Now this is going to be twenty inches wide by forty-eight inches long, and with its sturdy, steel construction it's going to offer a three hundred pound weight capacity. Keep in mind that this is an inch and a quarter shank, and we do have a class two receiver on our vehicle right now. Now, with the hitch pin and clip that attaches this cargo carrier to the vehicle that will not be included. It's going to be part number PC2 on our website if you wish to have one or gift one if you do not already have one. All right, let's go ahead and start off by getting a few measurements. Today on our 2011 Ford F-150, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Detail K2 Cargo Carrier. This rack is going to be 20 inches wide, 60 inches long, have that nice, expanded, metal platform that's going to be easily cleanable. It's also going to have a sturdy steel construction with a 500-pound weight capacity and a folding shank, as you can see, that's going to allow you to tuck it up nicely against the back of the vehicle if you don't have it in use. It will attach to our 2-inch receiver with a 2-inch shank and have a hitch pin and clip to secure it in place. The hitch pin and clip are not included with this, so if you'd like to obtain one, you can get it on our website, part number PC3. Let go ahead and start off by getting a few measurements with it in the stow position here. Our closest distance is going to be on the sides to the backside of the bumper at about 3-1/2 inches. more

It has a max capacity of 500 pounds and it can be used for 1 1/4 or 2-inch hitches. We've got a 2-inch hitch here today, so we're going to be using our adapter. We can go ahead and begin by inserting our shank into our receiver. Next, we'll line up our pin holes, then we'll take our included anti-rattle bolt and thread that through. Once we get that hand tight we'll go ahead and take our socket wrench and tighten that the rest of the way down. more

To begin the test fit we're just going to slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch. As we do we want to line up our hole with our hitch pinhole. We'll then take the anti-rattle bolt which is provided and we're going to thread that in. more

To begin our test fit we need to slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch. Now if you don't have a buddy handy, a strategy that I've adopted is just allow that to rest in the opening and then we'll lift up and push in on the rear. We'll then line up our pinhole here with our hitch pinhole. more

Today on our 2005 Ford Escape we will be test fitting the 24 by 60 Surco Cargo Carrier for 2 inch hitches with a 500 pound capacity part number 52018. To install the cargo carrier, we'll go ahead and take the shank and insert it into the trailer hitch. We'll line up the pin holes, slide in the pin and secure it with a clip on the other side. With the rack installed, we have about 16 inches of ground clearance. Nearest point of the basket to the rear bumper is about 4 1/2 inches and we've added roughly 30 inches to the overall length of the Escape. With the basket installed, we're ready to go. Today on our 2005 Ford Escape we'll be test fitting the 31 x 47 Pro Series Solo Cargo Carrier for 2 inch hitches with a 400 pound capacity part number PS1040100. We will start by inserting the shank of the rack into the hitch. We'll line up the pin holes, insert the pin and secure it with a clip on the other side. With the rack installed we have about 18 inches of ground clearance. Roughly 10 1/2 inches from the nearest point of the car to the basket and we've added about 43 inches of overall length to our Escape. Now it is worth mentioning that the exhaust exits on the passenger side of this vehicles, and the exhaust sits about 17 1/2 inches away from the basket. When opening the rear door of our Escape it breaks about 20 inches above the basket. That concludes today's test fit of the 31 x 47 Pro Series Solo Cargo Carrier part number PS1040100 on a 2005 Ford Escape. . more

To install the rack we'll go ahead and insert the shank of the rack into the trailer hitch. We'll line up the pin holes, slide in the pin and secure it with a clip on the other side. With the rack installed we have about 14 inches of ground clearance. The nearest point of the rack to the bumper is about 7 inches and we've added about 29 inches of overall length to the Escape. Now it is worth mentioning that the exhaust exits on the passenger side of this vehicles, and is about 14 inches away from the basket. When opening the rear door of the Escape it breaks about 21 inches above the basket. Today on our 2008 Ford Escape, we are going to be doing a test fit on the Hollywood Racks 15/12x55 Cargo Carrier. This can be used as a stand alone carrier or it can also easily be added on to the rear of the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE2 part number HR1450 or the Hollywood Rack Sport Rider part number HR1400. The cargo carrier as a stand alone item is going to offer us a weight capacity of up to 220 pounds. When added to the rear of a bike rack, it's going to offer us a 90 pound weight capacity. Part number on it is HR1485. To begin our test fit we've already put our adapter that converts this from fitting into the back of the bike rack onto it, it's going to convert it into a two inch style hitch or two inch style shank which we can slide into a two inch receiver tube. We are going to slide this in until we line up the pin holes, we've got one in the shank and one in the hitch. more
