Now with a Kuat Piston Pro, it's gonna be an impressive bike rack. It has its one tap piston that secure your bikes by its front and rear wheels, making it easier to load and unload those bikes and it looks pretty cool. But it's also pretty heavy. So fortunately for the Durango, it does have that weight capacity to carry the bike rack and the bikes. more

So with this bike rack, this is gonna be a popular entry-level Kuat rack, which allows you to carry up to three bikes. Plus, it has that unique goalpost design that makes it easier to load and unload your bikes. Plus, it takes up less space when in the compact position. The downside, though, for our Durango is because you have a larger hatch and the transfer doesn't really tilt that far down, you won't be able to fully open it up. Hi everyone, Aiden here with E-trailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Destination E-bike rack, and seeing how it fits on the back of our 2023 Toyota Rav4. This is gonna be a great option to carry your E-bikes if you need something that's going to be easy to use. Now it does have a lot of touch points, a lot of little straps and things to hold the bike in place, so that can be a little bit unfriendly at first while you're getting used to the bike rack. But I think it does a number of things really well. It holds the bike in place really solidly, that grants it a 70 pound weight capacity per bike. more

Hey, everybody, Cooper here at etrailer. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Kuat Piston Pro on our 2023 Toyota RAV4. Now, the Piston Pro is going to be a platform-style bike rack, able to accommodate up to two bikes with an individual weight capacity of 67 pounds each. Our two main points of contact are going to be on our front and back tire, this dual wheel mount design that have two ratcheting arms that hold it by the tires. So what all that means together is that we're going to be able to accommodate a wide variety of bikes, whether it's an e-bike, a carbon frame bike, or even our alternative frame bikes. One thing really nice about the Piston Pro is it does come with a tilt away feature, has a lever that sits in the middle of the rack, and as we slowly tilt our rack away from our vehicle, we do have the full hatch access. more

Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2023 Toyota RAV4 HR4000- Video
Hey, everybody, Cooper here from etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Destination 4 on our 2023 Toyota RAV4. Now the Destination series of bike racks is actually going to be my preferred series of bike racks when it comes to entry-level, and the Destination 4 actually does a really good job at holding up to four bikes individually, with a individual weight capacity of 35 pounds each. Because it is a more entry-level bike rack, it does lack some of the advanced features, like a tilt-away, and other things that we'll get into a little bit later. But overall, I am very happy with the rack itself. It's a very easy way just to throw on four bikes and hit the road. more

Hi everyone, Aidan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima FullTilt hanging style bike rack and seeing how it fits on the back of our 2022 Kia Carnival. This is gonna be a bike rack capable of carrying up to five bikes, which for your Carnival could be a very good thing. Most bike racks that mount to your hitch do max out at around four bikes. So this one does have a leg up over the competition just a little bit. And it is going to lend itself really well towards families because if you've got bike adapter bars to make sure that those kids bikes fit over those arms, it's gonna be a really great way to carry all those bikes with you. more

Hi everyone, Aidan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Kuat Transfer V2 Three Bike Rack and seeing how it fits on the back of our 2022 Kia Carnival. This is gonna be a platform style bike rack that can hold up to three bikes and it's going to be one that holds a bike by the tire using a front wheel hook at the front, and a wheel strap down at the bottom at the back. That means that when we're holding the bike, we're not touching the frame at all, making this a good option for carbon frame bikes and alternative frame bikes. And it does a pretty good job at getting a strong hold on the bike, but with the weight capacity, you're gonna run into a little bit of a limitation. It can only support 40 pounds per bike. more

We've got a front wheel hook and a back wheel strap, meaning that there's zero frame contact, making this a good option for carbon frame and alternative frame bikes. And with the 60 pound weight capacity per bike it can handle some e-bikes too. more

