We're gonna take a look at how it fits our 2022 Honda CR-V Now, the Swagman XC 2 is actually really popular with the CR-V owners because it's gonna be the quickest and most affordable way to get into the platform rack space. So if you have a two inch or inch and a quarter hitch receiver on your CR-V, and you want something that has a bit more stability than a hanging rack but isn't that pricey, that's where the XC 2 comes in handy. So it does a decent job at making sure your bike is steady as you drive around. It's not swinging around, but it also has its downsides like its very limited features. So that comes in so be mindful. more

Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Honda CR-V- Video
Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we have the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE 4 bike platform rack. We're gonna take a look at how it fits our 2022 Honda CR-V. So right off the bat, you're gonna need a hitch receiver on your CR-V, a two inch hitch receiver if you wanna carry this bike rack. This is gonna be a two plus two rack, so you can quickly remove this extension if you wanna convert it back to a two bike rack or add the extension if you wanted to turn it into a four bike platform rack. It is on the heavier side. I would recommend having a friend help you out with installing it. more

Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2023 Subaru Impreza- Video
Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer. And today we have the Hollywood Racks Destination 4, and we're gonna take a look at how it fits our 2023 Subaru Impreza. So the Destination 4 is one of my favorite bike racks because it can carry around four bikes, it's compact, it's lightweight, and it's affordable. Now, it also has its downside though, which is it has a maximum weight capacity of 35 pounds per bike, plus it does not tilt away. So if you have extra heavy electric bikes over 35 pounds, I do recommend taking a look at something else. Those are gonna be more premium racks though, like the Saris MHS might be your best bet. more

Hi everyone, It's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we have the Kuat Piston Pro Three Bike Platform Rack. We'll take a look at how it fits our 2023 Audi SQ5. So with this bike rack, you have a really cool dual-wheel mount system, where you just hit the pistons (pistons clicking) and the mount goes up (mount clicks) and you're ready to load your bike. When you load your bike on there, (mount clicking) just bring it in, and you secure the bike by the front and the rear wheels. If you're familiar with the Kuat Piston Pro X, the main difference between the X and this one is the Kashima Coating as well as the wiring and taillights that the Pro X has and this one has not. But other than that, you have the really cool benefits of having a very easy-to-use bike rack. more

The destination is actually one of my favorite four bike platform racks. One, because it's at a really good entry level price, but even with that, it has a bunch of just solid fundamental features that make it easier to carry around multiple bikes without taking up too much time or too much carrying. This is gonna be a very lightweight rack that's also very compact. So, as cool as that all sounds, the downside to it though is it does not tilt away, it doesn't have an electric bike weight capacity, and you do have to be mindful that it does take a bunch of different steps to fully secure your bike and figuring that out the first time can be a little tricky. more

Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz- Video
Hi, Matt with etrailer. Today we're talking about the Kuat NV 2.0 Bike Rack on the 2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz. Now typically I'd recommend a tailgate pad for anything with a bed on it, but in our case, the Santa Cruz has a smaller bed, so it's not gonna be able to accommodate a lot of different bike sizes. So I'd recommend a hitch bike rack, like the one we're talking about today, it's gonna be one of our more premium options, and what I like about it is how versatile it is. What makes it so versatile is its ability to hold up the 60 pounds per bike, holding two bikes, so that you're gonna be able to hold your heavy e-bikes. And we're gonna have two tie-down points, one being our strap on the back tire, and then we're gonna have this ratcheting hook on the front tire. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2021 Chevrolet Equinox- Video
Hi, everyone. Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Swagman XC2 two bike rack and seeing how it fits on the back of this 2021 Chevrolet Equinox. Now the XC2 is gonna be a platform style bike rack holding the bike in these wheel hoops at the bottom and primarily keeping it still with our frame hook up top. That's going to press the bike down into those wheel hoops and keep it secure. Now this is going to be able to handle 35 pounds per bike and because it makes the contact of the frame it isn't the best fit for carbon frame bikes and for alternative frame bikes you're gonna need a bike adapter bar because this hook needs somewhere relatively flat to grab onto to get a good hold on the bike. more

