Malone Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2012 GMC Acadia- Video
Today, on our 2012 GMC Acadia, we're going to be test fitting the Malone Hanger Three Bike Rack for inch and a quarter and two inch hitches, part number MPG2127. We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's take a closer look and show off some of the features. How the bike is held into place, we're going to have two points of contact. We're going to have this strap up at the top here, and this one off to the side. That's going to serve as an anti-sway cradle to keep the bike from moving too far back and forth and making bike to bike contact. The cradles are adjustable, and can be cinched down into place by tightening down the screw at the bottom. more

Today on our 2017 GMC Acadia, we're going to be test fitting the Yakima SwingDaddy 4 Bike Rack, part number Y02464. We already have a bike installed on the rack, let's go and take a closer look and show off some of the features. We have two ball loppers on the ends here on both arms and we also have these padded cradles here. Once you put the bikes in place, they will not get scratched up and we have the easy to use zip strips to hold them in place. It'll grab your bike by three points. We're going to have two strips up at the top and one off to the side, that's going to be your anti-sway cradle to keep the bikes from moving too close to each other. more

Lets show off the most important feature which is how it slides forward from the rear of the vehicle with the bike still attached. This is one of the only hanging bike racks that does this. Let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. First off, how the bike is attached to the rack, it has four points of contact that are on the bike's frame. You have three straps up top here, and one strap off to the side here, which acts as a anti-sway strap which keeps it from moving back and forth, possibly hitting the bike rack or the bikes in front of it. Let's go ahead and take that off. It's always good practice once you take the straps off to put them back on before you start driving, because you don't want them flapping around, and you don't want to possibly lose them while driving. Next I'm going to give you some measurements, though it will give you some idea of how far it sticks out from the vehicle once it's installed. I'll be measuring from the bumper. Right at about 40 inches there. Next we'll do ground clearance from this point here. more

Today in this 2002 GMC Envoy, we're going to be test fitting the Swagman XC-2 Bike Rack, part number S64650. We have a bike already installed on the rack, let's go ahead and get in closer and show off some of the features. What makes this bike rack kind of unique from the others is there are no straps for the wheels, and there's only one point of contact with your frame, which is this hook right here. If you want to remove it, you just go to the first up the top up here, push in this button, and raise it out of position. The same for the frame hook here. If you want to actually lock it into position, you just simply push down, and it ratchets into place. Go ahead and remove our bike, set it out of the way, and go ahead and lower our frame hooks a little bit. more

Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2002 GMC Envoy- Video
Today in this 2002 GMC Envoy, we're going to be test-fitting the Kuat transfer 3-bike platform rack, part number TS03G. Now we already have a bike installed on the rack, and the first thing I want to show you is it's tilt feature. This is a really neat feature, as you can tilt it away from the cargo area with the bikes still installed. To get to the part we need to, we have to lift these arms up here, and there's this clamp, or pedal, right here. You just push down with your foot, holding on to the bike rack, and let it gently come down, and now we have access to our cargo area, with plenty of space on both sides to get whatever you may need. Now to put it back into position, you simply just grab the bike rack again, never the bike. more

Today on our 2002 GMC Envoy we're going to be test fitting the Yakima FullTilt 4 Bike Rack, part number Y02462. Now as you can see we do have a bike already installed on the rack, let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of those features. Now how the bike is attached to the rack, you are going to have three points of contact with your bike's frame. You are going to have two strips up here and one off to the side which is going to serve as an anti-sway strip to keep it from going back and forth possibly either hitting the bike rack or the bikes in front of it. Let's go ahead and take that off. Now Yakima uses zip strips here so you just push in on both sides, like so and pull it completely out. Put those in our pocket for now and let's pull off the bike. Now with the zip strips since you take those completely out you can put them in your glove compartments, you can put them in your pockets, I tend to like to put them back in to place first off so I don't lose them but also so you keep all the dirt and road grim out of these latches here. With the bike removed I'm going to go ahead and give you some measurements now. more

Inno Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2002 GMC Envoy- Video
Today, on our 2002 GMC Envoy, we're going to be test-fitting the Inno Tire Hold 3 Bike Rack, part number INH305-306. Now, the first feature to this, is the most unique of the bike rack, is that you can actually tilt it away from the rear cargo area, with the bike still attached. You just pull this latch down, gently let it down, and now we have access to our cargo area. With plenty of space on either side of the bike rack to get whatever you need from your rear cargo area. To put the bike rack back up into position, you just simply lift the bike rack up, never the bike, until you hear that click, and it's locked into place. Now, how the bike attaches to the rack, it has 2 tire holds on either side, plus it has these adjustable tire brackets here, to adjust for different tire sizes. more

Today on this 2002 GMC Envoy, we're going to be test fitting the Thule Vertex 4 Bike Rack, part number TH9029XT. We have a bike already on our rack, let's go ahead and take a closer look and show you how it's attached. This has 3 points of contact on the bike's frame: you have the 2 straps on top here, plus this strap here on the side which is anti-sway strap which keeps it from going side to side, possibly hitting your vehicle or the bikes in front of it. Let's go ahead and take that off . just slip the bike off gently here and set it off to the side. Now, it's always good practice to reinstall your straps after you've taken them off so they're not flapping around while you're driving or you possibly lose them while you're driving. Okay, now I'm going to go ahead and give you some measurements to give you an idea of how far the bike rack sticks out once it's installed from your bumper. Looks to be about 41 inches from the bumper here. Now the ground clearance, which is going to be from about here, we're looking at about 17 and a half inches to here. And the closest part to the bumper, which is going to be this part here, it's going to be around 4 and 3/4 inches. These arms do fold down for those close-quarters situations, such as parking. more

