Now here are what our wiring harnesses are going to look like when you pull them out of the packaging. Now the biggest differences you're going to see between the two kits I think are going to be reliability and power output. Now both of these converter boxes are going to give us the level of power that we're going to need for any standard size trailer. If you get into a trailer that has a lot of incandescent lights on it, the CURT's probably going to be the way to go. It offers three amps per turn and brake signal, so three amps for the left, three amps for the right, and it gives us six amps for our running light circuit. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2012 Volvo XC90 we're gonna take a look at, and also show you how to install, the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with the 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector. Part number is 118411.Now this is what our harness is gonna look like when we pull it out of the package. Here we've got our 4-pole flat trailer connector, this works with all your standard utility trailers, cargo carriers, things like that. This is gonna give us right turn and brake, left turn and brake, running lights, and also a ground to complete our circuit. You can see it has an attached dust cover there, it's gonna help keep out any moisture, debris, and prevent corrosion.Now, that wire's gonna come right out of our module box. Now this box is designed to take signals that it gets from behind the driver's side taillight housing and from behind the passenger's side taillight housing, using the T-connector. more
