Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2014 Chrysler Town and Country- Video
Today on our 2014 Chrysler Town and Country, we're going to be doing a test fit in the Kuat NV 2.0 Platform Style 2 Bike Rack. That's part number NV22G. I've already got it loaded up on the Town and Country just to give you a good idea what it looks like and how it's going to hold our two bikes. It actually holds our bikes with zero frame contact. We have this wheel hook going over our front wheel putting gab pressure into our front wheel cradle. For our rear wheel, we've got a strap going over and keeping that in place. more

Today on our 2014 Chrysler Town & Country we're going to be doing a test fit on the Thule T2 Classic platform-style 2-bike rack. That's part number TH9044. I've already got it loaded up just to give you a good idea of what it looks like and how it's going to hold our bikes. It actually holds our bikes with zero frame contact. We have this wheel hook going over our front wheel putting down pressure into the front wheel cradle here. Then in the rear we've just got a strap going over our wheel keeping that in place. more

Curt Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2012 Chrysler Town and Country- Video
Today on our 2012 Chysler Town & Country, we're going to be test fitting the Curt Premium 4 bike rack, part number C18064. We already have a bike installed on the rack, let's go ahead and take a close look and show off some of the features. The first feature I'd like to show off is how the bars are shaped. This is pretty unique for a hanging style rack. They start narrow and then they fan out as they go towards the rear. With the narrower ones, you can use this for smaller bikes such as kids' bikes. The cradles are adjustable along the arms to make loading a little bit easier. more

Today on our 2012 Chrysler Town & Country, we're going to be test fitting the Kuat Transfer three bike rack, part number TS03G. We already have a bike on the rack. Let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. The first feature we'd like to show of is that with this van in particular, the hitch sits pretty low to the ground. Thanks to the raised shank of the bike rack itself, you're not going to have an clearance issues with your bikes. Another really great feature about this is the fact that this can tilt away from the vehicle with the bike still attached. To do that, I'll have to lift these up here just to get to it. more

Rola TX-104 Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2012 Chrysler Town and Country- Video
Today on our 2012 Chrysler Town & Country we're going to be test fitting the ROLA TX-104 4-bike rack, part number 59401. We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. The first feature I like to show off is its integrated cable lock in the center of the mast. You'll pull that up and around your bikes and attach it to this point here, and lock it in place to prevent theft and tampering. The cradles themselves are adjustable along the length of the bike rack arms. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2012 Chrysler Town and Country- Video
Today on our 2012 Chrysler Town & Country, we're going to be test-fitting the Thule Vertex Swing 4 Bike Rack, part number TH9031XT. We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's go and take a closer look and show off some of the features. The first and probably most important feature of this rack is the fact that this can swing away from the vehicle with the bike still attached, which is pretty unique for a hanging-style rack. To do that, we'll unscrew this knob at the back, it's loose enough, we'll remove this pin here, and just set it off to the side for now, then lift up on this T-handle, like so, and that will release the actual swing function. Bring it around, and then we'll bring the rack itself back on, like so, so it'll catch right there, and then we'll keep on pushing it the rest of the way, like so. more

Softride Element-Parallelogram Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2012 Chrysler Town and Country- Video
Today on our 2012 Chrysler Town and Country we're going to be test fitting the Softride Element Parallelogram Tilting Four Bike rack or number SR26248. We already have a bike installed on the rack, let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. Now probably the most important feature about this bike rack is the fact that you can tilt it away from the vehicle with the bikes still attached which is pretty unique for a hanging style bike rack. To do that, there's this black handle on the passenger side of the mast. You pull that out like so, let it come towards you and with that, we have total access to our rear hatch to get whatever it is that we need with plenty of space on either side to do so. Like as you see here. To put it back in it's original position you just push it back up, like so. The cradles themselves are adjustable you just pull out these plastic pieces in between and set them up however you like. more

Pro Series Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2012 Chrysler Town and Country- Video
Today on our 2012 Chrysler Town & Country, we're going to be test-fitting the Pro Series Q Slot 4 Bike Rack part number PS63138. As you can see, we already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's go and take a closer look and show off some of the features. Now for this particular vehicle, the first feature I like to show off, is the fact that the pitch itself kind of sits low to the ground and since this has a ray 00:00:21 shank, you're not going to have any ground clearance issues with this bike rack. One of the main features is while this is a four bike rack here, you can remove this section on the end and turn it into just a two bike rack if you wanted to. How the bike is actually attached to the rack, we're going to have three points of contact. more

Now, because our pin is here, closer to the vehicle and we have it at the 4-bike, I suggest you get an extra set of hands to help you tilt it down. We're going to lift up slightly on the bike rack, and then I'll pull the pin out and we'll tilt it down, just like so. more

