Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2014 Nissan Rogue- Video
Today, on our 2014 Nissan Rogue, we're going to be taking a look at the Curt Cargo Carrier 00:00:05, part number C18151. This cargo carrier is rated for 500 pounds and has dimensions of 60 inches by 20 inches. It also fits 2 inch hitches only, so just keep that in mind. We'll get a few measurements to see how this interacts with our Rogue. I'll also want to note though that this does not come with a hitch pin and clip. Right now we're using part number PC3, which is available on our website if you want to check that out. We also have number of anti-rattle bolts and other hitch accessories, if you also want to look up those as well. more

Stromberg Carlson Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2014 Nissan Rogue- Video
Today in our 2014 Nissan Rogue, we're going to be taking a look at the Stromberg Carlson 23x60 inch cargo carrier, part number CC-100. This cargo carrier has a 500-pound weight capacity, and as I said dimensions of 60 inches by 23 inches. To start off, we'll get a few measurements of how our cargo carrier interacts with our Rogue. The closest distance between the front of our carrier to the back of our Rogue will be about 2 1/2 inches. Then the overall distance that we've added will be about 25 inches. Our ground clearance to the bottom side of this bolt here will be about 10 1/2 inches. It looks like our exhaust exit is on the driver side, and it points downward. more

Now if you look down your going to see a 2" shank connecting to our 2" receiver and that's going to be connecting using a hitch pin and clip. Detail K2 20x60 Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2014 Nissan Rogue- Video
Today on our 2014 Nissan Rouge, we're going to be taking a look at the K2 detailed cargo carrier part number K28CC602. This carrier has a weight capacity of 500 pounds and its dimensions are 20 in x 60 in. I'll get a few dimensions to show you how this interacts with the Rouge. Our closest distance from the back of the Rouge to the front of the carrier should be about 10 1/2 inches. Although, there is a little bit of a bump out in the shank that if you we're to go to far in to your receiver, it might make contact there, that's gonna be about 6 1/2 inches from the back of our receiver. Overall distance that we've added, its going to be about 31 1/2 inches, and the ground clearance is going to be about 12 1/2 inches. The exhaust on our Rouge exits on the driver side, and its a pretty far distance away. Just in case you're carrying anything that is heat-sensitive or perishable, its going to be about 20 inches from the front of our carrier to the tip of the exhaust. Our break-over point for the back hatch, in case you wanted to stack any items on the carrier, is going to be about 30 inches before anything would make contact with that hatch. more

Today on our 2015 Nissan Frontier we're doing a test fit on the Detail K2 folding 20 by 60 cargo carrier. This has been designed for use with 2" hitches. It offers a 500 pound weight capacity. Now the carrier uses a pin and clip to hold it in place, which means with our hundred pounds on here we're going to get a little bit of movement and a little bit of shake and rattle as we're headed down the road. Today in our 2015 Nissan Frontier, we're testing the Let's Go Arrow gear cage. Now this is a 32x48 cargo carrier designed to hold up to 300 pounds. It's been also designed for use with two-inch hitches. Part number on it is HCR222 . This cargo carrier does a great job of keeping a lot of gear in place for us. We've got a hundred pounds on it now, just to give you an idea of kind of how it'll move and work on the back of the truck. more

Lets Go Aero Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Nissan Rogue- Video
Today on our 2015 Nissan Rogue we're going to be doing a test fit of the Let's Go Aero Gear Cage. This Let's Go Aero Gear Cage is going to be 48" long, 32" wide, and with its sturdy steel construction it's going to offer a 300 pound weight capacity. It's going to come with that 2" shank for you 2" receivers only as well as 7/8" anti-rattle bolt that's going to help secure it and reduce the sway, rattle, and wobble that you would normally have. Let's start off by getting a few measurements. This is going to be part number HCR222 and your closest distance will be from the back of the bumper to the front side of the rack at about 5 7/8". Overall distance that we've added to the back of the vehicle is going to be about 40" and the ground clearance at the bottom side of about 10 1/4" to the bottom side of the shank. Our exhaust does exit on the driver side and straight back so if you're going to be carrying anything that's going to be heat sensitive you're going to want to know, it's going to be about 13 1/2" before it breaks the plane of your basket. more

If you look down at the bottom, you're going to see that it's going to have that two inch shank that's going to connect to our two inch receiver via an anti rattle bolt as well. That way it's going to eliminate a lot of the sway, rattle and wobble. If you look on the back of the vehicle with me shaking on it, it's shaking the vehicle rather than just the rack. more

Today on our 2015 Nissan Murano, we're going to be doing a test fit to the SportRack Vista Cargo Carrier. This cargo carrier is going to be 20-inches wide by 60-inches long with that nice expanded metal bottom for easy clean-ability and a sturdy steel construction for a 500-pound weight capacity. It's going to be attached with that two-inch folding shank that will attach to our two-inch receiver via an anti-rattle bolt there on the driver's side. It's going to be part number SR9851. Let's start off by getting a few measurements. Our closest distance here in the folded-out position is going to be from this part here to the back side of the bumper, at about 8 7/8 inches. Overall distance that we've added to the back of the vehicle, from the rear of the bumper to the back of the rack, at about 37 1/4 inches, with a rear-ground clearance of about 14 3/8 inches. Let's go ahead and open up our rear hatch and see what kind of clearance we have there. As you can see, we're going to have full, unobstructed access. more

