So the Kuat Transfer has a very unique goal post design. I really like this design especially once you start getting more and more bikes onto your bike rack. This comes in an inch and a quarter and two inch shank version which is what we have here but you can also get the sod two inch shank and that creates or allows the opportunity to add more extensions to this bike rack. You have these wheel cradles that are adjustable up and down this rail right here and it's a zip tie style strap, and then you also have an adjustable frame hook. On top of that you have this nice little adjustable cable just for added protection.Let me just go ahead and show you guys how to take your bikes off the rack. You can start by undoing this little strap, and I do suggest leaving the hook for last as it does hold that bike upright, you wouldn't want it to hit your car or yourself. more

This is going to be able to hold up to two electric bikes at the same time and one of the main features I want to show you today is its ability to tilt away with the bikes installed.You're going to start by undoing this pin and clip and then pulling this little pressure knob on the other end and that's going to allow you to access anything that's in the back of your Explorer without having any clearance issues. And the first thing I do wanna point out is with the rack installed, we do lose access to our rear hatch. Saris Freedom-SuperClamp Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2014 Ford Explorer- Video
Today in our 2014 Ford Explorer, we're doing a test fit of the Saris Freedom SuperClamp Platform Style 2-Bike Rack. That part number is FA4025-FV. This bike rake is built for fat tire bikes, so we have ours loaded up here. We're gonna go over some features, show you how we secure everything down and take a few measurements. To start off, how we secure our bike into place, we have one strap at each tire holding that down. We're just going to push in the tab on the closer side to the vehicle, and pull our strap through. Here we already have it loaded up onto our vehicle and we have our bike loaded up. We're going to start off by showing you how we secure our bike down and going over a couple different features. The biggest feature right now with our bike loaded up is that we can tilt it away from our vehicle. We're going to start by pulling out our pin here at the bottom and pulling down on our lever. Today on our 2011 Ford Explorer, we're going to be test fitting the Curt two-bike platform rack for inch and a quarter and two inch hitches, part number C18085. We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's take a closer look and show off some of the features. The most prominent feature about this rack is that you can carry up to two bikes and actually have it tilt away to gain rear hatch access. To do that, we'll come to the base of our bike rack and you'll see two pins, a smaller and larger. We'll remove the larger pin first, we'll pull that out, and now while holding onto the bike rack we'll let it tilt away, and now we have full access to get to our rear hatch to get what we need, and plenty of space on either side to do so. more

Malone Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2011 Ford Explorer- Video
Today on our 2011 Ford Explorer, we're going to be test fitting the Malone Hanger Three-Bike Rack for 1-1/4" and 2" hitches, part number MPG2127. We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's take a closer look and show off some of the features. At the end of both of our arms we do have these reflectors for better visibility at night. The cradles are accessible along the arms to accommodate loading, and you tighten them down by tightening these screws at the bottom here. It'll grip your bike at two points. We're going to have this strap up at the top here and one off to the side, which will serve as an anti-sway cradle to keep your bike from moving too far back and forth and making bike-to-bike contact. We also have this foam pad at the mast here to help protect the frame of your bike from any scratches or abrasion. more

One of the biggest feature about this bike rack is the fact that it can tilt away from the vehicle with the bike still attached. To do that, we have a pin on the side here. Just pull the pin. We're going to have a padded frame hookup at the top and it's padded to make sure the bike itself doesn't get damaged or scratched once it's being installed. We'll also have two wheel straps on either tire. The wheel wells are adjustable by loosening and tightening these knobs to accommodate loading, but also to accommodate bikes of different sizes as well. It does have a raised shank to it so even if your hitch does sit particularly low to the ground, you're not going to have clearance issues. Let's go ahead and take the bike off and set it aside. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2017 Ford Explorer- Video
Today on our 2017 Ford Explorer, we're going to be test fitting the Thule Vertex Swing Four-Bike Rack for 2" Hitches, part number TH9031XT. We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's take a closer look and show off some of the features. The biggest feature about this bike rack is the fact that it can swing away from the vehicle, so you can have full rear hatch access with all the bikes still attached, which is pretty unique for a hanging-style bike rack. To do that, we'll undo this knob at the back all the way, like so. We'll pull this pin out. Pull up on the T-pin here. Start pushing it out till you reach about the 90-degree point, which will be right about here. more

Today on our 2017 Ford Explorer we're going to be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE 4-bike rack for 2" hitches, part number HR1400. We already have a bike installed on the rack so let's take a closer look and show off some of the features. One of the most prominent features about this bike rack is the fact that this can tilt away from the vehicle with all the bikes still attached. To do that we'll come to the base here, remove this large pin. You may have to lift the rack up just a little bit to loosen it up. Again we'll have this knob on the side we'll pull out and let it tilt away. Now we have full access to our rear hatch to get what we need and plenty of space on either side to do so, as you can see. more

Let's take a closer look and show off some of the features. The wheel cradles are adjustable along the arms here back and forth by loosening and tightening these knobs here. This is to accommodate loading but also to accommodate bikes of different sizes. It will grip your bike at three different points. We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's take a closer look and show off some of the features. The most prominent feature of this bike rack is the fact that this can tilt away with all the bikes still attached to get rear hatch access, which is pretty unique for a hanging-style bike rack. To do that, we'll come to this knob at the end here, pull it out, and just let it tilt towards us. Now we have full access to our rear hatch to get what we need and plenty of space on either side to do so as you can see here. To push it back in its original position is very easy. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2017 Ford Explorer S64650- Video
Today on our 2017 Ford Explorer we're doing a test fit of the Swagman XC platform style 2 bike rack. That part number is S64650. Now, we already have our bike secured down. We're first going to show you how we secure it in place. we have a front and rear wheel cradle that's going to hold our bike tires in place. Here in the center we're going to have a frame hook, and this is what holds our bike down into our wheel cradles. We're going to push on the tab on our hook and just lift it straight up. more