Hi, everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we have the Kuat Transfer V2 Three-Bike Platform Rack. We'll take a look at how it fits our 2023 Hyundai Palisade. So the Transfer V2 is a popular rack because it is a Kuat Transfer Rack, which many people like for its design as well as stability, but this is gonna be a more entry level, but also with a unique feature where you can make it easier for you to load and unload your bikes. There are some downsides to this rack though especially with the Hyundai Palisade. For example, the Palisade does have a large hatch and the Transfer has a pretty shallow level of tilt away. So if I needed to tilt the bike rack away and I wanted to get into the hatch, notice here that with only one bike loaded, I can put these arms off to the side. more

The Destination E is going to be a platform style bike rack able to accommodate up to two bikes, with a very impressive weight capacity of up to 70 pounds, which means that we're going to be able to carry our heavy electric E-bikes which is kind of the main draw, and a lot of the features are built around that idea here with the Hollywood Racks Destination E. As we can see, our main point of contact is going to be on the frame here. So unfortunately, our carbon frame bikes are not really going to be an option available for this rack. But depending on your alternative frame bike, you might be able to adjust the knob to clamp on or if you get some sort of bike adapter part, we could easily accommodate for that. more

RockyMounts Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2021 Ford Ranger- Video
Hey everybody, Cooper here at etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the RockyMounts GuideRail on our 2021 Ford Ranger. Now the GuideRail is going to be a platform-style bike rack, with a individual weight capacity for 60 pounds per bike, which is really nice, meaning that our heavier bikes and our electric bikes are going to be an option for this rack. Our two main points of contact are also two ratcheting arms one for the front wheel and one for the back wheel, meaning we are making no frame contact, which also means that our carbon frame bikes and our alternative frame bikes are going to be an option for this rack too. So the amount of different bikes that this rack can carry is a big diverse amount, but how does it really operate with our Ranger Well, the GuideRail has a tilt-away feature that if we pull this handle right here, it'll actually tilt down. And surprisingly enough, with our Ranger here, we can actually lower our tailgate and it does not make any contact. more

Yakima Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2023 Nissan Titan- Video
Hi everyone, Aiden here with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima FullTilt hanging style bike rack and seeing how it fits on the back of our 2023 Nissan Titan. This is gonna be a hanging style rack, that can support up to five bikes. They are adjustable, so these cradles that actually hold the bikes in, can be moved back and forth along the arms to adjust for spacing. And because it's a hanging style bike rack there are gonna be a few limitations to keep in mind right out of the gate. Carbon frame is gonna be a no-go, because it is hanging by the frame, so frame contact isn't gonna be good for those. more

Hi everyone, Aiden here at etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Destination E-bike Rack, and seeing how it fits on the back of our 2023 Nissan Titan. This is going to be a platform style bike rack aimed at carrying e-bikes. It has a 70 pound weight capacity per bike, so, good at carrying some of the heavier e-bikes and it's going to work great with bikes that have alternative frames, fenders, things like that because of the way it holds onto the bike. Three wheel straps at the bottom, pull it down and in, and also, keep that front tire from pivoting, but then, the frame clamp up top can rotate around 360 degrees to adapt to those alternative frames. And because we're not relying on wheel hooks for contact, it's fender friendly. more

Now, as far as hanging-style bike racks are concerned, the FullTilt is actually one of my personal favorite options, and that's because of all the features they're able to pack inside of it that we're gonna be able to take a look at as the video goes on. But, the first thing we wanna make sure we know is what kind of bikes can we carry. Well, the FullTilt's main point of contact is going to be on our frame, so that means, unfortunately, our carbon frame bikes are not going to be an option for this. If you do have an alternative frame bike, though, and do get a bike adapter bar, we are able to accommodate for those, as well as kids' bikes. more

