Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2012 Nissan Xterra

Today on our 2012 Nissan Xterra we'll be installing this Tow Ready Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-pole flat connector part number 118525. We're first going to locate the manufacturer's tow port at the back of the vehicle. It'll be a gray plug. The plug also has a weather-proof cap on the end of it that will need to be removed. In order to remove it we'll press on the locking tab of the cap and then remove it. Next we'll take our matching pig tail with the gray connector and plug directly into the manufacturer's tow port. Now we'll route the pig tail to the end of the frame, down the hitch, ultimately we'll secure it to the chain hold down on the hitch. more
