Curt Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2012 GMC Acadia- Video

Today in our 2012 GMC Acadia we're going to be test-fitting the Curt Two Bike Platform Rack for Fat Bikes for 1-1/4" and 2" hitches, part number C18085-FB. We already have a bike installed on the rack, let's take a closer look and show off some of the features. One of the more prominent features about this bike rack is the fact that it can carry up to two fat bikes on the rear as long as the tire size isn't any wider than 4-7/8". Also, it does tilt away from the vehicle with both bikes still attached. To do that, at the base here you're going to see two pins. There's going to be a smaller one here and the larger. Remove the larger pin first like so, then lift up slightly on the rack and release the second. more

Malone Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2012 GMC Acadia- Video

Today, on our 2012 GMC Acadia, we're going to be test fitting the Malone Hanger Three Bike Rack for inch and a quarter and two inch hitches, part number MPG2127. We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's take a closer look and show off some of the features. How the bike is held into place, we're going to have two points of contact. We're going to have this strap up at the top here, and this one off to the side. That's going to serve as an anti-sway cradle to keep the bike from moving too far back and forth and making bike to bike contact. The cradles are adjustable, and can be cinched down into place by tightening down the screw at the bottom. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2012 GMC Acadia- Video

Today on our 2012 GMC Arcadia, we're doing a test fit of the Swagman Quad 2+2 platform style, 2 and 4 bike rack. That part number is S64692. Now, we already have our bike secured down. We're first going to show you how we do that. At the back and front tire, we have ratchet straps that are just going to secure our wheels down and make sure they don't come up at all. Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2012 GMC Acadia th912xtr- Video

Today in our 2012 GMC Acadia we're doing a test fit of the Thule Roadway Hanging Style Two Bike Rack. That part number is th912xtr. We're first going to show you how we secure our bike down. We have two cradles with three straps, two on our frame and one as our anti-sway strap. We're going to pull down and lift up on each so we can then remove our bike. Then with that out of the way, we'll replace our straps here so we don't lose or damage them. Now we'll take a few measurements. more