Yakima Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited- Video
Hi, everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today, we have the Yakima StageTwo 2-Bike Platform Rack and we'll take a look at how it fits our 2019 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. So the StageTwo is definitely gonna be your heavy-duty, off-road bike rack, but also, with a really good weight capacity for heavy electric bikes. Now, talking about that though, we do have this on our Jeep Wrangler with a large spare tire, so what I had to do was I had to put a hitch extension, that way, the bike rack would sit further back and I'd be able to put it on that hitch receiver. So if you want to use a bike rack, you may need to get a hitch extension too, we have some options here at etrailer. The downside of those hitch extensions is it reduces your tongue weight capacity, and you're gonna have to get a special anti-rattle for it to be secure. But with all that in mind, let's focus on this StageTwo bike rack. more

RockyMounts Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2021 Jeep Wrangler- Video
Hey everybody, Cooper here at etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Rockymounts Afterparty on our 2021 Jeep Wrangler. Now to get in directly why we want this for the Jeep Wrangler and why this is such a good recommendation is the Rockymounts Afterparty actually comes with a swing away function. We found that most of our bike racks that have a tilt don't have enough an aggressive enough tilt to really open up on the hatch. So this swing way function is essentially going to help us correct that. Down here at the bottom of the rack, we do have this knob that when we loosen up, we are going to be able to pull a pin that is on the passenger side and go ahead and pull this away while also pivoting it. more

Yakima Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2021 Jeep Wrangler- Video
Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we have the Yakima FullTilt five bike hanging rack and we'll take a look at how it fits our 2021 Jeep Wrangler. So the Yakima FullTilt is the bike rack I would get if I had to get a hanging rack but I wanted one of the best ones. This is what I would get. It does have a lot of premium features that make it easier for you to load the bikes up, secure the bikes. And the downside though, is that even though it tilts away like its name says, with the Jeep Wrangler not really any hanging bike can tilt back far enough for you to reasonably open up that door. So with that in mind, if you wanted full door access, I'd recommend getting something like a hitch extender or a swing away hitch extender. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2021 Jeep Wrangler- Video
Hello everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today I have the Thule T2 Pro XTR two-bike platform rack and we'll take a look at how it fits our 2021 Jeep Wrangler. So the T2 Pro XTR, other than having a long name, does have some premium features that help out with carrying your bikes safely and securely. You have a good weight capacity of 60 pounds per bike, but I am using this bike rack with a hitch extender and that's because when we have that spare tire on, we have it folded up, it gets a little too close and we're not getting as good of a fit which is why we have an extender to push this out. Most of your bike racks with a Jeep Wrangler with a spare tire are going to need some kind of hitch extender if you want full use out of them. But having that extender has its downsides as well, like less hitch tongue weight capacity and it has a bit more movement if you don't get one with an anti-rattle feature. So with that in mind, let's focus on the features of the T2 Pro XTR. more

Saris Freedom Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2021 Jeep Wrangler- Video
Hi, everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today, I have the Saris Freedom 2-Bike Platform Rack, we'll take a look at how it fits our 2021 Jeep Wrangler. So the Saris Freedom is actually a really good fit with the Wrangler, because the spares tire limits the options for bike racks if you do not wanna use a hitch extender. So this sits pretty far back past its shank, which gives us that clearance to carry those two bikes. And if you wanna compare this with some other racks, well, this is gonna be on the still more affordable side while having a good weight capacity for electric bikes and some versatility for different sized and shaped bikes. So if you have say a large mountain bike and maybe a smaller road bike, this actually will work even better for you compared to the Saris SuperClamp, because this can go wherever while the SuperClamp wheel mounts are limited to each other. Now, focusing here on our Jeep, while we do have that clearance to add the bike on, we don't have as much clearance for things like tilting it away or opening up the door. more

And we'll take a look at how it fits our 2021 Jeep Wrangler. So the Destination E is really designed for electric bikes where you have an included ramp. Although the ramp's not attached to the rack you gotta keep it inside your vehicle and it has other features like adjustability for different types of frames. The downside though is that with how it fits on the Wrangler, it does not tilt down anywhere close to where you can open up the door. So the issue isn't the tilt, the issue is where this mast sits. more

