Today on our 2014 Ford Focus we'll be looking at our best wiring options. We have two wiring options here today. If you have a hatchback model, we have different options available for you on our website. Over here to your right we have the Tekonsha T1 vehicle wiring harness with a four-pole flat connector, part number 118548. Over here to the left we have the CURT vehicle wiring harness with t-connector, part number C56138. This will also give us a four-pole flat trailer connector. Now both of our boxes here provide our trailer's lighting functions, isolated from our vehicle's wiring system. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2014 Ford Focus

Today on our 2014 Ford Focus sedan, we'll be installing the Curt key connector vehicle wiring harness for forward pull flat trailer connector, part number C56138. Now we want to use our wire to hook up to our trailer. We can just set it aside here to the side of our latch of our trunk. Close our trunk on down and we have plenty of wire to make our connection to our trailer. And now when we're not towing our trailer, we can stow it out of the way inside of our trunk. Just open up our spare tire cover here, drop it on inside, close it on up, it's out of the way. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2014 Ford Focus 118549

Today on our 2014 Ford Focus Five Door we're going to be installing the Tow Ready T1 Vehicle Wiring Harness, part number 118549. We're going to begin by raising the rear hatch of the vehicle. Now that we have our rear hatch open go ahead and set this trunk cover aside for now. Go ahead and set the spare tire out as well. The reason why I took all that out is to gain access to this grommet that we'll be using in a little bit. Now that we have the trunk area cleared out next we're going to need to remove this panel right here to gain access to the nuts that are behind the taillight assembly. Simply push in and pull outward and set it aside. Now with our panel removed let's go ahead and point out the two plastic nuts that we'll need to remove. more