Really one of the strong points of the cargo carrier, it's supplied with an anti-rattle bolt so that's going to keep all that moving, or a lot of it anyway, a lot of that moving, that bouncing out of the equation as we're heading down the road so it gives us a nice stable ride. Its dimensions are 20 x 60 and has a nice weight capacity of 500 pounds. We can go ahead and begin our test fit by sliding the shank into the receiver of our Murano and we'll line up our pin holes. We are going to go with our second pin hole which is going to be our 5/8 pin hole. All right that looks pretty close and we'll take our included anti rattle bolt and thread that through. Now the nice thing about this anti rattle bolt it's going to help reduce the play and the rattle within our hitch and our carrier. more

Rola Dart Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2014 Nissan Murano- Video
Today on our 2014 Nissan Mirano, we'll be test fitting the Rola Dart, it has a solid steel construction, a 2 inch shank and it's going to be 23x56 inches with a 450 pound capacity. This is going to be part number 59550 and it comes with your anti rattle bolt and pin or your anti rattle bolt and clip, apologies. Let's go ahead and test fit this. Go ahead and line up your pin holes and then we'll go ahead and insert your anti rattle bolt. Go ahead and thread that in as far as you can by hand and then we will take our 1 1/16 socket and thread it in the rest of the way. Once you have it tight, you'll see that a lot of the sway, rattle and wobble will be out of your hitch and then just go ahead and put our clip in. Next we'll go ahead and get some measurements. more

It's part number is MT70107. Now to begin our test fit we are going to slide the shank of the carrier right into the receiver tube of our hitch. To do this we are going to watch to the pin hole there to see when the hole in the shank of our carrier aligns up with it. We'll then take our standard 5/8 pin and clip combo. more

Today on our 2014 Nissan Pathfinder we're going to be test-fitting the Pro Series Solo Cargo Carrier. This is 31 x 47. It's designed for use with 2-inch hitches, and it offers a 400-pound weight capacity. The part number is PS1040100. To begin our test fit, we need to slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch. This is a bigger cargo carrier and it can be awkward for one person, so the style I've adopted of test-fitting is to let the rear rest on the ground. Place the shank into the lower portion of the receiver tube and then we're going to lift up on the rear and push in at the same time. more

MaxxTow Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2014 Nissan Pathfinder mt70108- Video
Today in our 2014 Nissan Pathfinder, we're going to be test fitting the 20x47 MaxxTow Cargo Carrier. This is designed for use in two inches hitches, it offers a 500 pounds weight capacity, its part number is MT70108. Now to begin our test fit, we're going to slide the shank of the carrier right into the receiver tube of the hitch and slide it in far enough so that our pin holes will line up. We can then take our standard 5/8 pin, we'll slide that through and secure it with a clip. Now the pin and clip are sold separately, you can find them in our website, part number is PC3. At its closest point to the rear of the vehicle, the carrier is going to be about 6 inches away that offers us about 10 1/2 inches where the ground clearance. And overall we made about 28 3/4 inches to the length of the Pathfinder. more

Surco Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2014 Nissan Frontier- Video
Today, on our 2014 Nissan Frontier, we're going to be test fitting the Surco 24X60 Cargo Carrier for 2 Inch Hitches, Part Number 52018. We'll begin our test fit by inserting the shank into the hitch on our vehicle. You'll want to watch for the hitch pin holes to line up. With those in line, we'll take our hitch pin and slide it through the holes. This particular carrier does not come with a pin and clip, so today, we're using Part Number PC3. We'll attach our clip and get a couple of measurements. The closed part of the carrier to the vehicle is going to be here, at the rail to the bumper. more

Rola Dart Folding Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2014 Nissan Frontier- Video
Today on our 2014 Nissan Frontier, we're going to be test fitting the 23X56 Rola Dart cargo carrier. This cargo carrier is designed for 2-inch hitches and does fold which is a nice feature to have. We'll start our test fit by inserting the shank into the hitch on our Nissan. You'll see here that it does come with a threaded hitch bolt so we'll go ahead and line up our hitch pin hole. We can thread that into place. We'll go ahead and get it hand tight and then we'll finish it off with our wrench. more

Today on our 2014 Nissan Rogue we're going to be test fitting the Pro Series Solo cargo carrier. It measures 31 by 47. They've designed it for use in 2" hitches and it's going to offer a 400 pound weight capacity. To begin our test fit we'll take the carrier, and it's a good idea to have two people when you load it up. However, I've adopted a strategy of just getting it started into the shank of the hitch there, or getting the shank started in the hitch. Then I'll lift up on the rear and push in at the same time. more
