Today in our 2016 Chevrolet Equinox, we've got out the Curt 20 by 60 folding cargo carrier. As you can see we're doing a test on it. Now this cargo carrier has been designed for use in 2 inch hitches and it offers a 500 pound capacity. Part number on it is C-1-8-1-5-1. Thing I really like about the carrier, see this nice high raised rail that goes all the way around the outside It's going to be about 5 and 1/2 inches tall. That gives us good support for our gear, side-to-side and front-to-back. And you also see it makes some really nice connection points here for our straps. Also we're going to have reflectors on the side and on the rear to help increase our visibility. more

Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Express we are text fitting the Max Tow 21x48 cargo carrier. Now this will carry up to 500lbs and it has been designed for use in 2 inch hitches. Part number on it is MT70422. This is an aluminum constructed platform here, it is really light weight, easy to handle, really sets it apart from some of the other carriers. You can see it is a slatted floor, that is going to give us good support also allow for dirt/debris and things like that to fall down and out. You will see the small raised edge around the outside, it is about 2 inches high. This provides us with 4 good attachment points for straps if we want to secure our gear. more

Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Express, we've got out the Stromberg Carlson 23 by 60 Cargo Carrier. We're doing a test fit on it to see the room that we've got between it and the vehicle. Now, this carrier is designed for use with up to 500 pounds, and also for use in 2 inch hitches. Part number on it is going to be CC-100. This has the larger size, expanded steel floor, so even if you've got larger chunks of dirt and mud and stuff, it should'nt be any issues with that falling down through. I like the platform style. Looks like we're going to have about 2 and 3/4 of an inch of a raised rail all the way around the outside. more

Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Express we're test fitting the Curt 20x60 Folding Cargo Carrier. This cargo carrier is designed for use with up to 500 pounds and also for use with 2" hitches. The part number on it is C18151. This carrier is going to offer the medium size expanded steel floor. We're going to have good support for even smaller items, but still plenty of room for dirt, debris, moisture and stuff like that to fall down and out. The raised rail all the way around the outside is going to be about 5-1/2" tall. This gives us good stability for our gear but it's also going to offer us some nice connection points so we can get that gear secured once it's on. more

Now the flooring in this carrier is going to be a medium-sized expanded steel, plenty of room for dirt, debris, and moisture to fall down and through so we don't get corrosion on top but not so big that if we put some smaller items on here we'd have to worry about them falling down and through. more

Lets Go Aero  Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Chevrolet Traverse

Today, on our 2015 Chevrolet Traverse, we're doing a test fit of the Lesko Arrow Gear Cage, HCR 222 Cargo Carrier. It has a 300 pound weight capactiy, is 48" x 32", and designed to work with our 2" hitches. We've already got this loaded up on our vehicle, first thing we're going to do is take a few measurements here. Our ground clearance is going to be first, to the bottom of our carrier, we're going to have about 16 1/4" there, overall to the back of our vehicle, we're going to have about 39 3/4", and our closest point is going to be about 5 1/2" away. With our Traverse, we have a single, passenger-side exhaust here. It's up under our fascia, and it comes straight down at the ground, so you shouldn't have to worry about carrying any heat-sensitive materials on your carrier since it does come straight towards the ground there. If we check our hatch break over point here, we've got that automatic hatch, so it's going to open up, but we're not going to make any contact with the carrier, which is great. We close this up a bit, we can check our break over point with our platform. more

Our closest point is going to be about 8 1/2 inches there. Now, on our truck, we have a single passenger side exhaust. It comes straight out here to the side, so we don't have to worry about being pre-cautious with heat sensitive materials in our carrier. The next thing we'll check is our tailgate. If we drop it down all the way, you can see that we don't make contact anywhere on the carrier. It does hang over just a bit. more

