Start by removing these and we can place our bike off to the side. With that out of the way I always suggest that you replace your straps so you don't lose or damage them and now we'll take a few measurements. First being overall we're adding to our vehicle, we're adding about 19", to reduce that for close quarters situations like parking, we'll come up here and lift up on our gray lever, rotate those arms down, and we'll lock them in place. more

Today on this 2015 Honda CRV, we're going to do a test fit of the Saris Bones 3 bicycle rack, Part Number SA801. All right, we have our bicycle already loaded up on the bike rack. We'll go ahead and cover the points of contact. On the top tube of our bike, we've got the straps that are ratchet straps that go around the top tube, one to the left and one to the right. Also on our seat tube down here on the bottom, we have an anti-sway strap as well. This will hold your bike in place and keep it from moving around. Let's go ahead and take off the bike, and we'll go ahead and see the rest of the parts on our bicycle rack. To remove our bike, we'll push down on this tab on top and remove the strap, pick it up and work it off. more

We're first going to show you how we secure that down, and then we'll go over some features of the rack itself.
