RockyMounts Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe- Video
Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today, we're taking a look at the RockyMounts GuideRail on the back of our 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe. The GuideRail is a platform style bike rack that holds the bike in these trays and holds it by the tires. You've got this dual wheel mount design where these two hoops go over the tires to hold it in place. It does mean it has zero frame contact, so alternative frame bikes and carbon frame bikes are gonna be just fine to load up here, and you do have a 60 pound capacity per bike, making it good for some of our e-bikes too. With this, you do have the ability to tilt it away with bikes loaded. more

We've got our wheel hook up front that's gonna keep it steady, and a wheel strap on the back to keep it just as a secondary point of contact. It doesn't make any frame contact, so alternative frame bikes are gonna be just fine as well as carbon frame bikes, and then with a 60 pound weight capacity per bike, it's gonna be good for some e-bikes too. Hi everyone. Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the Hollywood Rack's Destination two bike rack on the back of our 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe. The Destination is a more entry level platform rack but it's one that I really like just because it works the wide range of bikes and it's fairly easy to use at a really accessible price point. With this, it's a platform style rack, so it's held in these trays and primarily attaches by the frame. We've got this padded cradle that slides up and down and rotates 360 degrees with a strap that runs around the frame to secure it. more

Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Destination e-bike rack on the back of our 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe. The Hollywood Racks is a platform style bike rack that holds the bike in these trays and by our frame. We've got a clamp that will hold down around the frame, tighten using a hand knob and it's fully lockable. So it does make frame contact which means we do wanna avoid carbon frame bikes but this clamp does rotate 360 degrees and it has the ability to pivot and slide and meet the frame where it is. So any sort of alternative frame should be just fine. more

CURT Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe- Video
Hi, everyone. It's Aiden here with the etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the CURT Premium on our 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe. The CURT Premium is a hanging style bike rack. It'll hold the bike by the frame hanging down below, with two straps over the top to keep it down in these cradles, with a third strap around the seat post there limiting our side to side movement. It doesn't entirely eliminate it, but it does help with bike-to-bike contact, and in some cases, bike-to-vehicle contact if it we're to sway too much. more

Yakima Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Chevrolet Colorado- Video
Hi everyone, Aiden here with etrailer. Today, we're taking a look at the Yakima StageTwo on our 2015 Chevrolet Colorado. Now, StageTwo is a platform style bike rack, and a really rugged one at that, it's gonna be really well built in heavy-duty. With this, we're holding the bike by our front tire, and it's not making any frame contact, so it's gonna be good for our carbon and alternative frame bikes, and it also has a 70 pound weight capacity per bike, which makes it good for some of our heavier e-bikes too. With this, you do have the ability to tilt it away with bikes loaded. Now, just come to the end of the handle here, squeeze it with both hands as you're applying a little bit of upward pressure, and then it will release, and that'll give us access to the bed of our truck with a full opening tailgate. more

Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the Saris SuperClamp HD on our 2015 Chevrolet Colorado. The SuperClamp's a platform style bike rack, can hold up to 2 bikes and it's gonna hold them by the tires using these wheel hooks. Now this one's going to get an exceptionally strong hold on the bike. You can see there's no movement of the bike within the bike rack because we've got the hooks as well as cradles with straps on the bottom to keep everything really secure. Hi everyone. Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at our Saris Freedom Bike Rack on our 2015 Chevrolet Colorado. Now the Freedom's gonna be a platform style bike rack holding the bike in these cradles, and by our frame it's gonna be a pretty entry level platform style rack but it does have some nice features that I really like compared to some other entry level options. The big thing of that being it's weight capacity it has a 60 pound capacity per bike which for an entry level rack is really uncommon. So if you need a way to carry e-bikes this is gonna be a nice way to do it at an affordable price point. more

