Inno Roof Cargo Carrier Review - 2006 Toyota Prius- Video

Today on our 2006 Toyota Prius, we'll be doing a test fit of the Inno roof mounted cargo box. That's part number INBRA1170CA. To begin our test fit, as you can see I've already set the cargo on top of our roof rack system. Now for our Prius here today, as you can see, I've got the cargo box slid all the way forward so it will clear our antenna as well as clear our rear hatch. With that being done, let's go ahead and connect it to our roof rack system. I want to point out that it will fit most roof rack systems, your round, square, aero, elliptical and factory roof rack systems as well. We've opened it up, turned the key, pressed the button. more

First thing you're going to want to do is rotate it and place it up on the vehicle. You'll want to place it on your side or semi on it's side like this, once you get it up here to insure that all your feet are open and ready to receive your rails. Drop it down, and the easiest way I've found is come around to the back if you got long arms, pull it back to where you want it, it'll slide it right up onto the rails and all your feet are around then. From there, move over to the lock. more

Today we'll be taking a look at the Inno Gloss Black Cargo Box, part number INBRA1250BK. It's also available in silver, part number INBRA1250SV. The glossy black finish and aerodynamic design is going to add a stylish look to your vehicle while reducing wind noise and drag. It's made out of a three layer ABS plastic, so you can ensure that it's going to protect our cargo against the elements and road grim. We've got a nice handle here, so we can get easy access and we've got a lock so we can lock our cargo inside. It has a nice safety feature. When in the unlocked position, we can't remove our keys, so we know that we have to have it nice and tight and locked up before we can pull them out. One of the most excellent features about the Shadow series Inno Cargo Box is that we can open it from both sides. more

Now we'll go ahead and line it up where our clamps are going to come through. That looks pretty good there. Another thing I'd like to point is that we have removed the rear antenna of our vehicle for this cargo box to work. more
