We're gonna take a look at how it fits our 2022 Honda CR-V Now, the Swagman XC 2 is actually really popular with the CR-V owners because it's gonna be the quickest and most affordable way to get into the platform rack space. So if you have a two inch or inch and a quarter hitch receiver on your CR-V, and you want something that has a bit more stability than a hanging rack but isn't that pricey, that's where the XC 2 comes in handy. So it does a decent job at making sure your bike is steady as you drive around. It's not swinging around, but it also has its downsides like its very limited features. So that comes in so be mindful. more

Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Honda CR-V- Video

Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we have the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE 4 bike platform rack. We're gonna take a look at how it fits our 2022 Honda CR-V. So right off the bat, you're gonna need a hitch receiver on your CR-V, a two inch hitch receiver if you wanna carry this bike rack. This is gonna be a two plus two rack, so you can quickly remove this extension if you wanna convert it back to a two bike rack or add the extension if you wanted to turn it into a four bike platform rack. It is on the heavier side. I would recommend having a friend help you out with installing it. more

Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Honda CR-V- Video

Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we have the Kuat Transfer V2 three-bike platform rack, and we'll take a look at how it fits our 2022 Honda CR-V. So the Transfer is unique because you can carry around multiple bikes, but it still has this open space in the middle to make it easier to load those bikes up. And if you have it folded up against the CR-V, you still have a lot of visibility in the back. So focusing on this bike rack with this car, first, we're going to tilt it away. So if you needed to open up your hatch and grab whatever you needed, what I do is I put the arms up to the side that way it can step into that goal post design, and then it's easier to hit that lever to bring the rack down. Unfortunately though, because the Transfer doesn't tilt down that much, if you did want to open up the hatch fully on the CR-V, we are not able to do so. more

Now, as far as hanging-style bike racks are concerned, the FullTilt is actually one of my personal favorite options, and that's because of all the features they're able to pack inside of it that we're gonna be able to take a look at as the video goes on. But, the first thing we wanna make sure we know is what kind of bikes can we carry. Well, the FullTilt's main point of contact is going to be on our frame, so that means, unfortunately, our carbon frame bikes are not going to be an option for this. If you do have an alternative frame bike, though, and do get a bike adapter bar, we are able to accommodate for those, as well as kids' bikes. more

So, the Kuat Sherpa is a great middle of the road bike rack. I highly recommend it for people that just have a normal bike, and they wanna carry it around quickly and easily. It does have some downsides, like, it doesn't have a super great weight capacity for extra heavy electric bikes, but it does have some fun features, like this tilt away. So, if you pull this lever down here, (rack clicks) and you just let the bike rack drop down to a tilt, you will be able to open up your hatch. more

So for this SuperClamp, it's a versatile bike rack and also very compact. You can carry your heavy electric bikes, but you also fold it up really easily, so it's easy to store, both on your vehicle and in your garage. Here with the CR-V, it does work pretty well with the vehicle, although there are some things I would consider, because it is a bit of a hassle to get your bikes on there. So the RockyMounts AfterParty is very similar to the RockyMounts GuideRail where you have a dual wheel mount bike rack. The thing that's special, though, with the AfterParty is it swings away, and that gives you full access to the back of your vehicle if you want to set up a campsite, open up the hatch, things like that. Now, with the CR-V, I personally would actually recommend just sticking with the RockyMounts GuideRail, and that's just because you can still tilt away both bike racks. So if you don't need that full hatch clearance, you'll still be able to open up your hatch with the bikes rack, bikes on without having to swing the entire bike rack away. more

It's got a weight rating of 66 pounds per bike but this is also rated for use on your fifth wheel flat tow motor home and travel trailers. So if you wanna use it for any of those purposes you can but if you choose to use this off-road that weight rating's gonna drop down to 40 pounds per bike. So be careful of that. more

The Current is designed specifically for e-bikes, so it is a platform-style rack capable of supporting two bikes up to 60 pounds apiece. It's gonna hold onto our bike primarily with the center mast frame clamp here or hook and two additional straps, one on the front, one on the back tire. So it does make contact with your frame, and it does so in a pulling-down fashion. So if you wanna use this with your carbon frame bikes, recommend against that cuz it could potentially damage your frame while it's driving. more