So once you get things loaded up on here, it's gonna take a lotta effort to tilt it away and get bikes loaded up, but that's why you have your friends and family there. So right away though, the thing that separates this bike rack from a lot of other 4-bike platform racks is the dual-wheel-style mounting option here. Curt 2 Electric Bike Rack Review - 2022 Chevrolet TrailBlazer- Video
Hey everybody, welcome to etrailer.com, I'm Bobby. And today we're taking a look at the Curt 2-bike platform rack for electric bikes here on our 2022 Chevy Trailblazer. So there's gonna be a pretty decent way guys for you to get your heavy e-bikes up onto the back of your vehicle. Now the things that I do like about this platform rack, we are gonna have 130 pounds of overall weight capacity. That puts us at about 65 pounds per bike, which is gonna be excellent for our big ole heavy e-bikes that we wanna get on here. Because I think a lot of us are starting to see those e-bikes are already kinda getting past that standard 60-pound weight capacity that we see on a lot of the other carriers out there, and starting again, just to get a little heavier and heavier. more

Hey, everybody, welcome to etrailer.com. I'm Bobby and today we're taking a look at the Yakima OnRamp 2-bike platform rack for your electric bikes here on our 2020 Chevy Equinox. So this is gonna be an excellent way of carrying your heavy e-bikes because right out of the gate, we're gonna have a 66 pound weight capacity rating, which is excellent for, of course, our heavy e-bikes that are definitely starting to kind of get past that 60 standard weight capacity that we're seeing on a lot of this premium carriers. So literally they'll have those few extra pounds to make sure that we're staying nice and safe and of course, secure with our electric bikes. Now, one thing I do need to get out of the gate as well here on the Chevy Equinox at least on our hitch that we have on it here today, we are just a little bit too close for this actually to fold up and stay nice and tight on our Chevy Equinox. So I'm gonna give you guys some dimensions later. more

Hey, everybody welcome to etrailer.com. I'm Bobby and today we're taking a look at the Yakima on ramp two-bike platform rack for your electric bikes here on our 2022 Chevy Trailblazer. So this is gonna be a really nice way, guys, of getting those heavy e-bikes up on the back of our vehicle and why that is. And the name probably suggests we do have a ramp to actually assist us getting our bikes on here. So that's gonna be inter gross. We actually are gonna have a 66 pound weight capacity for both of our bikes. more

Thule Hitching Post Pro Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2021 Chevrolet TrailBlazer- Video
What's up everybody, it's Aj with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna be checking out the Thule Hitching Post Pro on our 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer. It's gonna be a hanging-style bike rack, so it's gonna hold the bike by the frame. So we recommend not using carbon fiber bikes on here, that could damage the frame, and you don't wanna do that. The other issue you might have is alternative frame bikes, or some kids' bikes, you might have to get a bike adapter bar. So that'll hook in here at the seat, and the handlebars, and it'll sit here in these cradles, that way it's nice and even. more

Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2018 Chevrolet Traverse- Video
What's up everybody, it's Ajay, with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna be checking out the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 on our 2018 Chevrolet Traverse. It's gonna be a good platform style bike rack, which means it's gonna hold the bike by the tire, which opens up to hold most different types of bikes. We have a carbon fiber one right on here right now. If it was a center mast one, then the hook that came down and touched the frame, we wouldn't be putting this on there, because we don't wanna damage this frame at all. It could easily be dented or scratched. more

So this is gonna need a two inch hitch receiver for you to be able to use this. We are gonna have a inch and a quarter hitch option for this bike rack. So you can go ahead and pick whatever one is gonna be best for you. And they do come in a decent amount of colors. more

Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2017 Chevrolet Equinox- Video
What's going on, everybody Adam here with etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Kuat transfer on our 2017 Chevrolet Equinox. This is going to be able to go into your two-inch hitch receiver and also 1 1/4. You can use a class one, or higher, which is awesome. So, the nice thing about this is, we're gonna be able to have 60 pounds per bike. Obviously, our carbon fiber frame bike isn't that heavy, but it is going to be good for those too, as it has a wheel hook. more

Now as you can see, this is going to be a great way of getting those bikes for the entire family or some of our friends on the road with us, and doing it in a nice, efficient way. Taking a look here, you can see we do have some frame contact. So if you are looking for way of getting those carbon frame bikes on the road with you, unfortunately, this will not be the best option for you, as our frame will deteriorate, since we have pressure on that frame. more
