It's a proportional brake controller, which is going to feel better than your time-delay brake controllers that are available out there. What proportional means is that it has an inertia sensor inside, so it detects the momentum of the vehicle as it's stopping, and it uses that momentum that it's detecting coming to a stop to determine the output signal to your trailer brakes to appropriate apply those so that way it matches the braking force of your vehicle.Our brake controller has two knobs on it. The right knob is our gain adjustment, which will allow us to adjust the sensitivity of the output to our trailer, and the knob on the left side is for adjusting the level.
