Rhino Rack Roof Basket Review - 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek RMCB02- Video
Today on our 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek, we're going to be test fitting the Rhino-Rack Rooftop Cargo Basket, part number RMCB02. This is 57 inches long by 42 inches wide by 5 7/8 inches tall, with interior dimensions of 53 inches by 39 1/4 inches on the inside. This does have a 165 pounds of carrying capacity, although you want to double-check with your vehicle's manufacturer's manual to make sure they can withstand that kind of weight up on the top. The mounting kit, here at the roof rack, they fit a wide variety of bars, anything from arrow, elliptical, round, square, or even some factory crossbars. This will not work, though, with the Rhino Rack heavy duty bars. It simply just wraps around here. It has this nice padded bottom, here, so your roof rack won't get scratched up once it gets installed. Then we have this plate and 2 screws up at the top, and that secures it to your roof rack. This is going to be great for storing your camping, your sporting goods gear or your luggage or anything wet to keep it out of the vehicle and make more space for you and your family as you travel. more

Thule Roof Basket Review - 2012 Toyota 4Runner- Video
Today on our 2012 Toyota 4 Runner we'll be doing a test fit on the Thule Canyon XT Roof Cargo Basket with extension. That's part number TH859XT-8591XT. It measures 69 inches long, 40 inches wide, by 6 inches deep. You also have the option to remove the center extension which will reduce the whole total length by 20 inches. So if you chose not to have something as long you have the option to take that out. A few other feature to point out about this cargo basket, it's low profile rather than that boxier look that most cargo baskets have. more

This has a carrying capacity of 150 pounds so that you want to double check with your vehicle's manual to make sure it can withstand that weight. It measures 41 1/2 inches long by 37 inches wide by 4 inches deep. How it grips around the actual crossbars, we have these rubber coated U-bolts and these knobs here on the top that you'll just simply tighten down. With the last one open, we'll go ahead and show you how that works. One of the great things about this cargo basket is it provides you the ability to put up camping equipment, sporting equipment, even luggage to free up space on the inside for your family and it makes things a little bit easier to move around inside. This also does offer an extension should you need to carry more equipment on top. more

It has a fairing screwed to the front here, that's going to cut down the wind noise and drag while you're driving. Let's go ahead and show you how it attaches. We already have almost all of the mounting points installed, except for this last one here on the driver's side. How it works is this plastic piece here is going to snap into the actual carrier itself, then we'll take this metal plate which sets on top, then take our u-bolt with this rubber coating on it so it won't scratch up your roof rack. more

Today on our 2010 Honda Odyssey we're doing a test fit of the CURT roof mounted cargo basket. This is 41 and 1/2 inches long, by 37 inches wide, and 4 inches deep. The part number for that is C18115. Now, keep in mind that this has a 150 pound weight capacity. Although you do want to check your vehicles owner's manual to make sure it can withstand that much weight. We have our basket mounted up. It's going to fit crossbars up to 3 inches wide, and it will fit crossbars with 3 different crossbar spreads; either 15 inches, 22, or 29 inches. Keep that in mind whenever you're loading up your crossbars, that you do want to have one of those three different settings. We have 3 of our 4 mounts secured down. more

To begin our test fit, I'd like to point out that in addition to fitting our aero-style crossbars, it's going to fit the elliptical style and most factory roof rack systems as well. Kuat Roof Cargo Carrier Review - 2013 Ford Escape- Video
Today on this 2013 Ford Escape we're going to be test fitting the Kuat Skinny Roof Cargo Basket and Bike Rack, part number SK01. This measures 82 inches long by 23 inches wide and has 160 pound carrying capacity, although you'd want to double check with your manufacturer just to make sure that your roof can handle that weight. We have the skewers up at the front here and that's how you're going to attach your bike to this as well as an integrated lock towards the rear here that you can use for additional security for your bike rack or your cargo. Now how this attaches to your roof rack we have a locking top portion here . Get that out of the way. Then we have this metal bracket and plastic piece here where a u bolt will come up underneath and tighten down with these thumb screws. Once those are tightened down you take the lock inaudible 00:00:55 put that in, lock it into place and it's going to be secure to your roof rack and this is going to be the same for all 4 sheet. Inno Roof Cargo Carrier Review - 2016 Nissan Juke- Video
Today on our 2016 Nissan Juke we're doing a test fit of the Inno Shaper 80 rooftop cargo basket. This is 46 and a half by 32 and a half inches, and has a 3 inch tall side. This also has a 110 pound weight capacity, and the part number for that is INXA568. We already have 3 of our 4 brackets secured into place, we've already adjusted it to the crossbar spread of our vehicle, made sure that it's out of the way of our antenna here in the back. We're just going to show you basically how we secure this last portion down. Connected to our bolt here, our nut, is that bolt and then we also have this spacer here. That slides in onto the channel of our crossbar, and then we place over this bracket. more

