Detail K2 20x60 Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan- Video
Today on our 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Detail K2 cargo carrier. This cargo carrier is going to be 20 inches wide, 60 inches long and with its sturdy steel construction, it's going to offer a 500-pound weight capacity. It's also going to have that nice expanded metal base for easy cleanability and a 2-inch folding shank that will allow you to tuck it up on the back of the vehicle when you don't have it in use. Again, with that 2-inch shank, you're only going to be able to attach that to your class 3 or 2-inch receiver and it's going to be attaching via a hitch pin and clip. Now, if you do not have that hitch pin and clip since this rack does not come with one, you can obtain one on our website, part number PC3. Let's go ahead and start off by getting a few measurements. Our closest distance will be up here first at about 6 1/2 inches before it meets up with the weld to the back end of the receiver, from the rack to the back side of the bumper is going to be able 11 3/4 inches. more

Notice here that it's also going to have that nice folding shank so when you don't have it in use, you can tuck it up against the back of the vehicle. Let's start by getting a few measurements. Our closest distance will be the first measurement from the front of the rack to the back side of the bumper, at about 8-5/8 inches. Overall distance that we've added to the vehicle from the rear of the bumper to the back of the rack at about 42-3/4 inches, with a ground clearance of about 12-3/4 inches. more

MaxxTow Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2007 Dodge Ram Pickup- Video
Today on our 2007 Dodge Ram, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Maxxtow 27x47 Cargo Carrier and this cargo carrier comes with a 60 inch pivoting ramp that's going to be fairly solid almost completely made out of aluminum except for this steel plate here. It's going to come with your 2 inch shank, 500 pound weight capacity and your hitch pin and clip are included. It's going to be part number MT70275. We'll go ahead and put it on our Ram today and it does have a little bit of weight to it with that steel plate on the bottom, so just be aware of that if you are trying to strong hand it by yourself. Today on our 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab, we'll be test fitting the 72 by 32 by 39 Let's Go Aero High-Profile Enclosed Cargo Carrier with ramp, part number HCK673. It offers us 51 cubic feet of space, has a weight capacity of 300 pounds. We can go ahead and begin our test fit by taking a few measurements. Now we've already got the shank of our carrier into our receiver and tightened down and with our included anti-rattle bolt. We've already got our supports tightened down to our fixed anchor point underneath our vehicle or our bumper. It's always good to have a helping hand when you're loading this thing up, because it does weigh a few pounds. For our nearest point from our bumper to here, it's going to be about 7". Overall to our Dodge Ram we've added about 47". more

Today on our 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 Series Quad Cab pickup, we're going to be testing fitting the Curt Aluminum Cargo Carrier. This does have a five hundred pound capacity. It's dimensions are nineteen by sixty inches and it's designed for two inch hitches as well. It's part number is C18100. We've got a two inch hitch on this truck here today so we're going to begin by sliding the shank of the cargo carrier into the receiving tube of the hitch until the pinholes are aligned and once they are we're going to push the pin through and then we're going to place the clip in the other end of that pin. Now that that's in place, we're going to do a couple of measurements starting with ground clearance. This carrier is going to offer just about fifteen inches of ground clearance to this point right here. more

Now we need to slide it in far now so that pinhole lines up with our hitch pinhole. We'll then take our standard five eights pin, we are going to slide that through then we'll secure it on the other side with our clip. Now the pin and clip will be sold separately. more

Today on our 2014 Dodge Durango we're going to be test fitting the Pro Series Solo cargo carrier. It measures 31 by 47. It offers a 400 pound weight capacity and it's designed for use in 2" hitches. Its part number is PS1040100. To begin our test fit we're going to slide the shank of the carrier right into the receiver tube of our hitch. We'll slide it in and line up our pinholes. more

Curt Folding Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan C18131- Video
Today on our 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan, we'll be test fitting the Curt Cargo Carrier for 2 inch hitches part number C18131. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch. You can notice that the carrier cannot be used in the folded up position. We'll pull the silver pin at the base of the carrier and tilt the platform down. We'll then continue to slide the shank into the receiver tube and securing it with the pin and clip. With the carrier secured we'll go over some clearance measurements. more

Today, on our 2007 Dodge Durango, well be test fitting the 20x60 Curt Folding Cargo Carrier for two inch hitches, part number C18131. To begin our test fit, well slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of the hitch. Line up the pin hole and install our pin and clip. Now, well go over a few clearance of measurements with the carrier in the folded up position, we have a ground clearance of about 19 inches. The closest point of the carrier to the rear of our Durango is about 2-1/4 inches. Weve added about 13-1/2 inches to the overall length of our Durango. more

To begin our test fit well go ahead and slide the shank of the carrier into the hitch, line up the pinhole and install our hitch pin. We can then put the clip in on the other side, securing the cargo carrier to our vehicle. At this point well go over a few clearance measurements. We have a ground clearance of about 16 inches. The closest part of the carrier to the rear of the vehicle is about 6 and a half inches. more

Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2013 Dodge Avenger- Video
Today on our 2013 Dodge Avenger, we'll be testing the Curt 20 by 48 Cargo Carrier Part Number C18145. Now, to begin our test fit, we slide the shank of the carrier into the opening of our hitch. Line up our pinholes and then thread our anti-rattle bolt through the pinholes and tighten with a wrench. Now, we'll go over some clearance measurements to see how our vehicle and our carrier come together. We have a ground clearance of 9 1/2 inches at the rear of our carrier. It's important to note that our bumper does overhang our cargo carrier a little bit. more

Now to begin our test fit, we'll go ahead and slide the shank of the cargo carrier into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole, and install our hitch pin. We can then put the clip on the other side of the pin, securing the cargo carrier to the vehicle. At that point, we'll go ahead and give you a few measurements. From the closest point of the cargo carrier platform to the back of the vehicle measures 2-1/4 inches. The cargo carrier will add an additional 34-1/2 inches of overall length to the vehicle. more

Curt Folding Aluminum Cargo Carrier Review - 2008 Dodge Nitro- Video
Today on our 2008 Dodge Nitro we'll be test fitting the Curt 20 inch by 60 inch folding aluminum cargo carrier, part number C18100. To mount our carrier we'll insert the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch. We'll line up our hitch pin holes and secure the carrier with a pin and clip. Next we'll go over a handful of clearance measurements. We've got about 12 1/2 inches of ground clearance and about 3 1/2 inches of clearance between the closest part of the bumper and the closest part of the carrier. Overall when folded up we've added about 11 inches of length to the rear of the vehicle. more

Now to begin our test fit well slide the cargo carrier shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole, and install our hitch pin. We can then put our clip on the other side of the pin, which will secure our cargo carrier to the vehicle. Well now go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance here at the cargo carrier is 11.25 inches. From the closest point of the carrier to the back of the vehicle is one and a half inches. more

We'll line up our hitch pin holes and secure the carrier with a standard 5/8-inch pin and clip. Next, we'll go over some clearance measurements. We've got about 12 inches of ground clearance and 1 inch of clearance between the closest part of the vehicle and the closest part of the carrier. Overall, we've added about 7 inches of length to the rear of the vehicle with the carrier folded up. more
