Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top Trunk Bike Racks Review - 2015 Ford Explorer- Video
Today on this 2015 Ford Explorer, we're going to be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Over the Top Two Bike Rack, part number HRF2. As you can see we already have a bike installed on the rack, let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. Now how the bike is attached to the rack, you're going to have three points of contact with the bike's frame. You're going to have two straps up top here, plus one strap off to the side, which is going to serve as anti-sway strap, which will keep the bike rack from moving back and forth, possibly hitting the bike rack, or the bike in front of it. Let's go ahead and take the bike off and set it aside for the time being. Now once you remove the straps it's a good habit to actually put them back in place. You don't want them flapping around while you're driving, more importantly you don't want to lose them while you're driving. more

Yakima Trunk Bike Racks Review - 2015 Ford Explorer- Video
Today on our 2015 Ford Explorer we're doing a test of the Yakima HalfBack Trunk Mount 2 Bike Rack, that part number is Y02636. Now we already have our bike secured down but first I'm going to show you how we do that and then we'll go over some features. We have 2 cradles in place with these straps also known as the ZipStrip, we have 2 on our frame here and we've got other anti-sway. We're going to start by removing our bike and setting it off to the side and then I suggest that you replace your ZipStrip so you don't lose or damage them. With those out of the way we'll take some measurements here. First looking the overall what we're adding to our vehicle with our arms hanging out. It's going to be 24 and a quarter inches. more

Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top Bike Rack Review - 2013 Ford Explorer- Video
Today on our 2013 Ford Explorer, well be test-fitting the Hollywood Over the Top, trunk mounted two-bike rack, for vehicle as spoilers, par number hrf2. Well begin our test fit by placing the bike rack up unto the vehicles rear hatch. Well position the bottom part of the bike rack on the upper tier of the rear bumper, as well as the top portion of the bike rack to the upper part of the window, just below the rear light. We can do this by flipping out the middle set of two black levers. With the bike rack in position, well take the top clips, and hook it to the top part of the rear hatch, as well as the side clips to the side part of the rear hatch, and the bottom clips at the bottom part of the rear hatch. Well then tighten on the straps to secure the bike rack to the vehicle.Well now go ahead and secure the extra strap. more

Thule Passage Trunk Mounted Bike Rack Review - 2013 Ford Edge- Video
Today, on our 2013 Ford Edge, we'll be test fitting the Thule Passage Truck-Mounted Two-Bike Carrier, Part Number TH910XT. Before we begin our test fit, we'll first need to refer to the Thule fit guide or the included instructions to determine what number or fit dial should be set at. After getting our fit dial, which in this case is nine, we'll set the carrier on to our vehicle.We'll go ahead and put the top hooks to the top part of the cargo door above the spoiler. The bottom hooks to the bottom part of the trunk and the side hooks to the side part of the trunk, just a little bit above the taillights. You may need to open up the cargo door to position the bottom hooks in place. Once you have all the hooks in place, we'll then go ahead and tighten down each strap to secure the carrier to our vehicle. Once we have the carrier secured, we're ready to load up our bike. more

Yakima QuickBack 2 Bike Rack Review - 2012 Ford Focus- Video
Today we have with us the 2012 Ford Focus and we'll be test fitting the Yakima Quickback 2 trunk-back bike carrier, part number Y02621. To fit our bike carrier onto our vehicle, we're going to set the top legs up on top of our trunk and the bottom legs against the trunk door of our vehicle. We'll fit the front hooks into the edge of trunk next to the windshield. Next well take the side hooks and fit them on the side just below the tail lights. Then the bottom hooks will go on the bottom edge of the trunk. We'll tighten down all our hooks and make sure that the bike rack is steady and secure. more

Thule Raceway Trunk Bike Rack Review - 2012 Ford Focus- Video
Today we have with us the 2012 Ford Focus and we're going to be test fitting the Thule Raceway 2 trunk-mount carrier, part number TH9001. To fit the Raceway to our vehicle, we need to make sure that fit dial is set at number 7. Once we've done that, we can set the trunk mount rack up on top of our vehicle. The upper arm of our carrier will rest on our trunk and the lower arm of our carrier should be positioned on the upper tier of our rear bumper. We'll place the hooks on the top at the trunk gap right by the rear windshield. Then we'll take the other two hooks and hook them to the bottom of the trunk lid. more

Today we have with us a 2012 Ford Focus and we're going to be test fitting the Thule Gateway 2 trunk-mounted bike carrier, part number TH9006. We already have our carrier setup to fit our vehicle with fit dial being set at number seven. Next, we're going to place the bike rack up on top of our trunk. The upper support is going to sit on the top of our trunk lid. The lower arm of the carrier should be sitting on the upper tier of the bumper. With our bike rack in place, we'll fit the top two hooks on the edge of our trunk near the windshield. more

Yakima QuickBack 2 Bike Rack Review - 2011 Ford Crown Victoria- Video
Today on this 2011 Ford Crown Victoria were going to do a test fit of a Yakima Quickpack II trunk mounted rack, part number Y02621. This bicycle rack has an integrated knob that adjusts to a telescoping base to make for the best fit on your vehicle. Theres also a side knob that repositions the angles of the arms to give you more adjustment. All the attachment points that touch the car are tri-padded and have padded buckles to protect the vehicle paint. Well go ahead and get started. Well start off by putting the bicycle rack on the trunk and taking the security strap and pushing it between the trunk lid and back glass so it goes to the inside. more

Today on our 2011 Ford Crown Victoria, we will be test fitting the Yakima King Joe 2 bike rack. Before beginning it is a good idea to apply a thick coat of wax to the surface of the trunk, to prevent scratches or minor blemishes in the pain. Included in the instructions that are given to you with the purchase of the bike rack will be a fit instruction. We have already predetermined the positioning of this bike rack to the trunk lid of this Crown Victoria, to do that just refer to the instructions that come with the bike rack. Okay what were going to do first is to sit the bike rack up on the front and secure the front to our top straps to the top of the deck lid. We will secure the side strap near the taillight; we will secure the lower strap on the medal lid on the inside of the trunk lid. more