Rhino-Rack Roof Cargo Tray Review RRRPBH-S280- Video
Today we'll be taking a look at the Rhino-Rack roof cargo tray for aero-style crossbars, available in four different sizes: 59" by 25", part number RRRPBH-S280; 63" by 47", part number RRRPBL-S280; 53" by 43", part number RRRPBM-S280; and 49" by 37", part number RRRPBS-S280. The Rhino-Rack cargo tray is a multipurpose tray that allows you to free up space in your vehicle while also keeping dirty and damp gear away from your vehicle's interior. The tray is a zinc-plated steel tray with a powder coat finish, making it durable and corrosion-resistant. The welded crosspoints add strength to the tray while also providing multiple tie-down points. The Rhino-Rack cargo tray has a low-profile design to maintain your vehicle's overhead clearance. Today on our 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek we're doing a test fit of the Inno Sharper 80 rooftop cargo basket. The dimensions for this are 46 and 1/2 inches wide, by 32 and 1/2 inches, by 3 inches tall. It has a weight capacity of 110 pounds, and the part number for that is INXA568. We already have 3 of our 4 mounts secured in place, we're going to show you how we secure our last 1 here. I've gone ahead and removed the cover for our foot pack. We've started off by adjusting our bracket so that it lines up with our cross bar. We placed in that nut and slid it all the way over, and then made sure that the bolt slid through on the top here. more

Thule Roof Cargo Carrier Review - 2016 Jeep Patriot- Video
Today on our 2016 Jeep Patriot, we're doing a test fit of the Thule Canyon roof-mounted cargo basket. Now, this basket is 49 by 40 by 6 inches, has a weight capacity of 150 pounds. The part number for that is TH859. We already have three of our four mounts in place and secured down. We're going to show you this back passenger side one. We've already adjusted our bracket down here also. more

Today on our 2015 Hyundai Accent, we're doing a test fit of the Thule Canyon Roof Cargo Basket. Part number is TH859. Now we have the basket already on our vehicle, it's hooked up to our roofing system. The dimensions are 49 by 40 by 6 and can hold up to 150 pounds. Today, on the 2015 Jeep Renegade, we're going to do a test fit of the Thule Canyon Roof Cargo Basket. Part number is TH-859. The dimensions are 49 X 40 X 6 and can hold up to 150 pounds. I have three of the four hold-downs on. I'm going to show you how we put the last one on. We have our brace already on here with two little slots. We're going to use our u-boat, with our two thumb screws, and two washers. Go ahead and put this under here, tighten it down. more

Now, we have our cover to put on last but what we have is our U-bolt, 2 washers, and 2 thumb sweeps. You want the washers to go above the plate. more

Thule Roof Cargo Carrier Review - 2012 Volkswagen Touareg- Video
Today on our 2012 Volkswagen Touareg we're going to be doing a test fit on the Thule rooftop mounted cargo basket. This cargo basket is going to measure 49 inches long by 40 inches wide, and at it's highest point at the top of this curve here, it's going to have a depth of about 6 inches. Now, it's going to have a sturdy steel construction as well, it's going to have 150 pound weight capacity. You can see that we already have it up here with 3 of the feet installed, but we're going to show you how to install the final one. The first thing you're going to need to do, is before you get started make sure that you have your adjustments for your crossbar spread. Measure from one point on one, to the one point on the other one, and get your crossbar spread whatever measurement that may be, in this case we are at 30 inches. This can be adjusted and permanently set, so that way when you're pulling it on and off your vehicle you can set it up quickly and easily and easily take it off in a matter of minutes. We'll go and place this other foot on. more

Today, on our 2016 Subaru Outback Wagon, we're going to be doing a test-fit of the Thule Canyon Rooftop Mounted Cargo Basket, part number, TH859. Now this basket is going to measure 49 inches long, by 40 inches wide. At it's highest point, it's going to have a height of about 6 inches. With it's sturdy steel construction, it's going to offer a 150 pound weight capacity. We have 3 feet installed, so you can see what it's going to look like once it's up on the vehicle, but we'll show you how to install that final one. Keep in mind that you're going to have to measure your crossbar spread, so the distance from the center of this crossbar, to the center of your other crossbar, from the factory, or whatever crossbar system you have, before you get them up on the vehicle you've got to adjust your feet to fit into place. more
