Hi, it's Evangelina here at etrailer.com and today we are looking at our Kuat NV 2.0 2-Bike Rack here on our 2019 Jeep Compass Now this is a really good premium bike rack if you have, let's say heavy electric bikes or you have alternate frame bikes and you want all the nice, wonderful premium features. One of those features is that it can tilt away. To do so, you pull this lever right over here and this tilts down and you'll want to do this if you want to access your hatch. So you can see here how there's plenty of room between our door and our handlebars that allows us to like get into our trunk, where you put things away, grab our bags, grab our water, grab whatever we need all without taking off our bikes. So it's a very nice convenient solution. And to bring it back to position, you could just lift it up and that lever snaps into place. more

Now this is a really good bike rack if you need something that's versatile and it's actually pretty affordable but it has all the nice features that you may want for your bike rides. Now, the way this works is that one of its features is that it can tilt away. To do so, you can just step on this lever right over here and this tilts the bike rack down and you'll want to do this if you want to access your hatch on your car. So you can see here that there's plenty of room between our door and our bike handlebars, allowing us to maybe put things away, grab our bike helmets, our bags, our water, all without having to take our bike off. more

Now, I really like this bike rack because of how versatile it is. So if you do wanna take your bike off your bike rack, you can see how it is mounted by one, two, three step straps. Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2017 Jeep Cherokee- Video
What's going on, everybody Adam here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Thule T2 Pro on our 2017 Jeep Cherokee. So, if you're looking for a really solid platform-style rack to get two bikes to and fro, this is gonna be a good one. It looks good and it's nice and solid, but we will be able to add on to this, and make it a four-bike rack. Currently, it's about 60 pounds per bike, but if we do have that add-on, it's gonna be about 40 pounds per bike. But as it is right now, we can use our fat tire bikes and e-bikes, because of the weight capacity. more

Hi, everyone it's Evangaline here at etrailer.com and today we are looking at our RockyMounts Monorail two-bike platform style rack here on our 2020 Jeep Cherokee. Now, this is a really good bike rack if you want something that can do everything at a pretty good price, it can carry your heavy bikes, electric bikes, step-through bikes, carbon frame bikes, like what we have here, as well as your fat tire bikes. Now, one of its features is that it can tilt away and to do so, what you're going to do is you are going to pull this lever here at the bottom, this bright blue lever, and then that allows it to tilt down just like that. And you will want to tilt it down if you want to access your hatch. So you can see there's plenty of space between our door and our handlebars on our bike, allowing us to get in there maybe to get our helmets, our water, whatever we need from our trunk without having to take our bike completely off, which is wonderful. So when you want to bring it back into position, you just need to lift up on the bike rack and you can see that lever snaps into place. more

Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack Review - 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
What's going on everybody, Adam here with etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Ford Rider SE2 for electric bikes on our 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. If you have an inch and a quarter or a two inch hitch that is a class two or higher, we're going to be able to put the Sport Rider SE2 into the hitch be able to carry two heavy bikes, it's about 80 pounds per bike. So if you have two electric bikes, or two fat tire bikes, it's gonna work for that, we can put it on pretty much anything that doesn't have a hitch in between your vehicle that's driving, and whatever you're putting this on, meaning no fifth wheel trailers, no travel trailers, but we can't put it on a motorhome if you have one of those. One feature I really look for in bike racks is the ability to tilt with the bikes installed, so you don't have to mess with taking all the bikes off just to get into the back hatch. So to do that, we have a little pin down low and it is gonna need to be lifted up a little bit to get that pin out. more

So one thing I want to let you guys know first to make this fit properly, we are going to need to add a hitch extender. The one we're using here is a Curt and it is going to add about eight inches to the hitch receiver that you currently have. So just take that into consideration when we're going over the measurements and such. There are other options, so depending on what kind of tire you got and what kind of preference you have on branding or extenders, just go ahead and choose accordingly.But with the Curt eight inch extender, we got this to fit pretty well. more

To swing it away, all we really need to do is just loosen this bottom blue lever and pull this little pin. And as we're swinging out, we can also pull this lever and that's going to allow it to pivot at another point, by doing that, we're going to be able to swing this all the way out and it is going to lock into place. more

It doesn't have an anti-sway cradle. So there is going to be a decent amount of swaying with your bike. And depending on how wide your bike is, you might have a little bit of contact with your center mass, but these two straps up top will protect your bike frame from any damage. Collin: Hey everyone, Collin here at etrailer. Today we have in here a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee and we're going to do a test fit of the RockyMounts WestSlope 3 bike rack. This is a platform style rack that is going to allow you to haul up to three bikes to and from your destination.Now, what I really like about this bike rack, and this is pretty noticeable at the start, it sits very high compared to a lot of other platform racks, and that's thanks to the tiered loading system. So you can see as our first bike sits right here, the next set of quails sits about two to three inches higher and that's going to be the same thing for the top one. That's going to help for spacing of the bikes, to make sure the handlebars or pedals don't make contact with each other. And that's also going to help improve your ground clearance by a lot. more

Yakima Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Randy: Hey guys, it's Randy here at etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the Yakima HangOver. Now essentially this is going to be a rack designed for suspension bikes and it's going to really take care of a lot of the problems we used to have with the platform style racks. Essentially by being able to hang our bikes here in index, you can see we've got four positions, it gives us plenty of ground clearance if we get onto rougher roads. A platform rack holding four big bikes would generally be out here and it'd be closer down to the ground.It has a couple of different positions. You can see right now we're in the middle position as far as being tilted back, and we're at the middle height level. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2018 Jeep Cherokee- Video

This is going to be a platform-style rack that's going to be able to hold up to two e-bikes and has three different tie down points. There's going to be one frame hook right here on your center mass. And there's going to be two zip tie style straps in your little wheel cradles right there. And as you can kind of tell it is a relatively big wheel cradle. more

Saris Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Colin: Hey guys, Colin here at etrailer. Today, we have a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and we're going to do a test fit of the Saris SuperClamp EX two bike platform rack and cargo carrier. Now, this is a pretty unique setup. We're going to have a two bike platform rack on the back of our rack. While on the front, we have a cargo carrier, and that's going to be able to haul any excess equipment on the outside of our vehicle, if you've got bike equipment you don't want on the inside, muddy equipment from the end of the day or even coolers, stuff like that.Now, as far as the cargo carrier, if we look at inside dimensions on it, we're going to have 42 and a quarter inches on the inside rails. There's a slight rise right there, so you will have to make sure that it gets on lower on the inside of those rails when you're stacking cargo. more

This is a hanging style bike rack that's going to allow you to transport up to three bikes to and from your destination. This is kind of a more basic entry-level bike rack, it's not going to have as many features as some other ones out there, but it definitely is going to get the job done. It's going to get your bikes from point A to point B safely.Our bike is connected at two different points. We're going to have two hook and loop straps on our top too, securing them into the cradles. more

That's going to allow you to carry up to 5 bikes to and from your destination. Now, if 5 bikes is a little bit too much of a capacity for you, this is also offered in a four-bike version that's going to be the same exact features. The only difference being that one set of cradles is removed. more

Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Thule Camber Hanging-Style Bike Rack on our 2019 Jeep Cherokee.This is going to be able to hold up to four bikes with three tie-down points per bike. You're going to have two here up top and one anti-sway cradle at the bottom. These are zip-tie-style strap. I'm going to show you how easy it is to remove it.