How's it going, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Right now we're gonna be taking a look at the RockyMounts GuideRail hitch bike rack and how it fits on our 2021 Honda CR-V. This is going to be a two-bike platform style rack capable of supporting two bikes up to 60 pounds. It's gonna hold on to our bikes with this dual wheel mount design, so one hoop on the back, one hoop on the front tire, which is nice if you want to accommodate different wheel bases and make sure that your bikes aren't making contact with one another while you're driving. Also, because there's no frame contact, you can get your carbon frame bikes on here, alternative frame bikes, and you can get some e-bikes on here as long as they have less than a three-inch or less tire width. So this does have a lot of cool features and things that we're gonna check out, but the first one is going to be the fact that we do have the ability to tilt away with the bikes loaded up. more

Now the Curt Premium is a hanging style rack which means the bike hangs by the frame. We've got two straps over the frame at the top here keeping it down in the cradles. And the third one on the seat post, the seat post strap is gonna limit that side to side movement. It's still there, but it does help limit it and reduce bike to bike contact or in some cases even bike to vehicle contact. You can see our front tire doesn't really wanna sit still right here so I might consider adding a cam buckle strap from the tire to the frame just to keep it still. more

So what's awesome about this guy, you're definitely gonna get a great weight capacity rating, with 66 pounds it's really starting to set itself ahead of that standard 60 pounds that you're kind of limited to on most of your carrier units. So this is gonna be great for these e-bikes right, because already they're already pushing that 60 pounds. Now we definitely know they're getting up there, they're pushing that 65, and luckily for us, we're gonna have a way of actually starting to transport it safely and effectively. Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2018 Honda CR-V- Video

Colin: Hey guys, it's Colin here at eTrailer. Today we have here a 2018 CRV. We've been test fitting some bike racks.This right here is the Swagman Current. This is a two bike platform rack. As you can see our bike is going to sitting on top, rather than compared to a hanging style rack where it'll just be holding by our top tube right there. You can see with the bike rim we have right here it wouldn't be very ideal to use a hanging style rack, let alone the fact that it's an E-bike.Now with the Swagman Current you can get two bikes loaded. more

Reese Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2018 Honda CR-V- Video

Yakima Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2018 Honda CR-V- Video

This is a platform style rack, like I said, it's going to allow you to get two bikes loaded, so you can haul them to and from your destination. Like most platform racks, you are going to be able to tilt this away from the vehicle. more

Rhino Rack Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2017 Honda CR-V- Video

Adam: Hi, everyone. Adam with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Rhino Rack Two hanging style bike rack on our 2017 Honda CRV. So this is going to be able to hold up to two different bikes with three different tie-down points per bike. We're going to have two here up top and an anti-sway cradle down at the bottom and what that's going to do, it's going to limit that bike to bike contact that you get when you're going down the road. These straps do do a good job of protecting your bike frame when it is on this rack, it's a durable soft rubber coating, and you just got to pull it out like so to get your bike off the rack. more

Yakima Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 Honda CR-V- Video

This is going to be able to hold up to two different bikes with three different tie-down points per bike. It will be able to accommodate for a lot of different wheel sizes as well. Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 Honda CR-V BA22B- Video

Ed: Hi, guys, Ed with etrailer.com. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Kuat NV 2.0 on our 2019 Honda CRV.There's a lot of different features with this bike rack. First one being, there is three different colors to choose from. This is Gun Metal gray, it does come with a Burnt Orange accent. If that's not necessarily your style, we do have flat black and metallic black as well.Another one of the main things with this bike rack is we're going to be able to tilt with the bikes installed. All we really need to do is pull this little lever to activate that tilt feature. more

Reese Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 Honda CR-V- Video

Adam: Hi everyone. Adam with etrailer.com. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Reese 3 Hanging Style Bike Rack on our 2019 Honda CRV. So is this going to be able to hold up to three bikes, and we do have a two-bike fit version available on each trailer.com.So you're going to have two straps up top. It has a hook and loop type strap and it does not have an anti-sway cradle, so you will have a decent amount of movement with your bikes. Especially with this front wheel being as it is nice and free and it moving around. more
