SportRack Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2014 Honda CR-V- Video
Today on our 2014 Honda CRV we're going to be doing a test fit on the SportRack Vista, this is a folding cargo carrier capable of holding 500 pounds. It's been designed for use in 2 inch hitches the Part Number is SR9851. We've got the Vista loaded down with 100 pounds as you can see. This is going to give us a nice stable ride for whatever we're going to be hauling. As compared to some of the cargo carriers rather that are installed and secured with the hitch pin and clip. This on uses an anti-rattle bolt so it really stabilizes everything. more

Today on our 2014 Honda CR-V were going to be test fitting the SportRack Vista cargo carrier. This measures 20 wide my way, 60 wide your way. Its going to give us ample room to remove some of that stuff out of our car to give us more room for passengers or pets. Weve got it loaded with 100 pounds here. Its designed for use with 2" hitches, and they use an anti-rattled bolt as you can see. Thats going to give us a real nice steady platform as were heading down the road. more

Today on our 2012 Honda Odyssey, we're going to be doing a test fit on the Sprortrack Vista. This is a 20x60 cargo carrier designed for use with 2 inch hitches and is going to offer us a 500 pound weight capacity. The part number on it is SR9849. Now you can see here the carrier is going to offer a sturdy steel construction. We've loaded it down with 100 pounds and with the anti rattle device secure, it really keeps it from bumping around or wiggling too much. Today on our 2012 Honda Odyssey we're going to be doing a test fit on the CURT 24 by 60 folding cargo carrier. This has been designed for use in 2" hitches. It's going to offer a 500 pound weight capacity. The part number on it, it's C18153. We've got it loaded down with a hundred pounds of gear here. As you can see, just like any cargo carrier, as you're going down the road, if it's secured with just a pin and clip, you're going to have a little movement and a little wiggle there. Today on our 2013 Honda Odyssey, we are going to do a test fit on the Hollywood Racks add on cargo carrier design for use with the sport rider or sport rider SE2 bike rack but as you can see here, it's also available for use as a stand alone carrier. It measures 15 1/2 inches x 55. It's going to offer us at 220 pound weight capacity when used independently. A 90 pound weight capacity when used in conjunction with the bike rack. They've designed this for use in 2 inch hitches with it smaller size it still offers a 500 pound weight capacity. Part number on it is MT70107. To begin our test fit we simply slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch. As we do this, we are going to line up our pin hole with our hitch pin hole. With those in line we'll take our standard 5/8 pin and then slide this through and we'll secure it on the other side here with our clip. Today on our 2014 Honda Odyssey, we're going to be test fitting the Curt 24x60 hitch mounted cargo carrier. This is designed for 2-inch hitches, part number C18153. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of the hitch. We'll go ahead and slide it in till we get our pinholes to line up with each other. Then we can install our hitch pin and clip. With the carrier in the folded up position, it's going to give us a ground clearance of about 10 inches and the closest point of the carrier to the rear of our vehicle is going to measure about 3 inches away. more

Today on our 2013 Honda Accord, we are going to be doing a test fit on the Curt 17x46 Compact Cargo Carrier. This has been designed for use with inch and a quarter or two inch hitches. Part number on it is C18145. Now we are using it in class 1 hitch today. That's going to limit us to a 200 pound weight capacity. If we are using a class 2, we can go up to 350 and with a class 3, all the way up to 500. more

Today on our 2013 Honda Odyssey we're going to to a test fit on the Pro Series Solo. This is a 31 by 47 cargo carrier that's been designed for use with 2-inch hitches. It offers a 400 pound weight capacity. Part number on it is PS1040100. Now this would be one of the larger cargo carriers that we offer. As you can see, a lot of surface area on it. With that being said, it can be for one person a little be cumbersome, so if you've got a helpful hand there available, I'd recommend that. more

We need to slide this in far enough so that our threaded hole lines up with our hitch pinhole. more

