CIPA Clip-On Towing Mirror Installation - 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500- Video
Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Crew Cab we'll be installing the Cipa Clip On Towing Mirror, that's part number 7070. To begin our installation of our towing mirror you want to open up your pivot arms. If you look here you'll see that these are designed to grab on to the inner-casing of the mirror. What I like to do when I have it placed, I like to go ahead and do one strap, that way it holds the mirror. That way I can do all my adjustments, put the mirror where I want it, and then finally doing the last strap. It makes for a final nice, tight fit. If you see here we're able to move our mirror back and forth or up and down with a full swivel action. I'll also show you that it adds right about 5" onto our factory mirror. more

Today on our 2011 Chevrolet Equinox, we're going to install part number 7070, the CIPA clip-on towing mirror. One detail about the towing mirror is that the mirror surface itself has a dimension of 5 inches by 7-1/2 inches. This part number also includes just one towing mirror so if you want one on each side you need to order two of the same part number. Now we have ours installed on the passenger's side mirror to show you the features and then we'll go ahead and show you how to install it. The features are pretty simple. You've got a large towing mirror right here that's on a ball joint that you can move in any direction that you want and then spin it around that way as well. This is a universal mirror so this will attach to a variety of different mirror designs. more

Today on our 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD Crew Cab, we're going to be doing a quick installation of the CIPA Custom Towing Mirrors, part number CM10880. Now this part number is for both the driver and the passenger's side. If you don't need a complete kit, these are also sold individually. For the passenger's side, that's part number CM10802 and for the driver's side it will be part number CM10801. Now to begin with, we've already gone ahead and installed the passenger's side mirror so you can see what it looks like. Now, we still have full function of our factory mirror because out here is our towing mirror, this is a manual mirror so you will need to move it by hand. Just simply slides over the top of your factory mirror. more

It's on a ball socket and you can move it in any direction that you want. It's pretty tight but you can see that if I move this I'm actually moving a little bit of the truck mirror as well so it's nice and tight. more

Today on our 2009 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Regular Cab we're going to be doing a test fit of the CIPA Custom Towing Mirrors in a slip on design for both the driver and the passenger side, part number CM10900. The CIPA custom towing mirrors are available to be purchased individually as well. For the driver side it's part number 10901. For the passenger side it's part number 10902. If your factory mirror looks like this, then this CIPA Custom Towing Mirror is correct for you. Before we install our mirror on our factory mirror it's a good idea to clean and dirt and debris off of the back side of the mirror that may be present. This will help keep the factory mirror from getting scratches on it from dirt rubbing between the factory mirror and the CIPA custom towing mirror. Today on our 2009 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Regular Cab were going to be doing a test fit of the K Source Universal Towing Mirror in a clip-on design, part number KS3891. Were going to stand here at the corner of the vehicle and you can see me in the factory mirror. Now all it takes is a couple steps to my left and you wont be able to see me anymore potentially where a car could be in your blind spot. But yet now if you look in the K Source towing mirror you can see me. Now Im standing about five feet away from the corner of the vehicle, essentially where a car would be in your blind spot. As you can see you can see much better behind your vehicle now and hopefully youll have a much better enjoyable and safer towing experience. Heres what our factory mirror looks like on our truck and heres what the K Source Universal Towing Mirror looks like. It has a dual ratchet system that secures the mirror to your factory mirror. It has some rubber straps as well as some plastic sections on it that help secure it. more

We've already gone ahead and installed one over here on the passenger side just so you could see what it'll look like. Now before we begin our installation of the mirror, it's a good idea to take a wet paper towel and to clean off any dirt and debris that may be on the back side of the mirror here. The CIPA Custom Towing Mirror is a sleek and stylish design to prevent vibrations and wind noise. It simply slides up and over the original manufacturer's mirror. Here, it has a manual mirror that can be adjusted up, down, in, or out as necessary to view your towing product. As you can see, its sturdy design won't move around even at highway speeds. To begin our test fit, we're just going to go ahead and place our adjustable portion -it adjusts in two different areas, up here at the housing. You can see how the arms adjust different directions and then right here where the arms connect, those are going to pivot as well to make this a universal fit. Today, on our 2011 Chevrolet Express Van, were going to do a test fit of part number LVT-1700. This is a Longview Towing Mirror. To do our test fits going to be very simple. Well take the mirror and slide it onto the original factory mirror. Well make sure that the hook fastens onto the end of the factory mirror, and the threader part goes through the loop thats at the end of the Longview mirror.Well squeeze the two together to run the threads through the loop, and then well install the knob. Well give the knob a few turns, to make sure its straight, then tighten it down for good. more

Today on our 2012 Mazda 5, well be test fitting the Thule Sonic large rooftop cargo box, measuring 13 cubic feet in glossy black, part number TH634B. With the Thule Arrowblade podium roof rack system on our vehicle well begin our test fit by placing our box directly onto our load bars. With the feet hanging out of the bottom of the box we can adjust them as necessary to fit around each bar. Well open the passenger side of the box and tighten the two feet on this side using the hand knobs to secure our feet around our bars. One of the great features of the Thule Sonic is its ability to let you know when each foot is secured around the bar. When tightening youll hear a clicking noise to let you know its secure. more

Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 Series Crew Cab we'll be test fitting the K Source Custom Towing Mirrors, part number KS80900. We'll go ahead and place our towing mirror over our existing mirror, bring it around front until we hear all those snaps snap in place. We want to make sure that we have the three snaps at the top around the lip of our mirror and the one long one here at the bottom around the lip of our mirror. Now we'll grab our driver's side mirror and repeat this process for our driver's side. You can push on the corners of the mirror to adjust it as needed when hauling your equipment. Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 Series Crew Cab, we'll be test fitting the CIPA Towing Mirror for the driver's side part number 10901. This is also available for the passenger's side with part number 10902. When we're looking up our towing mirror box, we see that we have a wedge, two thumb strips, and a screw. Now the thump strips we're already installed so that way you can see where to place them on your towing mirror. There's a guideline right here and underneath the strip is this foam, that way it tells you specifically where to put these foam pad. We have it installed right there, the other foam pad was on the wedge. Now I'm going to be placing our towing mirror under the mirror connected to our truck. more

Today on our 2005 Chevrolet Silverado we'll be test fitting the long-view custom fit slip on towing mirrors, part number CTM1500. The mirrors are custom molded to fit your OEM mirror. There's an adjustable glass panel that allows you to extend the viewing angle of your vehicle's mirror. That way you can see your trailer when you're moving it into a tight spot or just have an enlarged viewing angle for trailering down the road. Then we'll install our felt pad on the inside of the mirror housing to help protect our OEM mirror. We'll slip it over our factory mirror on the truck and then use the hook on the face of the mirror and the knob on the backside to tighten it down and keep it in place. Now, we'll quickly show you what kind of extended field division you'll have behind the rear of your vehicle. CIPA Custom Towing Mirror Installation - 2005 Chevrolet Silverado- Video
Today on our 2005 Chevrolet Silverado were going to test fit the Cipa custom towing mirrors, part number 10801 for the drivers side, and number 10802 for the passenger side. Included with the mirror is a custom fit wedge and a pad designed to specifically fit the contours of your OEM mirror. Well put our felt pad over the wedge so that we can secure it against the back of the mirror without damaging the factory mirror. Well put our wedge into position by slipping it over this tab molded on the inside of our new mirror. Well slide the bottom lip over our OEM mirror and then snap the top lip around over the top of the mirror. Then well thread in our knob and tighten up the wedge against our OEM mirror. more

Today on this 1999 Chevrolet CK Series Pickup, were going to do a test fit of part number CTM1200 Longviews Custom Towing Mirrors. This part number has mirrors to both sides of the vehicle. All right, to start off the test fit we can go ahead and take one of the mirrors and slide it onto the factory mirror. Well be starting off with the passenger side and then well install our hardware. Our hardware consists of one hook and a knob. We want to take the hook and thread it through the mirror and then loosely thread on the knob. more

Today on this 1999 Chevrolet CK series pickup were going to do a test fit of part number 10201 from Cipa. This is their custom towing mirror. All right, to start off our test fit were going to go ahead and slide it on top of the factory mirror. As you can see from the mirror side, we slide it on and it matches the contour on the factory mirror. Now on the front side, well go ahead and slide it into place and theres also a wedge that goes in there that helps to grip the mirror. With the mirror off we can see where the wedge fits inside the mirror. more

Today on this 2011 Chevrolet Tahoe were going to do a test fit of part number 10901 from Cipa. This is their custom towing mirror for the drivers side. Well start off our test fit by sliding on the new Cipa mirror over the factory mirror and well go out three quarters of the way. Then well take our wedge and put it between the Cipa mirror and the factory mirror. Then well push the two together. Well make sure that the towing mirror is fully seated onto the original mirror, and then well go ahead and install the locking knob. more

Today on the 2011 Chevrolet Suburban were going to test fit part number 10901 and then 10902 from Cipa. This is their custom towing mirror. To start off our test fit were going to go ahead and take our mirror and slide it over the factory mirror. You can see how the new Cipa mirror wraps around the edges of the factory mirror if you slide it on. Now well slide it on 3/4 away and then well go ahead and take our wedge thatll help secure the mirror and slide it in place into the track thats inside of the mirror. We'll take the new towing mirror and slide it over the existing factory mirror. We'll slide it on part of the way and then install the wedge. The wedge goes between the new mirror and the old mirror. Today on our 2006 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, well be test fitting the Longview Custom Towing Mirrors part number CT1500. Now this is a two-piece kit supplying you with both the drivers and passenger side mirror extenders. They come complete with the hardware and our easily installed in minutes without any tool. Well simply slide them over the mirror and using the hook and knob, well secure them on the inside of the mirror. Youll notice that there mirrors are fully adjustable manually and they will not interfere with the factory adjustment of the standard mirror.
