This can be used in a lot of different applications, whether it's on your boat to lift up your hatch or another compartment or on your RV to lift up any kind of storage compartment or basement compartment. This helps to hold that door open or that lid or compartment open so that you can get in there, get your equipment or your luggage, or do any kind of maintenance without that door constantly coming down on you or you having to hold it up with one hand so it makes life a little bit easier to have that working.Maybe your original strut got bent somewhere along the way or it's just not lifting like it should so hence needing to replace it. This particular gas strut is going to measure 28 inches long and it has a force of 30 pounds. So let's take a little closer look at it. We have our two ends that are going to be 13 millimeter ball sockets, you can kind of see that there. more

This is going to be a 12 inch long, 20 pound force, gas strut replace one that's gone bad on your compartment door, whether that's on your boat, or your RV, or on your vehicle of any type. This is going to be the replacement that you need to make sure that that door is held up and not bonking you in the head when you're trying to load in equipment or get stuff out.So it's pretty simple, it does have a ball and socket style end. So it's going to go over a socket stud. So you can see those here, the socket style on either end. Again this measures 12 inches long, that's going to go from the center of each attachment point to the same spot on either side. more