Today on our 2013 Honda Odyssey, we are going to do a test fit on the 20x47 Maxxtow Cargo Carrier. With the exemption of the full length steel shank, we get a nice aluminum construction which really saves weight. Still offers a 500 pound weight capacity and it's designed for use in two inch hitches. The part number on it MT70108. As we said the aluminum construction is really causes this to be a nice lightweight carrier, it might be a good choice if weight is going to be an issue for you. To do the test fit we'll just slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch and we'll line up our pin hole with our hitch pin hole. Once we have those in line we are going to take a standard five eights pin, slide it through and secure it on the other side with the clip. more

Now all well need to do to test fit this to the vehicle is slide in the cargo carrier shank, line up the hitch pin holes, and install the hitch pin. With the hitch pin in well go ahead and put the safety clip on the other side which will secure our cargo carrier to the vehicle. Now well go ahead and give you a few measurements. With the cargo carrier in the stored position it is of an inch from the closest point of the cargo carrier to the back of the vehicle. more

Curt Folding Aluminum Cargo Carrier Review - 2013 Honda Ridgeline- Video
Today on this 2013 Honda Ridgeline well be test fitting the Curt 20 by 60 folding aluminum cargo carrier, part number C18100. To begin our test fit well slide the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch tube, align up our hitch pin hole, slide our pin through our hitch pin hole and secure it with a clip. Now lets go over some clearance measurements to see how the cargo carrier and this vehicle fit together. With the cargo carrier folded up theres about 15 inches of ground clearance. The closest part of the vehicle to the closest part of the carrier is about 2 inches. With the cargo carrier folded down theres about 17 inches of ground clearance from the rear of the carrier. more

Today on our 2013 Honda CRV well be test fitting the Curt 20 by 60 folding aluminum cargo carrier for two inch hitches, part number C18100. Now to begin our test fit well simply slide the cargo carrier shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole, and install our hitch pin. With the pin in we can simply put the clip on the other side of the pin which will secure our cargo carrier to the vehicle. Well now go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance with the cargo carrier platform folded up is 10 inches. From the closest point of the carrier to the back of the vehicle is five inches. more

Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2012 Honda Civic- Video
Today were working with a 2012 Honda Civic and were going to be test fitting Curts 20X48 inch cargo carrier, part number C18145. To mount the carrier to our vehicle well insert the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of the hitch. Well line up the hitch pin holds feed in our anti-rattle bolt and tighten it down with a wrench. Next well go over a few clearance measurements. Weve got about 2 inches of clearance from the closest part of the cargo carrier to the closest art of the vehicle. Overall weve added about 21.5 inches of length to the rear of the vehicle. more

UWS Aluminum Cargo Carrier Review - 2007 Honda Pilot- Video
Today we have with us the 2007 Honda Pilot. Well be test fitting UWSs 23 inch by 51 inch aluminum cargo carrier part number uws03511. To mount the cargo carrier to our vehicle well insert the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our vehicle. Well line up the hitch pin holes, and insert our hitch pin securing it with a clip on the other side. Once weve done that our cargo carrier is installed and ready to load up. Today we have with us a 2007 Honda Pilot. Well be test fitting Surcos 24 inch by 60 inch folding cargo carrier part number 52018f. To mount this carrier to our vehicle well insert the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch. Well line up the hitch pin holes, feed our pin through and secure it with a clip. Now well check for some clearance measurements while we have the cargo carrier still folded up. From the closest point of our carrier to the furthest point of our bumper measures about two and a half inches of clearance. more

Today we have with us a 2007 Honda Pilot. Were going to be test fitting Curts 20 inch by 48 inch cargo carrier, part number c18145. To mount our cargo carrier to our vehicle well insert the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of the hitch on the Pilot. Well line up the hitch pin holes, thread in our anti rattle bolt and well tighten it down with a three quarter inch wrench finally securing it with a clip on the other side. Now well go over some clearance measurements. Weve got about two and three quarter inches clearance from the furthest part of our vehicle to the closest part of the carrier. more