Hi, I'm Matt with etrailer. Today we're gonna be talking about the Hollywood Racks SE Sport Rider for four bikes on the 2023 Toyota Highland. Now, this is gonna be a great choice if you go riding with a bunch of friends and need to haul those heavier like e-bikes, since it can haul four bikes up to 50 pounds each. Another thing to note is we're gonna have three tight on points. We're gonna have one on each tire using this hook and loop strap and then one at the top of the frame here using just this hook. This is gonna be a versatile bike rack that has different features so you can carry bikes of different shapes and different sizes but it also has some other features that may look different from other bike racks. So the main thing about the Thule Epos is its versatility where you have your mast that can be moved around on your frames or your wheels and you also have different straps and that way you can adjust your bikes back and forth whenever you carry multiple bikes. That's a lot of factors that you have to deal with. And then the bike is being held upright by our frame cradle here with a strapper on the frame. more

Hi everyone, Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Hollywood Rack's Destination E-bike rack, and seeing how it fits in the back of our 2023 Hyundai Palisade. This is gonna be an excellent option for carrying your E-bikes because it has a 70 pound capacity per bike, so good for some heavier E-bikes. And one of my favorite things about this is how easy it's to operate, anywhere from the tilting to the included ramp that we'll all see in a bit. I do wanna talk about some of the bikes this we'll work with besides E-bikes because it does have a clamp that holds onto the frame up top here. It's not gonna be the best fit for carbon frame bikes, but because that clamp can move around and rotate 360 degrees, it's gonna work fine for any alternative frame bikes. more

Great if you're the type of person that forgets to bring the ramp like I am and it is popular for the reasons of that ramp being able to adjust this and having a lot of versatility for how it secures the bikes. Now for the Subaru Ascent though we're gonna talk about how it fits with this vehicle. I personally think it's a great fit, especially since the height of the hitch on the Ascent makes it pretty necessary for ramps for those heavier bikes. more

Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at Etrailer, and today, we have the Swagman XC 2 two bike platform rack. We'll take a look at how it fits on our 2022 Hyundai Tucson. Now, with the Swagman XC 2, it's actually really popular as a bike rack, mainly because it's an entry level rack, so entry level price, very affordable, but it gives you the stability of having a platform rack. Now, when you do use it with different vehicles, it works differently too, and the main thing here with the Tucson is with the hitch on this, I could not get this bike onto the closest tray without the pedals hitting the bumper or the door. So my clearance was very limited, so that's somethin' to be mindful. Now, if you have the smaller pedals, and we have those clip shoes, then you might be fine, but that's just somethin' to give you as a heads up. more

So, this is gonna be a pretty impressive bike rack. It's a large rack that's for sure, and it can carry four bikes, but it also has the Kuat at one touch pistons to make it quick and easy to load and unload those bikes. So, you just press a button and the arms swing up just like that, that's a pretty cool factor for when you're on the trails, and at the parking lot, and you're ready to grab your bikes and go. But there's some things you have to consider when you use this with the Ascent. One of the main things I've noticed with this bike rack is that the Ascent has a lot of ground clearance, the hitch sits really high off of the ground. more

Also, it is a more entry-level bike rack, if you like a Kuat rack 'cause they're really good at making racks, but you don't wanna pay that premium price as you would for a Kuat NV, the Kuat Transfer is a great alternative. Now, for the Tucson, there are some things though that are worth considering. One is that the Transfer does not tilt down very far. more

So the Kuat Transfer is pretty popular for the reasons of it's a good premium rack without being as much of a premium price as the Kuat NV. So if you like Kuat bike racks, but you're looking for something that's maybe slightly more affordable that's where the Kuat Transfer comes in handy. Also, it has a unique goalpost design that makes it easier for you to grab your bikes and load them up as well as once it's in the compact position then you have more visibility behind your vehicle. But with how it works on the Subaru Ascent unfortunately this bike rack does not tilt down far enough away for you to fully open up your hatch door. So if that's a very important feature for you this might not be the best fit for you and I have some suggestions as alternatives if you stick around for the end of this video but first, I'll show you what I mean. more

RockyMounts Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2023 Jeep Gladiator- Video
Hi everybody, Cooper here from etrailer. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the RockyMounts AfterParty on the back of our 2023 Jeep Gladiator. Now, the AfterParty is going to be a pretty premium bike rack, but it has some really nice premium features to match. One thing that works really well with the Gladiator is that we actually have an integrated swing away function. So, we just go ahead and loosen this lever here, make sure that we unthread it all the way. And once we have it unthread, we just can go ahead and pull a pin here on the back allowing us to swing the whole entire bike rack away. more

