CURT Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2023 Subaru Outback Wagon- Video

Hi everyone, Aidan here at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Curt Premium hanging-style bike rack, and seeing how it fits on our 2023 Subaru Outback. This hanging style-bike rack holds the bike by the frame, and let the rest of the bike hang down below it. It's got three points of contact, two straps up top, and a third one on the side here, to limit our side-to-side movement and bike-to-bike contact. Now, I will say that this type of strap, the stretchy rubber material, although it is kind of nice for just weather resistance and ease of use, it's not the most secure, and there is still quite a bit of side-to-side movement with the bike. But, you can always add an extra strap after the fact to help cinch things down. more

So the Destination Four is one of my favorite racks when it comes to carrying around a lot of bikes without taking a lot of space and without spending a lot of money because this is gonna be a quick and easy way to get bikes of different shapes and sizes and, from experience, I do know that it works really well with your smaller children's bikes as well. So if you want to upgrade from your hanging rack and you want more stability, I would highly recommend looking at the Destination Four. There are some downsides to this rack though and with the Ford Edge, we're gonna talk about that. The main downside is that you cannot tilt this rack away. more

Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we have the Skaha Plus Bike Rack for four bikes and we'll take a look at how it fits our 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer. So this is the Skaha 2 Plus with the two bike add on and this allows you to carry up to four bikes with a weight capacity of 180 pounds total for all four bikes. So with that in mind, yes, it creates a nice solid platform for multiple bikes, but it also adds a lot of space. It does require a little bit of work to put those bikes on and off as well as the bike rack. So we are gonna talk about that focusing on our trailblazer here. Now the first thing to think about is gonna be your clearance because the recommended ground clearance for this bike rack is at least 14 inches. more

Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we have the Hollywood Racks Destination E, two bike platform rack for your heavy electric bikes. We'll take a look at how it fits our 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The Destination E is really designed for those electric bikes. It have an included ramp, which makes it easier to ramp the bikes up and onto your hitch receiver. Now with the Trailblazer, since the hitch receiver isn't that high up off the ground, that actually makes it easier for the ramp, since you have a shallower angle, just make sure if you have that two-inch hitch receiver to support that extra weight, since you have a weight capacity of 70 pounds per bike. Now, one feature that is pretty unique as well to this rack is the Tilt-Away feature. more

Now the Piston is going to be a really premium bike rack. Lot of really nice features with it and some pretty unique ones too. It's not gonna be for everyone, but if you're looking for something that's gonna be very unique, easy to use, then this is your option right here. Yakima Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2020 Ford F-150- Video

Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima OnRamp and seeing how it fits in the back of our 2020 Ford F-150. This platform style bike rack is gonna be able to support up to two bikes and be designed to carry e-bikes. It's got a 66 pound weight capacity per bike and holds the bike by clamping around the frame. We've got this piece right here which slides up and down the mast, easier to move if you loosen the hand knob, and can rotate around to adapt to different frame styles. This strap will wrap around the frame and hold it into the padded cradle right here. more

Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe- Video

Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we'll be taking a look at how the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 two-bike platform rack fits on the 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe. So the Sherpa is very popular because it is a stylish rack, it has really smooth movements, and it can fit a lot of bikes. Now there are some downsides to this like if you have a very heavy electric bike, this has a max weight capacity of 40 pounds, but other than that, it's a really good fit for Hyundai Santa Fe and we'll talk about why. So the first thing we're gonna talk about is the tilt-away feature. There's gonna be this lever in the center of the rack. You're gonna pull that lever and just let the rack drop down to a tilt. more

The MonoRail is a two-bike platform-style bike rack capable of holding two bikes up to 60 pounds a piece, it's going to make primary contact with them with this wheel hook right here at the front as well as one strap down here at the back. No frame contact at all, so if you wanna mix and match, get your carbon frame bikes or nice paint job bikes on here, you can. Alternative frame bikes should work fine, again, just because we don't make any contact with the frame at all. Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 GMC Sierra 1500- Video

Hey, it's Ethan here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Swagman Chinook Two Bike Platform Rack and how it fits on our 2022 GMC Sierra 1500. It's gonna be able to support two bikes up to 45 pounds a piece, gonna hold onto them primarily with these frame hooks on our center mast, as well as two straps, one on the back tire and one on the front. So because it does make that frame contact, we'd recommend not using this with carbon frame bikes 'cause it could potentially damage your frame while you're driving. Also, if you have a really aggressive alternative frame style bike, you might have to pick up a bike adapter bar to make it work. But one of the first things that we'd like to show off about this rack is that it does have the ability to tilt away with the bike loaded up. more
