Softride Element Parallelogram Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2014 Mazda CX-5- Video
Today on our 2014 Mazda CX-5, were going to be test fitting the Softride Element Parallelogram. This is a tilting 4-bike rack designed for use with inch and a quarter or two inch hitches. Its part number is SR26248. To being our test fit, well slide the shank of the rack into the receiver tube of our hitch. Now as we do this, we want to align one of the threaded holes up with the pinhole in the side. Im going to use the first one rather than the second so we can get as much clearance as possible. more

Saris Freedom Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2014 Mazda CX-5- Video
Today on our 2014 Mazda CX-5 we're going to be test fitting the Saris Freedom. This is a folding and tilting 4-bike rack designed for use in 2" hitches. Its part number is SA4414B. Now to begin our test fit we need to slide the shank of the rack into the receiver tube of our hitch. As we do this we want to keep an eye through the hitch pinhole in the hitch to determine when we have our holes lined up. With those lined up we're going to thread in our anti-rattle bolt from the left to the right. more

Saris Axis Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2014 Mazda CX-5- Video
Today on our 2014Mazda CX5, we're going to be test fitting the Saris Axis. This is a folding and tilting, three-bike rack designed for use in both inch and a quarter and twoinch hitches. Its part number is SA843B.To begin our test fit, we're going to slide the shank of the rack right into the receiver tube of our hitch. As we do this, we'll want to line up our threaded hole with the pinhole on our hitch tube. We'll then take our anti-rattle bolt and thread this in from the left to the right. We'll then tighten it down with a wrench.With that anti-rattle bolt tight, we'll now take the provided lock and simply slide it on the other end. more

Hollywood Racks Traveler Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2015 Mazda CX-5- Video
Today on our 2015 Mazda CX5 we'll be test-fitting the Hollywood Racks Traveler hitch-mounted 4-bike rack, part number HR8500. We'll begin our test-fit by sliding the shank of the bike rack into the opening of the hitch. After lining up the pin holes we'll thread in our anti-rattle bolt and tighten it down using a wrench, finishing off by securing the clip on the other side. With the bike rack secured we'll go over a few clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. We have about 10 and a half inches of ground clearance. Closest part of the bike rack to the closest part of the vehicle is about 3 inches away and we have added about 10 inches to the overall length of our Mazda. We can now remove the black pin at the top of the mast and swing out our dual arms. more

Hollywood Racks Traveler Tow n Go Bike Rack Review - 2015 Mazda CX-5- Video
Today on our 2015 Mazda CX5, we'll be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Traveler Tow N Go hitch mounted hanging three bike rack part number HR135. This bike rack allows you to carry three bikes while towing a small boat or trailer. For today's test fit we'll be using the draw type ball mount with an extra long shank part number 80232. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the ball mount into the opening of the hitch. After lining up the pin holes, we'll then secure it with the standard five inch hitch pin and clip. Keep in mind the ball mount, hitch ball and pin and clip are sold separately. Now you'll notice that after securing it, there is some wiggle within the hitch. Kuat NV Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2015 Mazda CX-5- Video
Today on our 2015 Mazda CX-5, we're going to be test-fitting the Kuat NV. This is a tilting 2-bike platform style rack, part number N101. To begin our test-fit, we'll slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of our hitch. As we do this, we want to look through the hole here on the side to determine when that hole is lined up with it 0:00:24. Since we have our pin holes lined up, we're going to slide through our pin and secure it with a provided lock 0:00:36. We'll then turn the black knob here at the rear of the rack. more

Today we have a 2010 Mazda CX-9 and we'll be test fitting the Thule Parkway Two-Hitch Mounted Bike Carrier, part number TH958. To mount the carrier on our vehicle, we'll insert the shank into the receiver on our hitch. We'll line up the pin holes, insert our anti-rattle bolt and tighten it down. We have 11 inches of ground clearance from the bottom of our bike carrier to the ground. From the farthest point on the bumper to the closest part of the bike rack, measures about five inches of rear clearance. Next we'll check for rear vehicle access. more

To mount the carrier on our vehicle well insert the shank of the bike rack into the receiver hitch. well line up the pinholes and insert and tighten down our anti rattle bolt. With that done our bike rack is mounted on the vehicle and we can check for rear vehicle access. Well pull the pin down at the bottom of the bike rack and lower the bike rack to make sure we can still access our cargo area. With that done we can tilt our bike rack back up, reinsert the pin and prepare to load a bike. more

Today on our 2010 Mazda CX9 well be test fitting the ProSeries Q-slot platform style bike carrier part #: PS63134. Now, to begin our test fit well simply slide the bike rack shank into the hitch, well line up the hitch pinhole and install our hitch pin. And with that our bike rack is secured to the vehicle. Now we can go ahead and give you a few measurements: our ground clearance at the bike rack is 15 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle is 7 inches. Well now fold the platform down and open our cargo door. And as you can see we can gain full access of the cargo area with this bike rack. more

Today on our 2010 Mazda CX9 well be test fitting the Cuat aluminum hitch mounted bike rack part #: S102. Now to begin our test fit well simply slide our bike rack shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pinhole and install our hitch pin. After installing the lock on the other side of our hitch pin well give it a slight tug and tighten down our anti rattle know at the back of the bike rack. Now we can go ahead and give you a few measurements: now, our ground clearance at the bike rack is 11 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack in the stored position to the rear of the vehicle is a quarter of an inch. Well now fold the bike rack down and well give you a few more measurements. With the platform down from the closest point of the bike rack to the bumper is 5 inches. more

All right, today in this 2006 Mazda 5, we're going to do a test fit of the Swagman Bike Rack, part number S64650-EXT. A few things to know about this bicycle rack, that it will work with 1-1/4-inch receiver hitch and this will also work with a 2-inch receiver hitch with the provided spacer. We're using a class 1 on this vehicle. We're going to start off our test fit by installing the bike rack into the hitch and then well go ahead and tighten down the anti-rattle bolt and put the safety pin on the other side. Now, I'll go ahead and get some clearance measurements. Ground clearance will be 12 inches by the hitch and at the very end of the bike rack will be 15 inches. more
