Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Acura RDX- Video
Today on our 2015 Acura RDX we're doing a test fit of the Thule T2 Pro XTB Platform Style 2 Bike Rack. That part number is TH9034XT. Now we already have our bike secured down. We're first going to show you one of the key features of this rack. We're going to come back here to our conveniently located handle and squeeze that together. We can tilt our bike rack away from our vehicle with our bikes fully loaded, and we are going to gain full access into our back hatch area to get anything in or out that we may need. We've got plenty of room to stand in between our vehicle and our bike rack, and we can grab out larger or smaller items. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2011 Acura RDX- Video
Today on our 2011 Acura RDX we're going to be doing a test fit on the Thule Vertex Swing. This is a swing-away-style 4-bike rack. Been designed for use with 2" hitches. The part number on it is TH9031XT. The Swing is a very nice rack in the fact that this is going to give use complete, unobstructed access to our rear cargo area. For that to work, we're going to loosen the black t-handle located down here. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2011 Acura RDX TH9029XT- Video
Today on our 2011 Acura RDX, we're going to be doing a test fit on the Thule Vertex. This is a folding and tilting 4-bike rack. They've designed it so we can use it with the 1 1/4 or 2-inch hitches. Part number on it is TH9029XT. Now, the XT version has the integrated lock. It's going to be a cable that's going to come around that's going to secure all of our bikes in place so we won't have to worry about them disappearing from our rack. This is a Thule one-key system so that can be set to match any of your other Thule locks or as independent. more

Today on our 2015 Acura RDX we're going to be doing a test fit on the Thule Vertex. Now this is a folding and tilting 4-bike rack. They've designed it so you can use it with an 1-1/4" or with a 2" hitch. The part number on it is TH9029XT. First thing that we notice about the rack is its nice curved arms. This is going to help to keep our bikes separated, and in each position we're going to have an anti-sway cradle. more

Thule Doubletrack Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2013 Acura RDX- Video
Today on our 2013 Acura RDX we'll be test fitting the Thule Double Track platform style 2 bike carrier part number TH990XT. To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch, line up our pin holes, thread our anti rattle bolt though the threaded pinholes and tighten with the wrench. Now let's go over some clearance measurements to see how the bike carrier and this vehicle fit together. There is about 11 inches of ground clearance. The closest part of the vehicle to the closest part of the carrier is about 1 inch. With the bike carrier folded up we've added about 9 inches to the overall length of the vehicle. more

Today on our 2014 Acura RDX we're going to be test fitting the Thule Hitching Post Pro. This is a folding and tilting 4-bike rack. It's been designed for use with both the 1-1/4" and 2" hitches. Its part number is TH934XTR. To begin our test fit we're going to slide the shank of the rack right into the receiver tube of our hitch. We're going to slide it far enough so our threaded hole lines up with our hitch pinhole. more

Softride Dura Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2012 Acura RDX- Video
Today, on our 2012 Acura RDX, well be test fitting part number SR26247. The Softride dura parallelogram tilting 4 Bike Rack for both 1-1/4 and 2-inch hitches. Now, to begin our test fit, well simply slide our bike rack shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pinhole and install and tighten down our anti-rattle bolt. We can then install our lock, securing our bike rack to the vehicle. Well now go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance at the bike rack is 11 inches, and from the closest point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle is 1-1/4 inches. more

Yakima SwingDaddy 4 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2012 Acura RDX- Video
Today on our 2012 Acura RDX, we'll be test fitting part number Y02422, the Yakima SwingDaddy 4 Bike Carrier for 2-inch hitches. Now, to begin our test fit, we'll slide our bike rack shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole and install and tighten down our anti-rattle bolt, and this will secure our bike rack to the vehicle. We'll now go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance at the bike rack is 10-1/2 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle is 2-1/2 inches. We can now go ahead and pull the switch at the top of the bike rack mast. This will allow us to bring out the dual arms where we'll undo the straps exposing the cradles. more

Today on our 2012 Acura RDX well be test fitting the Thule Vertex 4 Bike Carrier for both 1-1/4 inch and 2-inch hitches, part number TH9029. Now to begin our test fit well simply slide our bike rack shank into the hitch using the included adaptor for the 2-inch hitches, we can then line up our hitch pin hole and install tighten down our anti-rattle bolt. Now our bike rack is secured to the vehicle. We can now go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance at the bike rack is 11-1/2 inches and from the closet point of our bike rack to the back of the vehicle is 7-1/2 inches. At this point we can go ahead and pull the hitch switch at the bottom of the mast to tilt the mast down. more

Thule Apex 4 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2012 Acura RDX- Video
Today on our 2012 Acura RDX, we'll be test fitting the Thule Apex 4 Bike Carrier for both 1-1/4 and 2-inch hitches, part number TH9025. Now, to begin our test fit, we've already installed the included adapter for the 2-inch hitch so we'll begin by sliding the bike rack shank into the hitch. We'll make sure that the integrated hitch pin is pulled where we'll slide it completely into the hitch and allow the pin to close into the hitch pin hole. We can then tighten down the anti-rattle knob here at the back of the shank, securing our bike rack to the vehicle. Now, well give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance at the bike rack is 11-1/2 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack mast to the back of the vehicle is 8 inches. more

SportRack Evader Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2012 Acura RDX- Video
Today on our 2012 Acura RDX, we'll be test fitting the SportRack Evader 3 Bike Carrier for both 1-1/4 and 2-inch hitches, part number A30403XT. Now to begin our test fit, we'll simply slide the bike rack shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole and install and tighten down our anti-rattle bolt. With our bolt tight, our bike rack is secured to the vehicle. Now, we can go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance at the bike rack is 11 inches. From the closest point of the mast to the back of the vehicle is 5 inches. more