Inno Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 GMC Acadia- Video
Today, on our 2016 GMC Acadia, we're test fitting the Inno hitch-mounted carrier. It's a 2-bike platform-style bike rack, and the part number for that is INH350. Now, as you can see, we do already have our bike on our rack. We're going to show you a few features of the rack and then also how we strap our bike down to the rack itself. The first feature I want to show you is the tilt-away feature. To tilt your bike away from your vehicle to get into your bike hatch, we're just going to push down with your foot or your hand on that lever there. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 GMC Acadia- Video
Today on our 2016 GMC Acadia, we are test-fitting the Swagman XC 2-bike platform style rack. This rack is designed to work with 1 1/4-inch and 2-inch hitches, and the part number for that is S64650. As you can see here, we do already have our bike mounted to the rack. We're going to show you how we mount the bike and secure it on there, and then some other features of the rack itself. As you can see, you might be a little concerned that we don't have straps holding down the wheels here. I can say with confidence that all of the customer reviews have been very positive, and that you don't need any straps to hold down your wheels there, and that the frame gooks do well enough for now. To push the frame hooks up, we're just going to push down on this gray lever back here, and we'll lift straight up. more

Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 GMC Acadia- Video
Today in our 2016 GMC Acadia, we're test fitting the Kuat Transfer three-bike platform style rack. This rack is adaptable for inch and a quarter and two-inch hitches. The part number for that is TS03G. Now as you can see, we do already have our bike on the rack. We're going to show you some different features of the rack itself and then also how we strap the bike down to the rack. Now as you can see here, we do have this lever here that's going to help with the tilting feature. If you just push down on the lever while holding down your bike rack, you'll be able to tilt your bike rack all the way down away from your vehicle and that's going to allow you access to your back hatch here. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 GMC Acadia S64675- Video
Today on our 2016 GMC Acadia we're test fitting the Swagman Original Folding 4-Bike Towing Rack for two inch trailer hitches. This bike rack is part number S64675. Now as you can see we already have a bike on our rack, I'm going to show you how to secure the bike to the rack and also some features of the rack itself. As you can see here we do have this one cradle here, now you may be concerned because it's just one cradle but it's holding the frame well enough and I can assure you that it's not going to swing back and forth and possibly hit your vehicle. To undo your bike rack you're going to go ahead and unscrew all this thumb screws up at the top here. Once you get all those unscrewed , you can go ahead and take this plate off at the top. Set that off to the side and then take your bike right of the rack there. Now if you take a look at the cradles themselves, they do have groves all in the middle of them. more

Today on our 2016 GMC Acadia we're test fitting the SportRack Ridge Swing Away style 4 Bike Rack. This bike rack is designed to work with two inch hitches and the part number for that is SR2415. As you can see we do already have our bike on our rack. We're going to show you some features of the bike rack itself and then also how we secure the bike to the rack. First thing I want to show you is that swing away feature. To do that we're going to pull out this T pin down here. Set that off to the side. more

SportRack Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 GMC Acadia SR2403- Video
Today on our 2016 GMC Acadia we are test fitting the sport rack three bike carrier for an inch and a quarter and two inches hitches. This is a tilting bike rack and the part number for that is SR2403. Now as you can we already have our bike on the rack. We're going to show you some features of the bike rack itself and also how we secure the bike. Now if you look up here you can see we already have two cradles holding in our bike rack . our bike. We have three straps here, two on the frame, and then one on the back. more

Kuat NV Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 GMC Acadia- Video
Today on our 2016 GMC Acadia, we're test fitting the Kuat Envy Platform Style 4 Bike Rack which is designed to work with two inch hitches. The part number for that is N105-107. As you can see we do already have our bike on our rack. We're going to show you some features of the rack and then also how we secure our bike down. First feature I want to show you is the tilt-away feature because you can tilt away with the bike still on your platform. We're just going to life up on this silver lever here and slowly drop our bike rack down. As you can see we do still have enough clearance here on the ground so you don't have to worry about your bike rack scraping on the ground. We also have enough clearance here so we'll be able to open our back hatch. Now if you have larger pedals or longer handlebars up there on your bike, you might want to careful and just be aware of your hatch opening. more

Today on our 2016 GMC Acadia, we're test fitting the Swagman Trailhead 4 Bike Rack. This is a hanging style bike rack designed to work with inch and a quarter and two inch hitches. The part number for that is S63380. Now as you can see we do already have our bike on the rack. We're going to show you how we strap the bike down and then also some features of the rack itself. As you can see we do have two cradles here holding the bike down. We've got three straps on the top for the frame there. We've got one in the back here that's going to be your anti-sway strap. That's going to prevent your bike from swinging back and forth too much and possible hitting your vehicle. Now to release those you're just going to pull-down and lift up. more