Overall for the back of the truck, we're adding about 33 and half inches back here. Our closest point is going to be about 12 and 3 quarter inches. Now on the Silverado, we do have a single passenger side exhaust, it does come out straight out to the side, so you shouldn't have to worry about carrying any heat sensitive materials in your cargo carrier. You might just want to be precautions the first time there. Next thing we'll check is our tailgate clearance. more

Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Suburban, we are test fitting the detail K2 folding cargo carrier. The dimensions are 20 by 60 with a 500 pound weight capacity and the part number for that is K2HCC602. Now, we're going to first start off by taking some measurements here. Our ground clearance is going to be about 22 and a half inches. Our overall to the back of the vehicle, adding about 35 inches. Then our closest point with it in the road ready position is going to be about 14 inches there. While we're back here we're going to check our hatch clearance. The hatch does break over the carrier, we have a break over point of about 18 inches there. more

Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Suburban, we are test fitting the 48 by 21 MaxxTow Cargo Carrier. It has a 500 pound capacity and this is designed to work with 2 inch hitches. The part number for that is MT70422. The first thing we are going to do with the cargo carrier is take a few measurements. We'll do our ground clearance first to the bottom under here, it's going to be about 22 inches. And then overall to the vehicle, we're adding about 28 1/2 inches there. And our closest point will be about 6 inches. Now, a great feature of this cargo carrier is that it does allow you full access to the back hatch of your vehicle. more

Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Suburban were test fitting the curt folding 20 by 60 cargo carrier, part number for that is C18151, and it has a capacity to hold up to 500 pounds. The first thing were going to start with are our measurements here. Well head into out ground clearance, were going to have about twenty three inches in ground clearance there. Overall to the back of the vehicle were adding about thirty five inches, and our closest point its going to be about thirteen and a quarter inches there. Now we do have a lot of clearance with our hatch opening, well go ahead and check break over point here, well about sixteen and a half inches there. Now with the Suburban we do have an automatic hatch, we have turned ours off because we just want to make sure that you carefully stack any materials that youre going to have on our carrier that way. more

That's because we have this raised shank in the back which is going to lift that cargo carrier up even higher than that ground. more

Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Suburban we're test fitting the curt folding 24 by 60 cargo carrier, part number C18153. Has a 500 pound weight capacity on this cargo carrier. Now, the first thing we're going to do is take some measurements here. So, we'll do our ground clearance first, we've got about 25 1/2 inches of ground clearance. It's because we've got this nice raised shank back here in the back, so it's going to lift that cargo carrier up even higher than the back of your vehicle. Overall we're adding about 42 1/4 inches to the vehicle. Our closest point, the raised shank is going to be about 4 inches away from the vehicle and the actual cargo carrier is going to be about 16 1/2. more

Today on our 2010 Chevrolet Silverado, we'll be doing a test for the Let's Go Aero Gear Cage Cargo Carrier. That's part number HCR222. It's dimensions are 48"x32"; it has a 300-pound weight capacity. As you can see, it's a sizable carrier, plenty of room to tie down, use anchor points for our cargo, and it's secured into our 2"x2" receiver with an anti-rattle bolt. That's going to help reduce a lot of the play and the movement within our carrier when we're driving down the road. You can see there's not a lot of play in there with that tightened down. Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe we're going to be doing a test fit of the MaxxTow cargo carrier. This cargo carrier is going to be part number MT70275. It's going to be 30" wide, 50" long, and have a 60" pivoting ramp. It's going to have a sturdy aluminum construction with a capability of carrying up 500 pounds. It's also going to come with your 2" shank to attach to our 2" receiver, as well as an anti-tilt device with two 5/8" bolts on the bottom and your hitch pin and clip. Let's go ahead and start by getting a few measurements. Our closest distance will be our first measurement at about 5-7/8". more

It does come with that 2" shank for your 2 inch receivers only as well as a 7 1/8" anti-rattle bold that's going to help to reduce a lot of the sway, rattle, and wobble that you would normally have.
