Yakima Roof Bike Racks Review - 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek- Video
Today on our 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek, we're going to be test fitting the Yakima High Road Rooftop Bike Rack, part number Y02114. We already have a bike installed on our rack. Let's take a closer look and show off some of our features. Now how this bike is actually gripped to the bike rack, we're not going to have any frame contact at all, and we don't have to remove our front tire. Instead, it grips it by the front tire here and then it also attaches at the rear point with this wheel strap, and it is adjustable to accommodate bikes of different sizes. Now also we have this TorqueRight knob so once you tighten this down you'll hear two or three clicks like that to let you know that it's tightened enough and you don't want to over tighten it. With everything installed as it is right now, we can open up our rear hatch, and there's not going to be a clearance issue between our bike rack and the hatch as you can see here. more

Thule ProRide Roof Bike Rack for Fat Bikes Review- Video
Today we're going to be taking a look at the Thule ProRide Roof Bike Rack for Fat Bikes, part number TH598003-FB. The Thule ProRide enables you to carry one fat bike up on your roof with tire sizes up to 5 inches wide. It grips it by your bike's frame, and it has two ratcheting straps on either tire. It also has a torque limiting dial so you don't over-tighten it once you install it. It also has a knockout here for the Thule Lock Core, which is sold separately, so once you install it and lock it you can't tighten or loosen this, therefore your bike is secure to your bike rack. This can mount one of two ways. Right now we have it in the channel mount version. more

With everything installed as it is, we're not going to have any issues of clearance between the trunk and the bike rack itself, as you can see here. more

Thule ProRide Roof Bike Rack Review- Video
Today we're going to taking a look at the Thule Pro Ride Roof Bike Rack, which is a clamp on, or channel mount version, part number TH598003. The Thule Pro Ride is a roof bike rack that can carry up to one bike. It doesn't require any wheel removal, and it grips your bike by the frame. It also has wheel straps for both tires. To make sure we don't over torque our clamp onto our frame, we have this torque-limiting dial to tighten it down with. Also, we have this area here, which you can insert a lock core, so once this is tightened down, you can lock it into place, and secure your bike to the bike rack. The wheel straps are ratcheting wheel straps, meaning when you loosen them up a little bit, they'll ratchet it down into place. more

Rhino Rack Road-Warrior Roof Bike Racks Review - 2016 Toyota Camry- Video
Today on our 2016 Toyota Camry we're going to be test fitting the Rhino Rack Road Warrior Rooftop Bike Rack, part number RBC036. We already have a bike installed on the rack, let's take a closer look and show off some of the features. How the bike is attached to the rack, we're going to have two points of contact with no frame contact at all. We'll have a rear wheel strap which is adjustable along the bike rack to accommodate different sized bikes, and then up at the front we have this skewer mount which will grip your bike by the fork mounts. You will notice that the skewer mount does have a lock on it already, so once you put this into place and lock it, the bike will be secured to the bike rack. With everything installed as it is, we're not going to have any issues of clearance between the trunk and the bike rack as you can see here. Let's go ahead and take the bike off and set it down. We'll push this tab at the rear wheel strap to release it, then holding onto the bike so it doesn't fall onto the vehicle, we'll release our front skewer like so, and lift our bike up and off. How the bike attaches to the rack, we're going to have this bracket here with the turn knobs to kind of sandwich the bike rack and the bracket over our rear crossbar. more

On the front of the skewer mount, you'll see that it does have a lock already attacked, so once you secure that, your bike is going to be secure to your bike rack. With the bike sitting as it is, there's not going to be any issues of clearance between the trunk and the bike rack, as you can see here. Let's go ahead and take the bike off, and set it aside. Today on our 2017 Nissan Maxima we're going to be taking a look at the Thule Circuit XT roof bike rack, part number TH526XT. Now as you can see, we already have our bike securely mounted to the rack. Now there's going to be no frame contact. You're going to have two points of contact, one back here on the wheel, which you do have a padded strap here so you don't have to worry about any damage to your wheels or anything else. Today on our 2017 Nissan Maxima we're going to be taking a look at the Rhino-Rack MountainTrail rooftop bike carrier, part number RBC035. Now we already have our bike up here and we'll go ahead and show you how it goes on. There's not going to be any frame contact, so you don't have to worry about your bike being scratched. On the rear, we have one wheel strap. To take it off, simply push in on the tab and feed the strap out. Now here on the front we have a cam-style action lever; quick-releases the bike from the skewers, and we can pull it right off. Now I do want to mention that, along with the mounting hardware, where the bikes mounts to the rack, it is fully adjustable so it can accommodate different length bikes. more