Hi, everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today, we have the Hollywood Racks Destination 2-Bike Platform Rack. We'll take a look at how it fits on our 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer. So Destination 2 is actually gonna be one of my favorite affordable or entry-level bike racks, because even though it is missing out on some premium features like tilting away or integrated cable locks, it still has a lot of the good foundations to a solid platform rack. So we'll talk about that, but we're gonna focus on the Trailblazer. One main thing I'd like to say though, is with it folded up or even with the mast up, you can open up the hatch, so that's pretty cool, so stick around for that. Hey everybody, Cooper here at etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the RockyMounts GuideRail on our 2023 Kia Telluride. Now the GuideRail is going to be a platform style bike rack, able to accommodate up to two bikes with a individual weight capacity of 60 pounds each. Our two main points of contact are going to be two rationing arms, one here on our back tire and one here on our front tire. Now, what that means altogether is we are making no frame contact, meaning we can accommodate those carbon frame bikes and those alternative frame bikes, and due to the heavy weight capacity that we have available to us we can carry around our heavier electric e-bikes. The GuideRail also is a more premium style bike rack and does come with some really cool features like the tilt away. more

Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2023 Kia Telluride- Video
Hey everybody, Cooper here at Etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Kuat transfer on the back of our 2023 Kia Telluride. Now the transfer is going to be a platform style bike rack, able to accommodate up to three bikes with a individual weight capacity of 40 pounds each. There's gonna be two main points of contact per bike, the front being a wheel hook here and the back being a strap that just simply wraps around our back tire. What that all means together is while we can accommodate for those carbon frame bikes and those alternative frame bikes, unfortunately we do not have a heavy enough capacity per bike to accommodate for those heavier electric e-bikes. Now the transfer does have a very unique, almost goal shaped post design. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2018 Toyota Camry- Video
Hey, everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today, we have the Swagman Current 2-Bike Platform Rack, and we'll take a look at how it fits our 2018 Toyota Camry. Right off the bat, if you wanna carry around extra heavy electric bikes, I know your options are limited with the Camry, because you have an inch and a quarter hitch receiver. So whenever you do have to carry those heavy bikes, please double check their weight, see if you can take off the batteries, if they are removable, also, better for the battery life to do that and keep them in your car, and make sure you don't exceed your tongue weight capacity. So with that being said, the Swagman Current will help you out with carrying around those bikes. This is designed to fit in those inch and a quarter hitches, you do have some premium features here to make it easier to live with heavy bikes, one of them is gonna be it has a tilt away lever. That bright green lever, if you pull that or I guess lift it, you can drop this rack down to a tilt, and that allows you to open up the trunk. more

Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2018 Toyota Camry- Video
Hi, everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we have the Hollywood Racks Destination 2 bike platform rack and we'll take a look at how it fits our 2018 Toyota Camry. So right off the bat, we did put a hitch receiver on this Camry in order to carry around a hitch-mounted bike rack like this. It was an inch and a quarter hitch, which kind of limited our options, but even then, the Hollywood Racks Destination 2 is a great match. It's lightweight, it's affordable, and it has that nice platform rack design which gives you that extra stability. So compared to hanging racks, your bikes are gonna be a lot more stable on this rack. Now, since it is an entry level bike rack though, you do lose out on some premium features you expect with the more premium racks. more

Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Honda CR-V- Video
Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we have the Kuat Transfer V2 three-bike platform rack, and we'll take a look at how it fits our 2022 Honda CR-V. So the Transfer is unique because you can carry around multiple bikes, but it still has this open space in the middle to make it easier to load those bikes up. And if you have it folded up against the CR-V, you still have a lot of visibility in the back. So focusing on this bike rack with this car, first, we're going to tilt it away. So if you needed to open up your hatch and grab whatever you needed, what I do is I put the arms up to the side that way it can step into that goal post design, and then it's easier to hit that lever to bring the rack down. Unfortunately though, because the Transfer doesn't tilt down that much, if you did want to open up the hatch fully on the CR-V, we are not able to do so. more

The GuideRail does also have a tilt away feature where we're just going to pull the lever located at the bottom of the rack and then slowly tilt it down allowing us that full hatch access. more