Hey there! Today in our shop, we've got a 2016 Chrysler Town and Country, and we'll be taking a look at the Thule T2 Pro 2-bike rack for 2" hitches. It's a platform-style rack. Part number on it is TH9034. You can see I've already got a bike up in our T2, and I want to go over a few things with you while it's in place. We've got our bike secured here at the rear in this wheel cradle, along with a strap that holds it in place. Both the wheel cradle and the wheel hook up here are extra large so that they can accommodate not only skinny road bikes, but also mountain bikes and even fat-tire bikes. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Chrysler 200- Video
Today on this 2015 Chrysler 200 we're going to be test fitting the Swagman Trailhead 4 bike rack, part number S63380. As you can see we already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's go a head and take a closer look at it and show off some of the features. How the bike is actually attached to the rack, you're going to have 4 points of contact with your bike's frame. You're going to have 3 straps up top here, then 1 strap off to the side here which is going to serve as an anti-sway strap to keep it from coming back and forth, possibly hitting the bike rack itself, or the bikes in front of it. Let's go ahead and remove the bike, set it off to the side. With the straps removed it's always a good practice to actually put them back into place because you don't want them flapping around while you're driving, and you don't want to lose them while you're driving. With that done I'm going to go ahead and give you some measurements now. more

Let's go ahead and take the bike off and set it aside. When you remove the straps, it's a good habit to actually put the straps back into place, because you don't want them flapping around while you're driving, or possibly lose them while you're driving. With that done, I'm going to go ahead and give you a couple of measurements now. more

Now, to operate the hook you always want to be holding on to your bike so that it doesn't go falling into the vehicle while you loosen it up. more

Today, on our 2014 Chrysler Town and Country, we're doing a test fit of the Thule Roadway Hanging Style 2 Bike Rack. That part number is TH912XTR. Now, we already have our bike loaded up. We're first going to show you how we secure that down. We have two cradles in place. The top here and then three straps. Two on our frame and then one as our anti-sway strap on the back. To remove those, we just pull down and lift up. Then, we can remove our bike, and set that off to the side. With our bike out of the way, I always suggest you replace your straps, so you don't lose or damage any of them. Now, we can take a few measurements. Our first measurement is going to be our overall. We're adding about 26 inches to the back of our vehicle. Now, if we want to park in close-quarters parking spots, we could come up here and lift up on the grey handle. more

Today on our 2015 Chrysler 300 we're going to do a test fit of the Sairs 00:03:56 freedom super clamp 2 bike rack platform style part number is SA4025. Now we have a bike on our rack and we have it hooked up to our vehicle, how about I just show you some features. Now we have the bike hooked up to our bike rack itself. We have our 2 frame hooks, 1 in the front 1 in the back, and how we level the gauge. Right here you see the yellow button, you can press it and pull up, but then gauge it. Just bring it down until it stops clicking, and you want it there right in front of your break caliber, and the 1 in the back same way. Just pretty much a 90 degree angel. As long as it's holding that tire down you should be just fine. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 Chrysler Town and Country TH912XTR- Video
Today with the 2016 Chrysler Town and Country we're doing a test fit of the Thule Roadway hanging style two bike rack. That part number is TH912XTR. Now, we already have our bike on the rack. We're first going to show you how we strap that down. We have two cradles in place, with three straps, two on our frame and then one is our anti-sway strap in the back. To remove those, we just pull down and lift up. We save the anti-sway strap for last. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 Chrysler Town and Country TH9029XT- Video
Today on our 2016 Chrysler Town and Country, we're doing a test fit of the Thule Vertex hanging style 4 bike rack. That part number is TH9029XT. We already have our bike on the rack. We're first going to show you how we strap that down. We have two cradles in place and then three straps altogether: two on our frame and then one as our anti-sway strap in the back. To release those we're going to pull down and lift up and we're going to save that anti-sway strap for last. Then we can just pull our bike off and set it off to the side, and with that out of the way we always want to make sure we reconnect our straps so we don't lose or damage any of them. Now we'll take a few measurements. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Chrysler Town and Country s64675- Video
Today on our 2015 Chrysler Town & Country we're taking a look at the Swagman Original towing-style 4-bike rack. Now to start with it does a great job of transporting four bikes. Uses the top plate system. It's fully lockable and really does a great job of holding the bikes in place. I wasn't so sure about it, but as soon as I tightened this knob down I could tell it really does a great job, and the reviews back that up. Each area is going to have nice small grooves designed in the kratons. You can see them here. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Chrysler Town and Country s64351- Video
Today on our 2015 Chrysler Town and Country, we're taking a look at the Swagman original tilting 3-bike rack. Now, they've designed this so we can use it with the inch and a quarter or with the two inch hitch. The part number on it is S-64351. Now, the Swagman uses a steel plate upper here. It's going to hold our bike in place really, really well. Two knobs apply pressure through our Kratons, which are lined to protect our bike's finish and also provide a great gripping surface. Kuat NV Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Chrysler Town and Country- Video
Today on our 2015 Chrysler Town & Country, we're doing a test fit on the Kuat NV. This is a platform-style 4-bike rack. It's been designed for use in 2" hitches. Part number on it here as you see it in the black and chrome is N105-107. It's also available in my favorite, which is the gun metal gray and orange. That part number is N101-103. Now the big highlight about the NV, other than the way it looks, its durability, its quality, all those are really right up front there, but this rack does everything that a standard rack does, but it never touches the frame of the bike. more
