lightweight option of getting some bikes to the Trailhead. Now, obviously the Sherpa does look pretty good on the back end here. You're getting those nice copper orange accents on the gunmetal gray, but it doesn't stop there. It is gonna be yes, looking good, but also doing a great job of holding your bikes up on here. With a 40 pound capacity per bike, we're gonna have no trouble at all, getting most of our standards to mountain bikes up on this guy. more

Now we've been test fitting some hitch mounted accessories on it, right here we have the Thule T1, one bike platform rack loaded.Now like I said, it's a one bike rack, so you can be able to get one bike loaded so you can carry it to in front of your destination, you'll avoid having to try to put it in your trunk, or try to get on your roof or anything like that. It's nice as this simple. Set it on there, secure it and you're good to go. Nice thing about this bike rack is that there's no frame contact, so we have a wheel mount hook right here securing our front wheel, then we have a strap on our back wheel, this is especially nice for some really nice bikes you might have, like our carbon fiber bike right here. more

Inno Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 Honda Odyssey- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2016 Honda Odyssey, we're going to be test fitting the Inno Aero Light 4 Bike Rack for 1-1/4" and 2" hitches. That's going to be part number: INH640.As you can see, we already have a bike installed, so let's take a look at some of the features.Now, starting from the outside and working our way in, we have this integrative cable locking system. You simply pull it up from the mast of the bike rack, and then whatever bikes you have installed, you just wrap them around and simply insert it into that latch right there.Your bike rack will come with a set of keys, so when you want to remove that cable lock, you simply slide this little tab up, like that, you have the insert for your key to unlock it and unload your bikes.These cradles are adjustable side to side, and back and forth. That's going to help out and accommodate for any type of size frame you might have, or some specific spacing you might want between your bikes.These cradles also have a thick rubber coated surface right here, and that's going to help protect it from any scratches or abrasions during travel.Come here to our bike, and we see it's attached at three different points of contact. On these two cradles right here, we have a strap on the front and a strap on the back. Down here, we have this anti-rattle cradle, with a strap through it.Now what that does, is once that's strapped in, that's going to prevent the bike from swaying at all during travel and prevent it from making contact with other bikes or with the vehicle.If we come up front, we see we have this strap that's connecting the front wheel to the frame of the bike. more

We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's take a closer look and show off some of the features. One of the more prominent features about this bike rack is the fact that it can carry up to two fat bikes on it as well as tilt away from the vehicle with both bikes still attached. Today on our 2016 Honda Odyssey, we're going to be taking a look at the Thule T2 Pro XTB Two-Bike Platform Rack, part number TH9034XT. Now, one of the really nice things about this bike rack is, is that we don't have to remove our bike to get into our back hatch. If you come down here, grab this lever, the bike rack will tilt down. Then from either side of the vehicle, we still have access to get anything in or out that we may need. To put the back back into position, simply come back, lift up on the lever, and you'll hear it lock into place. Now, there's no frame contact on the bike the way it's mounted. You have a wheel hook up here in the front, and you have a strap, a ratcheting strap, back here. more

Today on our 2016 Honda Odyssey we're going to be taking a look at the Kuat Transfer 2-bike platform rack, part number TS02G. Now one of the really nice features of this bike rack is that if you're out and about and you need to get in the back of your cargo area, lift the lever up, step on the foot pedal, and we'll tilt away and we can still have full access to get anything in or out of our cargo area that we may need. Now to put the bike back into position, just lift up and it will lock into place. Now I do want to mention there is no frame contact on the way this is mounted to the bike rack. In the front here we have a wheel hook, and in the back here we have a strap that's going to hold on our wheel. Now to take it off, simply push in on the tab, feed the strap out. Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2013 Honda Odyssey- Video
Today in this 2013 Honda Odyssey, we're going to be testing the Thule Roadway 2 Bike Rack. Part number TH912XTR. As you can see we already have a bike installed on the rack, let's go ahead and take a closer look. Now, how the bike is actually attached to the rack, we're going to have 3 points of contact with the bike's frame: we're going to have two straps up top here, and one strap of. One strap of to the side which is going to access an anti-sway strap, to keep it from going back and forth, hitting the bike rack and possibly the bike in front of it. Let's go and take the bike off and set it aside. Now once you remove the straps it's always a good habit to actually put them back in place because you don't want them flapping around when you're driving, you don't want to loose them while you're driving. Now a fact, once you get into situations in which you're in close court, such as parking garages or parking in general, these arms do fold down but before I do that, I'm going to go ahead and give you some measurements. The first is going to be how much distance is added to the vehicle once the bike rack is installed, and we go ahead and measure from the bumper. So, from this point down, we have about 27 inches. For ground clearance, which is going to be this point right here, it's about 10 1/2 inches, and then the closest point is going to be this gray lever here, that's going to be about 3 inches. Now, as I said earlier, these do fold down, you just go to this gray lash here, lift up, let it fall, and once you hear that click, they're secured in place.