It is gonna be a hanging style bike rack, capable of carrying up to four bikes and up to 35 pounds each, so a pretty good amount for most of our mountain bikes, road bikes. Just be mindful of it whenever you're loading it up that you don't exceed that. And a couple other limitations with it, because of the hanging rack and it makes contact with the frame of our bike, it's not gonna be the best fit for carbon frame bikes. more

Now one thing I wanna point out right out of the gate is that we are using this with a hitch extender. The bike rack just wasn't working without the hitch extender so what that is, it's just an extra piece that attaches in your hitch and extends it further from the vehicle. You can see it right down there. We're using the etrailer one right now and we're using about an eight inch extension. more

Hi everyone, Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Hollywood Rack's Destination four-bike rack and seeing how it fits on the back of our 2021 Jeep Wrangler. Now this is gonna be a platform-style bike rack, holding the bike by our frame, using this cradle with a strap around it, and then two additional wheel straps down to the bottom that pull the bike down and in. That method of holding the bike actually helps get a really solid hold on the rack, which is great. This is one of my favorite bike racks to recommend for people getting into biking and looking for their first bike rack, especially if they need something for their family, because this does accommodate kids' bikes exceptionally well. It works with alternative frames very well, too, because this cradle slides up and down the mast independently from each other and rotates 360 degrees to accommodate for those alternative frames. more

Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2021 Jeep Wrangler HLY94FR- Video
Hi everyone. Aiden here at the trailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Destination Two Bike Rack and seeing how it fits on the back of our 2021 Jeep Wrangler. Now this is gonna be a platform style bike rack and in my opinion, one of the best entry level options into the world of platform style bike racks that we offer. Great, because it's a good entry level price point, it's gonna be affordable for a lot of people but also it packs a lot of value. I think of the ones in its category it's going to be probably one of the easiest to use and very accommodating because it works great with alternative frame bikes and kids bikes and it has a 35 pound weight capacity. more

Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2021 Jeep Wrangler BA22B- Video
Hi, everyone. Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Kuat NV 2.0 Base. This is gonna be a platform-style bike rack that mounts up in our 2" x 2" receiver tube and we're gonna be seeing how it fits on our 2021 Jeep Wrangler. That's gonna be a really solid option for a more premium option of a bike rack, but still kind of in that range where it's pretty affordable for what it is. One of my personal favorites, just because it's simple, it's smooth and it works with a wide range of bikes. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2023 Honda Odyssey- Video
Hi, everyone, Aidan here at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Thule T2 Pro XTR and seeing how it fits on the back of our 2023 Honda Odyssey. This is gonna be a platform-style bike rack capable of carrying up to two bikes, it's gonna hold the bikes by the front tire using this wheel hook. You can see that the wheel hook is on either side and alternating directions, and because it holds the bike by the tire and not the frame, it's gonna be a great option for carbon frame bikes and alternative frame bikes. With a 60 pound weight capacity, excuse me, per bike, it's gonna be able to handle some e-bikes too. And not to mention, out of the box, this is ready to work with fat tire bikes and kids' bikes as well, so really, a wide range, really anything you could imagine. more

Yakima Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Jeep Wagoneer- Video
Hey, everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today, I have the Yakima StageTwo 2-Bike Platform Rack, which we'll take a look at on a 2022 Jeep Wagoneer. So the StageTwo has pretty impressive weight capacity of 70 pounds per bike, it has a lot of clearance for two bikes, so whether they're the same size or different, you know it's gonna fit. Plus, this is pretty sturdy. The downside to it is it is going to be pretty heavy, and on the Wagoneer, with it being so tall, that's also a lot of height you're gonna have to lift your 70 pound bike. So we'll talk about that, we'll take some measurements focusing on this car, but the first thing we'll do is we're going to tilt this away. So there's gonna be a handle at the end that you're gonna have to pull, and then you're gonna have to let that heavy weight of the bikes come down at you, so don't get hit. more

