Speaker 1: Today in our 2018 GMC Terrain, we're going to be doing a test fit on the Super Clamp EX 2-Bike Platform Rack, part number SA4025F. Now, we do have a bike installed, so let's get a closer look at some of these features.Like a lot of platform-style racks, this can tilt away from your vehicle to give you access to your trunk. We're just going to pull up on this handle like that, let it tilt away, and as you can see, we can open up our trunk. One of the cool things is that you can see there's a lot of space between the handlebars and the trunk, so you're not going to have to worry about that too much either with whatever bike you choose to put on. So you're able to slide in, get whatever you need, and you can close it up. To tilt it up, just grab ahold of the bike rack and push up until you hear that audible latch.Now we have four different points where our bike is secured to the bike rack. more

Let's get a closer look and show off some of the features. Starting from the outside, we're going to see on the ends of both arms, we do have two bottle openers. The cradles, though they are stationary, have this nice rubber TPE padding, which means that these little notches right there are going to shock the shock absorbers for the frame of your bike while you're traveling. We have three different points where our bike is secured. more

Today in this 2013 GMC Terrain we're going to be test fitting the Thule Vertex 4 Bike Rack, part number TH9029XT. As you can see we already have a bike on the rack. Let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. Now how this bike rack is actually attached to the rack, you're going to have three points of contact with your bike's frame. We're going to have two straps up top here and one strap off to the side here, which is going to act as an anti-sway strap to keep the bike from going back and forth, possibly hitting the bike rack or the bikes in front of it. Also, up at the front here, you'll see that there's a cable lock which will wrap around the bikes and attach up at the front here for added security. Let's go ahead and take the bike off and set it aside for now. more

Today in this 2013 GMC terrain, we're going to be testing in the two wheel road way two bike rack, part number TH912XTR. As you can see we already have a bike on the rack. Let's go and take a closer look and show off some of the features. Now the bike actually attaches two direct we're going to have three points of contact with your bikes frame. We're going to have two straps up at the top here and one off to the side, which is going to service as kind of an anti sway strap to keep it from going back and forth, possibly hitting the bike rack or the bikes in front of it. Let's go ahead and take the bike off and set it aside side. Now when you take the straps off, it's always a good habit to put them back into place primarily so you don't loose them while you're driving. Now in fact, I'm going to go ahead and give you some measurements now. more

As you can see we already have a bike on the rack, let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. Now how the bike attaches to the rack, you're going to have 4 points of contact with your bike's frame. We're going to have 3 straps up at the top here, and one off to the side which is going to serve as an anti-sway strap to keep the bike from going back and forth possibly hitting the bike rack or the bikes in front of it. Let's go ahead and take the bike off and set it aside. When you take the bike off and take the straps off, it's always a good idea to put them back in their place, just so you don't lose them while you're driving. Just be downright naughty 00:01:09. All right, next I'll go ahead and give you some measurements now. The first being how much distance is added to the vehicle once the bike rack is installed. more

I would also like to point out at the front here how the arms narrow as you get closer to the rear of the bike rack, just to accommodate bikes of different sizes. more

Speaker 2: Today on our 2015 GMC Terrain, we're going to be doing a test fit of the SportRack 3 hanging-style 3-bike rack. It's going to come with your inch-and-a-quarter shank and also a two-inch adapter. As you can see the inch-and-a-quarter here, and two-inch here. This is going to be part number SR2403. Let's go ahead and put it into our receiver that we have here today. Line up your pinholes and thread it in as far as you can by hand. This anti-rattle bolt is going to help eliminate a lot of the play, rattle, and wobble that you may have in your bike carrier as you can see here. more

Today on our 2014 GMC Terrain we're going to do a test fit on the Thule Helium Aero. This is a folding and tilting two bike rack. They've designed it for use with either 1 1/4 or 2 inch hitches. The part# is TH9042. This is also available in a three bike configuration as part# Th9043. To install it on our vehicle we'll hold out on the attach pin, slide the rack right into the receiver tube of our hitch, and allow that pin to go into our pin hole. We'll then turn the black knob. more

Today on our 2014 GMC Terrain, we're going to do a test fit on the Swagman Titan. This is a folding and tilting 4 bike rack. They've designed it so you can use it with 1-1/4" or 2" hitches. The part number on it is S63410. To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the rack right into the receiver tube of our hitch. We want to slide it in far enough so that our hitch pin lines up with our receiver tube hitch pin. We'll then take our anti-rattle bolt, we'll thread that in and tighten it down, as you can see. When it's just hand tight, we've got a lot of play and movement in our rack there, so we're going to use our wrench, and we'll finish tightening that down. more

Today on our 2013 GMC Terrain, we're going to be test fitting the Sportrack Super EZ platform-style 2 bike rack for 1 1/4 and 2 inch hitches, part number SR2901LR. To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of our head. We'll line up our pinholes, thread in our anti-rattle bolt and tighten it down with a wrench. We'll then secure it with the provided lock. In this position, we have about 15 inches worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of our vehicle is about 8 1/2 inches away. Overall, we've added about 24 1/2 inches to the length of the Terrain. more

Today on our 2013 GMC Terrain, were going to be test fitting the Thule Hitching Post Pro, a folding and tilting 4 bike rack for 1-1/4 and 2 inch hitches, part number TH934XTR. To begin our test fit, well slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of our hitch. Well line up our pin holes, thread in our anti-rattle bolt and tighten it down with a wrench. In this position, well have about 11-1/4 inches worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of our vehicles about 6-1/2 inches away and overall, weve added about 15-1/2 inches to the length of the Terrain.Pulling the gold pin located at the base of the mast will allow us to tilt it away from our vehicle. As you can see, this gives us great access into the rear hatch. With our mast back in its upright position and the pin reinserted, well now pull the pin at the top of the mast. more

Today on this 2010 GMC Terrain, were going to do test fit of part number Y02433 from Yakima. This is our Holdup 2 Bike Rack. Well go ahead and start our test fit by installing the bike rack into the hitch, well tighten down the anti-rattle bolt and put the safety pin on the other side. Okay, with our bike rack installed, well go ahead and give you some measurements that will give you an idea of clearance between the bicycle rack and the bumper and the ground. The closest point between the rear well and the bumper is going to be 4 inches. Lets go ahead and unfold the bike rack and well give you two more measurements on ground clearance. more

Alright, today on this 2010 GMC Terrain we're going to do a test fit of product number A30901 from SportRack. This is SportRack Easy Hitch Bike Rack. Two quick notes about this bike rack, it does carry two bikes and it can work with 1-1/4 inch receiver hitches both class 1 and class 2. It also works with 2-inch receiver hitch with the included spacer. And we'll start off by using this bicycle rack and a 2-inch receiver with the included spacer to work with it. We'll go ahead and install the anti-rattle bolt and then put the safety clip on the other side. more