Inno Roof Bike Racks Review - 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe- Video
Today on our 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe we're going to be test fitting the Inno Tire Hold II Bike Rack, part number INA389. We already have our bike installed on the rack. Let's go ahead and take a closer look, and show off some of the features. How the bike is actually attached to the rack, we're not going to have any frame contact. Instead, we're going to have these two tire holds on both tires to hold it into place. Now this is pretty unique compared to other bike racks as they usually have you remove the front tire to attach them. It does have a locking mechanism up here, so once you install this, this is actually going to be secured to the .. The bike, excuse me, is going to be secured to the bike rack, and because our front portion here, or excuse me, our rear crossbar portion here is blocked, you can't actually removed this either, so it's secured to the roof rack as well. more

We're going to have this padded wheel hook up at the top here, and these points here which gives us its name, the brass knuckles to tighten it down, and then we have these two wheel straps at the front and the rear. Kuat TRIO Roof Bike Racks Review - 2017 Nissan Altima- Video
Today on our 2017 Nissan Altima we're going to be test fitting the Kuat Trio Roof Bike Rack, part number TR02. We already have a bike installed on the rack, let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. How this attaches to the rack, we're going to have two points of contact with no frame contact at all. Instead it's going to grip it with this skewer at the front here by your fork mounts, and then we're also going to have this wheel strap at the rear. The wheel strap is adjustable along the length of the bike rack to accommodate different size bikes. With the bike rack in its current position we're not going to have any clearance issues between the trunk and the bike rack itself as you can see here. Let's go ahead and take the bike off and set it side. more

Rhino Rack Road-Warrior Roof Bike Racks Review - 2017 Nissan Altima- Video
Today in our 2017 Nissan Altima we're gonna be test fitting the Rhino-Rack Road Warrior Rooftop Bike Rack, part number RDC036. Now we already have our bike installed on the rack. Let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. As you can see one of the biggest features is there's gonna be no frame contact whatsoever once you attach this to your bike rack. Instead we have this skewer here at the front that's gonna grip your bike by its fork mounts. Then we're gonna have this rear wheel strap here, which is adjustable along the length of the bike rack to accommodate different sized bikes. Now with our bike attached here, as you can see there's not gonna be any interference whatsoever between the trunk itself and the bike rack. RockyMounts Roof Bike Racks Review - 2017 Jeep Cherokee- Video
Today, on our 2017 Jeep Cherokee, we're doing a test fit of the Rocky Mounts JetLine Roof Mounted Bike Rack. That part number is RKY1320. We already have our bike secured down, we're first going to show you how we do that. Here at the back, we have a cam buckle strap. That's quick and easy to remove and it adjusts up and down the length of our bike rack to accommodate different bikes. Here at the front, we have a skewer. This does have the option to put a lock on it, and then at the side we'll have that hook that needs to sit in front of our fork whenever we have that secured down. more

Today in our 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek, we're going to be test fitting the RockyMounts SwitchHitter rooftop bike rack, part number RKY1270. We already have our bike installed on the rack. Let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. Now the most prominent feature of this bike rack is that it doesn't grip it by your frame at all. Instead it grips it by two other points. We're going to have the skewer here at the front, which will grip your bike by the forks, but this can also work with through axles as well. At the rear, we have this wheel strap, which is adjustable along the bike rack itself to accommodate different sized bikes. If you move to the rear here, I'd just like to show you that, on this particular model of vehicle, you're not going to have any clearance issues between the hatch itself and the bike rack itself. more

Today on our 2016 GMC Yukon we're doing a test fit of the RockyMounts JetLine roof-mounted bike rack. That part number is RKY1320. Now we already have our bike secured down to our rack. We're going to first show you our hatch clearance back here. Opening up our cargo door, you'll see that we're going to have plenty of room in between our bike rack and our door, so we're not going to have to worry about that making contact. Even if we had a longer bike or we had that bike rack moved back a little further, we won't have to worry about any contact. As for how our bike is secured down, here at the back we have a cam buckle strap. more

Today on our 2016 GMC Yukon, we're doing a test fit of the Thule Circuit XT roof mounted bike rack. That part number is TH526XT. Now, we already have our bike secured down. We're first gonnashow you one of the key features of this rack. We're gonna open up our hatch back here. Rhino Rack MountainTrail Roof Bike Racks Review - 2016 GMC Yukon- Video
Today on our 2016 GMC Yukon, we're doing a test fit of the Rhino Rack Mountain Trail roof top bike rack. That part number is RBC035. Now we already have out bike secured down, we're first going to show you one great feature about this rack. We're going to open up our back hatch here and you'll see we'll have plenty of clearance that we don't have to worry about that making contact, which means we can still gain access into our back hatch area. Now because this is a fixed mount cross bar, where we secure it to our vehicle, even if we had it set on the back mount and we had a little bit of a bigger bike, we shouldn't have to worry about that making contact at all. Now we'll take a look at how our bike is secured down, starting off in the back. We have a Cam buckle strap that's quick and easy to remove, and the great thing about this Cam buckle strap, is that we can move it up and down the length of our bike rack to accommodate different bikes. In the front, we have a locking skewer. more
