John: Hey guys, John here from etrailer.com. Today we have our 2010 Chevy Equinox and we are test fitting the Thule Hitching Post Pro. This is a great way to get your bikes to your favorite destination, without trying to fit them into the rear hatch area or install a roof rack and try to load them up on the roof. This can hold up to four bikes, lean 45 pounds each and it is designed for both one and a quarter inch and two inch trailer hitch receivers. So it can work on multiple different vehicles as well if you have something else. Our bike here is secured at three different places with two straps on top, and then an anti-sway cradle here. more

This is designed for both one and a quarter inch and two inch trailer hitch receivers. It's a great way to get your bikes to your favorite destination without trying to fit all of them into the rear hatch area or install roof rack, and try to load them up on top of our vehicle. This has a weight capacity of a hundred pounds, so about 30, 35 pounds per bike. Don't recommend putting anything too heavy on this. more

To begin our test fit well slide the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch tube, align our threaded pin hole, well thread our anti-rattle bolt through the threaded pin hole and tighten with a wrench. Now, lets go over some clearance measurements to see how the carrier and this vehicle fit together. There is about 12-1/2 inches of ground clearance. The closest part of the vehicle to the closest part of the carrier is about 2-1/2 inches. Weve added about 12 inches to the overall length of the vehicle. more

Today on our 2010 Chevy Equinox well be test fitting the Thule Apex 4 Bike Carrier part number TH9025. To begin our test fit well slide the shank of the carrier into the opening of the receiver tube, line up our pin hole and secure it with a spring loaded pin. Turn the black knob located at the base of the carrier to engage the anti-rattle device. Now, lets go over some clearance measurements to see how the carrier and this vehicle fit together. There is about 13 inches of ground clearance. The closest part of the vehicle to the closest part of the carrier is about 6 inches. more

With our vehicle already equipped with the 2-inch hitch and our bike rack already pre-assembled, we're ready to go ahead and fit it to the vehicle. We'll begin by taking the bike rack, inserting the shank into the hitch. We'll line up the hitch pinhole and insert our anti-rattle bolt. With our anti-rattle bolt snugged, we can go ahead and tighten it down using our wrench and insert our safety pin. more

Today in our 2010 Chevrolet equinox will be test fitting a Thule vertex 4-bike carrier. Part number TH9029 with our vehicle already equipped with a two-inch hitch in our bike carrier already preassembled were ready to go ahead and fit it to the vehicle. Well begin by inserting the shank in to the hitch well line up the hitch pin hole and then well go ahead and install our anti-rear bolt with our anti rear snagged up when go ahead and tight it down using our wrench. Now that the bike rack is secured to the vehicle we go ahead and show you couple of measurements from the bottom of the bike-rack to the floor is 12 1/2 inches from the closest point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle is five inches. Now we go ahead and pull the bike rack out of the way and now open cargo door. As you can see we have full access to the cargo area. more
