Curt 2 Electric Bike Rack Review - 2020 Jeep Gladiator- Video
Hey everybody, welcome to etrailer.com. I'm Bobby, and today we're taking a look at the Curt 2 bike platform rack, here on our 2020 Jeep Gladiator. So if you guys are looking for a way of getting two bikes to your destination, well this could be a 1/2 decent way of doing so. Now, personally I think this rack has a few shortcomings and we're gonna be breaking that down here in this video but it's still gonna be a really nice way if you're looking for something with just a little bit more higher weight capacity than you might be seeing on some other carriers. Why I say that Well, we have 130 pound weight capacity overall for both of our bikes, putting us at a 65 pound solo bike capacity, which can be very nice for our E-bikes, right Those are already starting to get up a little bit higher past that standard 60 pound weight capacity. So this would probably be the reason I think a lot of us are gonna be getting it. more

Yakima HoldUp Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2020 Jeep Cherokee- Video
Hi everyone, It's Evangeline here at Etrailer, and today we are looking at the Yakima HoldUp 2-Bike Rack here on our 2020 Jeep Cherokee. Now this is a nice bike rack in terms of it has a really decent weight capacity, It can compact down really small, and it has a good record. It's been around for a while and people still like it for some good reasons. So one of its features is that it can tilt away, and to do so we have a lever right over here that we're gonna slightly lift up on the bike in order to release and pull out that lever, and that creates this tilt away feature. And you'll want to do this if you wanna access your hatch. So notice here on our Cherokee how actually our door kind of comes close to handlebars but it clears allowing us to get into our trunk grab whatever we need, whether it's our water, our bags, our helmets, without having to take our bike off, which is nice and convenient. more

Hey everybody, welcome to etrailer.com. I'm Bobby, and today we're taking a look at the Yakima Back Road 4 Bike Rack Carrier, here on our 2017 Jeep Cherokee. Now if you're looking a way of getting a multitude of bikes to the trailhead, hanging styles are definitely gonna be a great option for yourself. Things to keep in mind though, we are gonna start seeing a lot more sway on our bikes because we're only having these dual arm support system which is gonna do a really good job of making sure our bike isn't tilting side to side but because of our frame mounts and our frame is circular you are gonna get just a little bit of sway as we are go down the road. Now the BackRoad does have a lot of techniques to combat that sway. The biggest one being for me is we are getting seven inch spreads on each of our channel mounts here. more

Hi everybody, welcome to etrailer.com, I'm Bobby and today we're taking a look at the Swagman XC2 Two-Bike Platform Rack here on the back of our 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee. So, this is gonna be a very decent way of just getting your bikes to the trail head. Now, it is not gonna be the best bike rack out there, if you do find yourself having a little bit more of an expensive bike that you wanna really treat nice, this might not be the rack for you. Why I say that It still does an excellent job of just getting our bikes up to that trail head, however, we really only have one point of contact here on our bike. Now, it is solid, as you can see, it's moving here with the XC2, so it's not going anywhere, but all in all, you are seeing a lot of rattle on here, a lot of side to side shift. If you had another bike on here, it might start rubbing up on it and again, that one point of contact can be an issue for some people out there. more

Now guys, this is gonna be an awesome excellent stylish way of getting your bikes to your destination. Not only that though, it's still gonna give you a great capacity rating about 40 pounds per bike. You can see not the biggest platform rack out there either especially if you're comparing it to something like the Kuat NV 2.0, which is gonna get you, yes, that 60 pound weight capacity, but it is gonna be quite larger even especially to the side. So I like this guy, kinda how low profile it is, not to get too much room here in the back of our Jeep and of course got that nice copper accents throughout it. However, it does come in multiple colors does come in gunmetal gray, as you can see and the pearl as well. more

Now, guys is gonna be a very nice way of giving your big old, heavy e-bikes up onto your back of your vehicle and getting to where you want to go. The Swagman current has been specifically designed for your big old heavy e-bikes up on here. You're gonna see a lot of that lime green, electric green going throughout this entirety of this rack. And I do kind of like it, it does match up quite nicely with our bike here today. However, it's gonna be very nice, especially when you start getting into dusk and it starts getting a little harder to see those right contact points, make it really easy to start manipulating our rack and giving our bike up on there with no trouble at all. more

Now Kuat of course, worried about that style, you get the nice sleek copper orange look throughout it. And we are working here today on our gun metal gray, if the color's not quite to your liking, the Sherpa does come in a multitude of different colors, whether it be gray as you see it here today, black or Pearl, that way you can go ahead and accessorize with your own vehicle at home. However, the gunmetal gray gives you a great little look at what you're gonna be getting. more

Now guys, this can be a nice little way of just getting your bikes to your destination. Now personally, the destination can look a little busy especially if you start looking at four bike platform rack, you can really start seeing these straps just kind of make it a little unsightly on the eyes. However, I think you're gonna really like how well the job it actually clamps on your bike. Hi, everyone. It's Evangeline here at etrailer. And today, we'll be taking a look at our RockyMounts MonoRail platform bike rack here on our 2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. So your Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is actually limited when it comes to the bike racks that can fit it because of its spare tire. I have noticed that other bike racks do have clearance issues, like you can't use the furthest or I guess the closest cradle because then your bike hits the spare tire, or you don't get enough clearance when it comes to the bottom. So here, you can immediately see that this is a really good fit for your Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. more

Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited SH22G- Video
Hi everyone, it's Evangelina here at etrailer. And today we'll be taking a look at our Kuat Sherpa 2.0, 2-Bike Rack here on our 2013 Jeep Wrangler, Unlimited. First thing is we are currently using a hitch extender, which is why the Sherpa fits on a Jeep Wrangler, around its spare tire. If you don't already have a hitch extension, that might be something to consider because it won't fit otherwise. Another thing is that the Kuat Sherpa is the bike rack you would get, if you really liked the Kuat aesthetic, the Kuat look, but you don't wanna pay the premium price that the Kuat NV has, and that is where the Kuat Sherpa comes in. So we'll take a look at some of the specs just to see if this is the right fit for you and your bikes. more

Today, on our 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're gonna be taking a look at the RockyMounts MonoRail 2. Cool thing about the MonoRail 2, if your family's growing or your love for the hobby's growing and you grab another bike, you can actually add a third bike on the end of this. And there's also a single bike version available on our website too. But if you got a friend, the 2 is gonna have a capacity of 60 pounds per bike. We're gonna have a tire width maximum of five. So, our little cradle here is gonna be great for those fat tire bikes as long as it doesn't exceed 60 pounds. more

What's up everybody Adam here with etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at our hitch mounted bike rack. This is going to be on our 2015 Jeep Wrangler unlimited. So our bike rack is going to be a hanging style bike rack, not going to be great for those carbon fiber bikes, but it is going to get four bikes to, and from your destination. So with this, we want to make sure all the bikes total is going to be less than 120 pounds per bike. And we're going to have four different cradles and they are going to be spaced apart about 5 3/4 of an inch. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2020 Jeep Gladiator- Video
What's up everybody, it's AJ with the etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna be checking out the Swagman XC2 2020 Jeep Gladiator. So it's gonna be a platform style bike rack, which means the bike sits in the wheel wells, and is held by this hook here on the frame. So we have an aluminum road bike on here, we don't suggest using carbon fiber bikes, just because the pressure that it's putting on that top tube, you don't want to dent or scratch anything. Now it does have a coating on the hook, so it's not gonna bother our aluminum bike today. And it holds it pretty well, I can shake the whole thing back and forth. more
