We'll start out test fit by inserting the shank of the rack into the hitch on our vehicle. This particular hitch that's on this truck, it comes factory with a 2 1/2 inch hitch and it's got the 2-inch adapter. We're not only lining up the hitch pinholes when we insert our rack, we're also lining up the holes for the adapter. It helps if you can slide this in straight without losing that adapter but it's pretty impossible to do. Since I pushed that adapter back, I feel back here, you can feel where it comes out the backside of the hitch tubing. more

So you want to find a good way to pick it up that you can try to go straight into this hitch, only because it comes standard with a 2-inch hitch or 2 1/2-inch factory and it's got the hitch adapter in there. So if you don't insert the product straight on, it's really easy to slide that adapter back, which I just did. And then you have to try to line it up again. It can be a little difficult. So line up the hitch pin holes, and then you'll insert your pin and clip. more