Saris Freedom Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Jeep Wagoneer- Video
Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we have the Saris Freedom Two Bike Platform Rack and we'll take a look at how it fits our 2022 Jeep Wagoneer. So the Freedom is going to be a steady bike rack, it's not gonna tilt away or anything like that, but it does have a lot of adjustability for different bikes of different shapes and sizes. It also has a weight capacity of 60 pounds per bike, which is pretty impressive for a lightweight bike rack like this. It definitely does have its downsides though. For example, with the Wagoneer, not being able to tilt away also means you can't open up the hatch unless you take the bike off. On the flip side, a lot of bike racks don't tilt the way far enough to open up the hatch anyways. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Jeep Wagoneer- Video
Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today I have the Swagman XC2 Two Bike Platform Rack and we'll take a look at how it fits our 2022 Jeep Wagoneer. So the XC2 is pretty popular because of how affordable an entry level it is, where you still get the stability of a platform rack without having to spend too much. So if you are looking for a bike rack where you don't have to pay extra for those bells and whistles that you may not need, this is the one that you would start with. But with this bike rack, of course, it also has its downsides, like you don't get those premium features like tilting away or included locks. And if you need one to secure your bikes and or your rack, those are things you'd have to purchase separately. Now talking about the Wagoneer though, with how it works with this vehicle, it actually creates a nice stable platform for your bikes to get them from point A to point B without too much extra work. more

RockyMounts Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Jeep Wagoneer- Video
Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today I have the RockyMounts GuideRail Two-Bike Rack and we'll take a look at how it fits our 2022 Jeep Wagoneer. So the GuideRail is usually one of my preferred bike racks because it's a dual wheel mount style bike rack which you can check out the comparison of that here at etrailer, and that makes it quicker and easier to carry around bikes, mount them and dismount them. Now, with how it fits on the Wagoneer, there's some perks and some downsides to it too. Perks are you do have a premium qualities you'd expect from a premium rack, like a heavy weight capacity. Downside is that it sits really high up on the Wagoneer. But, on another hand, you also have the features like it tilts away and it actually clears the Wagoneer's big hatch. more

Yakima Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Jeep Wagoneer Y36FR- Video
Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today I have the Yakima On-Ramp Two Bike Platform Rack and we'll take a look at how it fits the 2022 Jeep Wagoneer. So the On-Ramp is gonna be good for your heavy electric bikes because it has an included ramp that's actually attached to the rack which is good because other bike racks that have ramps have to be stored inside of the vehicle. Now with this too you can also carry your heavier electric bikes and is one of the few bike racks that tilts far enough away so that you have hatch clearance on the Wagoneer. It does have some downsides too like there's a lot of different levers and straps that you do have to deal with so it's not as quick and easy as the Kuat NV. So let's talk about that. When we're talking about levers and pins, if we wanna tilt this bike rack away there's two pins that you have to deal with. more

Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today I have the Hollywood Racks Destination 4 Bike Platform Rack and we'll take a look at how it fits our 2022 Jeep Wagoneer. The Destination 4 is great if you wanna carry around a lot of bikes without taking up a lot of space or spending a lot of money. It does have its pros where it can carry a variety of sizes of bikes. It can even fit your little kids' bikes and your larger mountain bikes or step through bikes but also has some downsides. Like it only has a 35 pound weight capacity per bike and it doesn't tilt away. But for how it fits on the Wagoneer, not tilting away is actually not a bad thing because most bike racks that do tilt away don't tilt away far enough for the hatch on the Wagoneer to open up fully. more

For an entry level rack, it's actually one of my favorites because it just gets the job done, plus it can fit a variety of bikes whether you're really small kids bikes or your larger step-through bikes even. Now it does have its downsides too like it can't tilt away, plus it has a maximum weight capacity of 35 pounds per bike. But for the Wagoneer, not being able to tilt away is actually not a bad thing because most bikes that do tilt away, don't tilt the away enough for the Wagoneer's large hatch. more
